Without a doubt I want McGinn back on the right and Philogene in for Bailey on the left.

Why? Bailey didn’t have anything to do with the 2nd goal. Tonali got plenty of time from our left side and it was McGinn who didn’t follow his man

this Bailey bashing is getting ridiculous

  2. After having talked to one of my Roma supporting friends, who says that his technical abilities are among the best in Europe, but his daily form depends on his mood, I have decided I want him. He can be an absolutely steal, look at his ball control, it's so much better than Watkins and I think Emery has the abilities to get him to perform

  3. He played well today and had some really good passes and runs, one diagonal pass to Digne in the box and some good defending too. People saying otherwise apparently didn't see the game or their views are colored by previous performances.

Played for Copenhagen so would be a lange signing

No, he played for FC Nordsjælland and from what I remember, i think it requires a lot of work before he is ready to play for us

I’m stealing this trend off twitter but I wanted to know who are you guys 'hear me out' signing(s) for this summer. It has to be someone that’s not considered exciting/or hasn’t worked out for a team but you know there’s still a potential good player there.

I’ve said mine a couple days ago and I think Scamacca could flourish under Emery.

I would go for Paredes and Ziyech. Neither has really worked out as expected for their clubs. Paredes ended up on loan to Juventus and Ziyech transfer to PSG fell through and with Asensio, they might not come back

Terrible keepers don't win The Best FIFA Goalkeeper award.

    Ok, let me rephrase it.

I would say NO to Mendy, I think he is a terrible keeper and always have

  7. For me, in the game against United, what pissed me off the most was him walking back, not trying to get the ball back on several occasions, even with United players running past him close by...not even try to put them under pressure.

Really? That's fine if you disagree, but please present counterpoints, otherwise it's a little redundant stating your disagreement.

Ok, he was substituted at a time where we more or less tried to run the time down, wasn’t overly interested in attacking, but I thought he tried. He didn’t try to overdo things like he has been used to. The finish he had and as you mentioned, it came when he just came on the field, so him not being able to hit the target, is actually in my view OK, at least he managed to get in a position where he could finish. He almost found Young later on after a pass from Watkins and I really can’t remember he lost the ball as much as you think he did.

At the risk of seeming meanspirited after a great win (yeah yeah, I know, I know)....... I still just cannot see how he fits into this team, or what he brings. Came on, had a great chance in lots of space, didn't even nearly put it on target. Otherwise fairly anonymous and gave possession away more than he held onto it.

I'll be impressed if we get 50% of our outlay back on this guy, but either way I'd rather we gave some of the kids and Duran a go.

I really don’t agree with how you look at his game today

He's the kind of player that if he was Danish or Columbian (or that level of national team) you could see him popping up in a major tournament and bagging some goals and assists, and looking like a star. If everything lines up he's got talent.

The problem is he's streakier than Poundland bacon.

He's decent enough, just not for top half in the Prem, maybe based on mentality not bottom either - but as many have said a move to the continent would be more suited to his style of play.

errrrmmm, you do know that Denmark rank among top 10 in the world, only 2 places below Holland, so I guess if you thin hecan do it for denmark, he might as well do it for Holland

Gold lion on blue is the biggest issue we have at the moment.  Why would you want to keep it that way?

Because I'm nostalgic, and it was that crest on my first Villa shirt in 1982. I have never had a problem with gold on blue...

Just as long as the lion is no longer yellow, it will be an improvement on the hideous thing we have now.

I would personally go round badge, claret outer circle, blue middle and claret lion.

My preference as well, but would go with gold lion instead of claret and Aston Villa in gold as well.
