  1. Right just heard wm interview. Players declared thereselves fit, and the first half was as tough as hes seen.( Yet it took him till god knows what minute to make a change)

We made 9 or so changes from midweek (im not even gonna answer that)

Players have been on the treatment table all week and havent trained. (Yet he had a player in hourihane, the man who bruce chased for a whole window last year, twiddling his thumbs on bench.

To finish off "im not making excuses" a man who says that usualy is.

Get out of our club bruce you utter chancer. People go on about lambert but he was working under dire conditions. This clown has had the pick of the fruit and has still managed to turn us into one of his clogger outfits.

The equivalent of corporate sharpening of the knives is happening as we speak, I’d imagine: CEO in touch with the in-house legal team to talk about Bruce’s termination package and the finer details of his payoff. Calderwood will probably go too. Mark Delaney in as caretaker until Henry signs over the international break.

  3. This is unbelievable,  yes he hasnt been great of late but he scored 15 goals from out wide last year, we would have been nowhere near the play offs without him, what on earth are we doing loaning a player like albert to our rivals, utterly bonkers

I'm still trying to get to the bottom of "why Bruce is the man".

He's old fashioned and he's not a particularly good coach, Am I right so far?

Im sure i heard, he knows the league like the back of his hand, and is the only man to get us out of this league.

  5. Bye steve, pitiful, absolute shambolic. 1 shot on goal all game, 4 right backs on the pitch, long balls to 5.6 murphy, if you think he is still up to the job i suggest you go and get yourself checked into a clinic

I’m seeing lots of fans on Twitter saying that we should be thankful that we’re in the current situation. Over the summer, we could’ve gone into administration and gone bust, we could’ve lost our best players like Grealish, Chester and Kodjia, Bruce could have even resigned and left us in the shit.

That’s all well and good. I am thankful that the new owners have come in and saved us and we still have a team that can be competitive in the division.

But, now that all the off-field stuff has been sorted, we have to judge the manager on the recent performances given the squad we have now.

Not much has changed since last season, really. Yes, we’ve lost Terry, but if you look at the rest of the team I think we have a squad that is even better than last year.

We have a much stronger midfield with McGinn. We have Bolasie and El Ghazi offering pace and quality in wide areas. Barring any serious injury, we have Kodjia back to his best on the evidence of his Brentford performance.

Given this, promotion has to be the target and it really ought to be through the automatic spots.

If we don’t see significant improvement in performances and with it convincing victories over the next month, Bruce has to be sacked as we can’t let Leeds and Boro open up a big margin at the top of the table.

Before we know it, we’ll be settling for a playoff spot again and we all know what the outcome of that will be.

    Spot on.

Lets be honest here, has any manager ever been sacked while unbeaten in a season. He will only go when the losses come

Very true. Im just hoping the owners know what it takes to get up (wins wins and more wins) and see sense. spluttering along winning a couple, drawing a few and the odd defeat (repeat) wont get us up

  8. He steadied the ship when he came in pulled everybody together ill give him that, but we really need to kick on now. Lets be honest with ourselves whether your  bruce in or bruce out, things arent gonna suddenly change, were not gonna go out and blow teams away week in week out which is what we have to do. Im hoping the club see sense and remove him from his postion asap. Its inevitable he will be gone in 10 games time, lets give ourselves a chance and get someone with a clear vision of what has to be done with this team to get us out this league

I think he is stalling for a better offer. It doesn't take that long to decide whether to sit on the bench at Everton every week or play in the championship with Villa.

Have you seen bruces tactic board?

  10. He gives his all every game but isnt a winger and it really tells when were on the front foot. Kodjia needs all the support he can up there, and when you have a right back supporting him and a shot adohmah its just not good.

I note the criticism of the players in the match thread, but do you know what, you have to give them a fighting chance.  Have a system, have a structure and do the fundamentals well.  We have none of those things so the older players don’t stand a chance, never mind the kids.

Now listening to Bruce blame the team, for God’s sake coach them!

This club is turning into a graveyard for players, the longer they are here, the poorer they become.
