AOC has posted solidly about this. Apparently prior to the visit a Facebook group of border patrol employees was revealed that basically was riddled with insults and threats against her. I think she ultimately made the conclusion that there probably is a correlation between the kind of people the border patrol employs and the treatment there is of migrants 'in their care'.
The private FB group contained 9,500 members. Border Patrol employs 20,000.........

Oooooh - Controversial!
Johnny Pearson - 'Heavy Action' - Superstars here, Monday Night Football in the US.
Si Begg & Johnny Pearson - 'Sound Clash Superstars' - Dancefloor stomper version of the above.
Sam Fonteyne - 'Pop Looks Bach' - Ski Sunday.
Booker T And The MGs - 'Soul Limbo' - Cricket.
Not sport, but competitive, Chess used to have Morricone's 'Come Maddalena'.
Surely this is the Mac Daddy of them all?

I'm playing on the soundtrack to "Gemini Man" next week. I didn't know anything about the movie so I looked it up.
Apparently it's Will Smith meeting his biggest nemesis. Will Smith.

Escape to Victory - Soundtrack by Bill Conti - 1981
I saw this film when i was 10, at the time I thought it was one of the greatest films going. I absolutely loved it, I can remember shouting "Win, win" (same as in Rocky to be fair) at the telly with my brother, seeing Pele at the end and it's a goose bump thing (It all went slow motion) . (I cannot be the only one to have tried (overhead kick) it in the garden) ?
I will never forget how happy I was when i watched this. My old man telling me about players I didn't know about, us both hating any Ipswitch players for obvious reasons :-).
Don't forget, at the time I saw it we were champions of the whole of Europe.
So the music, could not have been better in the film. Ace.
Conti also did the soundtrack to "The Spy Who Loved Me." Lots of wah-wah guitar
Also has my favorite Bond moment.

It's an excellent piece of music, but the Grandstand theme remains the best BBC sports intro music for me.
Good shout but I'd go with:
Nice high G in the trumpet at the end

Oasis fans reckon everyone likes Oasis. Seriously, people don't. They were just really bland and then they got blander as time went on the got even more bland.
Oasis are Status Quo who learned how to play one more chord.

I'd like us to buy the land between the ground and the railway station, so that you can get off a train and walk down the steps off the platform into Villa Park via the impressive rear of a massive new Witton Lane stand.
I'd like the area from the back of the North stand to Witton Island redeveloped with underground parking; a new office, shop and ticket office building, a museum and properly structured landscaping right across the North Stand car park with a pre-match (outdoor) pub and German market feel.
I'd like the car park between the Holte Pub and the Holte End made level, with cars moved underneath and a fan garden area with another outdoor bar and food market on top.
I'd like a ground that looks from the outside like some giant, dark satanic mill, like Tim Burton drew it, a Gaudi-esque masterpiece of Victorian brickwork, St Pancras station as a sporting edifice, the kind of place that has young children wondering what goes on inside, the kind of building that causes chaos on the M6 as people stare in awe, the kind of building that kids in Spain dream of visiting, that becomes the building that people associate with this city, our Eiffel Tower. From the outside, I want an ornate brick castle for a Victorian adventurer, on the inside I want a shiny explosion of light and chrome and colour and modernity. I want the spaceship from Close Encounters, crashed into the Albert Hall with a lush green pitch in the middle.
I think I may have covered off the "being ambitious enough" thing. I think about this way too often.
Write this to Purslow Edens & Sawiris please. This is the vision people at the top of the club should have.
Sublime.

Some beauties from down the (more recent) years to whet the appetite.
(Dalian )
It still pisses me off that Lowton's goal wasn't goal of the month because Van Persie's goal against us won. But that goal was OFFSIDE - and went on to win goal of the season. Lowton would have won it if the officials knew how to do their job
RIP Dalian. What a talent.

People will fly in from all over the country for this.
Portland Oregon in Lamberts 1st season was fantastic. Lot of expats as well as a few Yankee glory hunters*

@HanoiVillan suggested listening to hildur guðnadóttir who I'd never heard of before. By chance I ended up working with her this week on the soundtrack to the new Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix. She's written all the music and is very nice.
Very much a soundscape score, minimal melody but very atmospheric and LIVE instruments instead of fake ones woo hoo!

She's quite successful with her own Interior Design Company in Bournemouth (Tyrone is a director) can understand why she would be reluctant as she essentially has her own business, is relatively successful doing it and seemingly is at conferences, talks or with clients regularly and has built that up in and around Bournemouth. Imagine she would have the same grievances anywhere that wasn't in that neck of the woods or London and can't really blame her.
I'll bloody blame her if Mings doesn't play for us next season.
Now quit faffing about and go and get Tyrone's dinner ready love.

TS must have liked what he's seen. On the OS he's quotes as saying :
He told AVTV: "We are delighted that Gary has signed a long-term contract because we do see him as the future of the football club.
"It's too easy to discard your homegrown players. I am not one to do that.
"We will give him every opportunity to play for the club he loves.

This is the last time I clicked on Gary's thread which says a lot about how interested in him I am/was.
Thanks Sherwood

Cheers fellas, all very helpful.
Any idea how I can get NBC Gold without having a US address etc? I'll be travelling you see.
It was $50 last year for the season. No idea if it will be the same price.
Will you have a US credit card? If not I'm happy to buy it for you and you can PayPal me back. Unfortunately they limit to one stream per login otherwise I would just give you my login info.
