That one shot aside, McGinn has been a passenger and keeps losing the ball
He created our best chance of the game for Watkins mate.

We are looking better. Statistically we are the better team - 60/40 possession 8/6 shots 2/1 shots on target
Not to mention their goal never should have stood.

Inept or corrupt. Take your pick.

YELLOW CARD HIM YOU **** CHEATING word removed

Very happy with our play so far. Refreshing to see what we're capable of despite the ref working against us.

Kamara thought he was Leon Bailey for a while.
But why TF no foul???!!!?
He was better than Leon Bailey for a moment there.

We look good going forward but boy do we look shaky at the back. I think we're gonna need 3 goals at least to win this today.
-
Ramsey please snap out of it and rip that **** net out.

4 starts in 14 days. Playing in a two man midfield while covering for Matty Cash in a team ravaged by injuries alongside other players who've been run into the ground. No shit he misplaced a few passes.

He's found his shooting boots at last.

I'm starting to think Chambers would be better than Cash. Am I losing my mind?

Why does Bailey keep trying to pass through players?
Because he has no claret & blue shirts to pass to.

3-0 down at home and we’re playing with less urgency than when we were 4-0 up at the weekend
I agree. Someone write 'URGENCY' in a paper aeroplane and send it onto the pitch quick and we'll easily win this 3-4.

Says a lot when they're bringing on Silva, Nkunku, Sterling and others while we stew over whether to bring on Kellyman or Iroebugnam.

Uncontested? It was blocked lmfao. What?

Would’ve been nice to see KKH get a shot.

Carlos needs to be very, very careful or this is gonna be a long evening.

Regardless of what he's been doing lately I cannot think of a player more unsuitable to a system like Emery's.
Other than Leander Dendoncker perhaps. -

At the risk of sounding rather simplistic, probably because they tend to play more. Therefore more chance of injury.
Chambers isn’t likely going to get injured while not playing.
Didn’t Konsa smash into the post? That’s unlucky.

As another example Ollie has a work rate that you can't teach, his dink tonight is something that based on videos he's spent loads of time on and improved on
Ollie *is* a perfect example in that he now conserves his energy and is learning all the time. He's always been able to finish but it's harder when you've been chasing shadows across the pitch for 90 minutes with your manager (Gerrard) egging you on to 'put yourself about'. Personally I think the biggest impact on his finishing has been his fatigue management. That's not to say you can't practice and improve your finishing but there's other factors at play that can be coached.

You can coach the finish
You can't coach the slowing down of the run to lose the defender, he slowed down and then changed the angle too, the defender matches diabys speed and runs in a straight line, Rodgers didn't, the finish was snatched at probably nervously but the movement was everything it needed to be
In terms of 'coachability' I'd argue it's the opposite. A natural finisher is pure talent/instinct imo. You can coach movement. Where to look. What space to occupy. You can learn to anticipate defenders movements/habits and of course you can study the movement of the greats.
Nitpick aside (sorry), I agree the movement is a fantastic sign that he knows the game despite his age. Can't wait to see more and we can unearth exactly what Emery sees in him. Exciting! -
I still prefer Ings.
