  1. On another note i'm glad they didn't let Westwood come back on even though he wanted too. Concussion is dangerous and can't be diagnosed really. With any head injury its better to be safe than sorry.

  2.                          GUZAN

    HUTTON - RICHARDS - CLARK - AMAVI

                  SANCHEZ -  GANA

    TRAORE              GIL        GREALISH

                              AYEW

Two holding midfielders will be needed with Kane dropping deep and Eriksen causing havoc.

That top 4 will cause hell on the break. The 3 in behind the striker are all good enough to interlink and swap positions when required.

  3. That statement today is incredible. The UK spend public money bidding for that, that means your money and mine - out tax went on a bidding process that was actually irrelevant and has been admitted as such, openly and clearly.

    That's prison that is.

Indeed. Its quite frankly astonishing. There's no other way to put it, its fraud.

  4. Still can't believe these idiots have been in charge for so long. If Platini somehow becomes head of FIFA it will only get worse.

I fear his corruption goes as far as match fixing. Remember the Man u v Chelsea CL final in Russia, he was bemoaning the Premier leagues dominance, free market etc. What happened next year?

Man u were waiting in the final again, Chelsea were fixed out of the semi final against Barcelona with the 4/5 blatant non penalties etc. There's no way that match wasn't fixed in some way. That was Mark Clattenburg'esque refereeing.

I personally don't think the corruption just stops at taking bribes, fixing world cup venues etc.......

  5. Around 12-15th for me. We have enough "firepower" but that defence really worries me. I hope its just match fitness but Richards has been a huge liability at center back all pre season. Now he's captiain he guaranteed to start every game. Perhaps Sherwood will grow a pair and move him to RB.

  6. TJ Dillashaw made Barao look like an amateur.

The fact that Barao is 33-3 with 2 of those 3 being losses to TJ, it just shows how good TJ is now!

I have no idea who TJ fights next though! Dominick Cruz is injured. Raphael Assuncao is injured. Him and Faber won't fight each other. Eddie Wineland lost last night. Who does that leave? Michael McDonald. A man that TJ would run through.

Unless he decides to wait for Cruz or Assuncao.

Also, I'm not exactly jumping for joy at the thought of seeing Rousey Vs Tate for the third time. They need to get the Cyborg situation sorted out!

TJ's helping Faber coach the TUF against Conor McGregor, and he's already been shouting off about him.

If/when Aldo pulls out of another fight, i'd love to see TJ jump up 10 pounds and take on the fight!

  7. Out of Chelsea, Spurs, Wigan, Swansea, Southampton, West Brom, Newcastle, West Ham. 10 points is VERY realistic, however requiring 14 points out the last 13 games is not guaranteed..These next 8 games are REALLY important for our season. If we cant pick up a few wins we could be in massive trouble.

Thinking positively, if we could pick up 4 wins and a grab a draw or 2 we would be in a fantastic position,

  8. He works his absolute tits off Yesterday. Definitely deserves a start. If we are going to play that 451/433 formation with Benteke up front we need quick and hard working players to do the job out wide defensively, yet make sure they are up top when needed. fantastic performance and I think this role will really suit him!

  9. I completely agree with the OP thoughts about some of our "fans".

I was a Holte End upper season ticket holder for 9 seasons, whilst going to at least 10 away games a season (whatever I could afford or justify to the family). Even under Graham Taylor, DoL etc I loved it. Yes there were downs, but most games turned out to be an enjoyable experience with my Villa family.

Its easy to support a poor footballing team when your actually having a good time with your fellow understanding fans. Those who realise the reality of the footballing situation we are in. After the failed dawn of MoN, things changed. The overall atmosphere of our some of our "die hard" supporters changed. Literally EVERY time Gabby gets tackled I'd hear someone shout "Gabby your SH**", Ireland misplaced pass "Ireland your a C*** and so on and so on. It almost like some go to VP or away games just so they could have a moan and let out some stress.

New season, new optimism, new manager. Brilliant. I blackmailed the Mrs into going to her first ever football game. Bought the new kit. That feeling of optimism building on the train. Pre game the Holte was ROCKING!, brilliant, the atmosphere, the positivity I used to love. We are playing with a squad of such youth, young players who needed to be encouraged, we gave it.... for 30 mins, then back to the Same old SH**. "Get that F***ing piece of sh** off" (after making 2 bad passes) and so on and so on.

The only thing the Mrs did after that was make me promise i'd never take our son to sit anywhere near the Holte End. I agreed.

  10. Sorry to be blunt but this a stupid thread.

All kids have to be "blooded" the correct way.

As someone else pointed out, take Spurs. Livermore, Caulker, Walker, Naughton, Rose and Townsend. Most agree those will become fine Premier League players.

If spurs week in and week out had a back 4 consisting of Caulker, Naughton and Walker they wouldn't do much better than ours. Would we bury those players as having no future.

Most PL teams will have 1 or 2 young players with 9 or 10 experienced. We are the other way round.

  11. I think the club are clearly better then Southampton, Wigan and Reading. I know Wigan came 2 points ahead last sason but they have been weakened slightly.

It depends on how shrewd Martinez is on spending the money from the Moses sale to Chelsea. They need goals more than anything, and Di Santo isn't going to score more than 10. He only got 7 last season in 31apps.

  12. If PL thought we needed him we would of tied him up ages ago.

We have the money, if the budget was that small he wouldn't of spent 3 mill on a youngster who wont develop for a year or 2.

Either PL has tried to buy time, assess current defenders on this tour, and its backfired. or a better CB has become available.

  13. I'd be happy to see the back of Collins. even last night he has a complete inability to play the ball to a midfielder.. just lumps it up into space, he earns high wages. also rumoured to be disruptive.

We have a potentially really good CB in Clark who will be promoted to third in line providing we sign vlaar. I don't want to make the same mistake we made with Gary cahill.

  14. However many reps you do its important to aim to fail on the last rep, or at least be struggling. If you don't, then bump up the weight slightly. If you dont fail or struggle on the last rep, then to be frank your not working hard enough imo.

For those saying 5 reps... only with dead lifts will i go as low as 5 (5x5).

The blokes train with go for 3 sets of 7-8 reps for each exercise (failing on the 7th or 8th)... I listen to them because they are STACKED, one being a personal trainer / natural bodybuilder (does natural comps).

Also obviously the MOST important thing about Toning, or building muscle mass is your Diet... without a doubt.

For those interested in break downs I do:

    Mon: chest

    Tues: Back/lats

    Weds: legs

    Thurs: Shoulder + traps

    Friday: arms
