  1. Really like the look of him and would love him to stay….but at the end of the day we want players at the club who want to stay and fight for a place in the team

He is at Aston Villa and that should be enough….if not then he’s better off gone

  2. We’ve got a strong squad and some really good players. One of the best I can remember. It all counts for nothing though if they don’t believe we’re good enough to compete

Mentality is what Steven Gerrard needs to address with the players. Mental strength under pressure. Easier said than  done

Having high profile players at the club like Courtinho helps. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some others…

Having players like that in your squad that the other players can learn from and look up to

Against Liverpool at home it was a free hit and although they lost they played with no fear and put in a great performance

It’s no easy thing to do but will be interesting to see what happens next season.

Look, I don’t want to be negative but from the moment Dean Smith was sacked I have thought the same:

Why did we sack a Villa till I die manager for a replacement who is Premier league unproven and basically a gamble and not an upgrade

We are a stepping stone for him..end of imo

Still, he is our manager now and I’ll support him and his backroom staff but I  do fear the worst if I’m honest

Hopefully I’m wrong and he proves me massively wrong

Loyalty is a quality often underrated unfortunately

  4. Will no doubt get slated but don’t think he knows what he’s doing?

Substitutions against Watford were baffling as is the team today imo

Hope his backroom staff turn out to be as good as they were touted

Getting to the ground isn’t such a problem, as people arrive at different times, it’s getting away that’s the problem. It seems to me that more carriages and a safe system of queuing would go a long way to solving the problem. It’s not as though they don’t know what the attendance is and therefore a good idea of what the likely train demand will be. It’s just a lack of willingness on the part of the train service providers to find a solution.

Used to always get the train many years back when we’d sometimes have crowds of 48000 but can’t ever recall waiting 50 minutes for a train

Bumbling baffoons running the trains is the problem

I'm beginning to think some of these are joke posts at this stage... I honestly can't tell anymore. If this is a joke my apologies. If not, just to pick out one of the beyond boring points that might have seemed okay about 4 days ago; What's the plan if Gerrard leaves? Well, my guess is, and I'm going to put my head on the block here, we'll appoint someone else.

    Hopefully not in the championship…eh!

I assumed this is a joke so I wrote in comic sans for you.

Laugh! I nearly sacked my manager for an unproven one from a 2 horse league

I hope we get to a level where we have a dilemma cus he’s left to go to Liverplop…

Talking of comedy…unfortunately we’re the laughing stock

He’s pants we’re in a relegation battle or he uses us as a stepping stone

At least with Dean Smith you knew he really cared about our club and would work his socks off to get it right…there’s not many managers u can say that about

  8. It’s a massive gamble imo
He’s never managed in the Premier League
He’s gonna feck off if he is successful to Liverplop…that’s his dream job (whether we’re in Champions league or not)
    What’s r plan then?
    Don’t get the logic tbh

    I’ll still support him though

Bellingham really is a player. How he doesn’t get in over one of Rice and Phillips is silly.

Totally agree, I think he’s excellent and is a top player

Couldn’t give a S@@t that he’s an ex sha player and supporter…just appreciate good players

That’s the difference…we’re not obsessed and have some class

  10. Think Grealish leaving has put us back 12/18 months in the clubs progress plan even with the players we’ve brought in

The side was built predominantly around him and Buendia etc were bought in to complement and enhance the squad

No doubt they are excellent players in their own right but Grealish leaving was not in Deano (and the clubs) plans

Worth bearing in mind when we talk about the teams progress

With Grealish, European qualification was a minimum expectation, without him it will be a lot harder
