    I hate booing. I really **** hate it. I think it's ridiculous.

There are exceptions ego deserve that kind of contempt, such as Fabian Delph, but generally it makes me die a little inside every time.

There must be "booers" who are reading this now. Despite appearing like I've already made my mind up if genuinely like to know what you get from it?

Booing is rude. I wouldn't even boo Delph or a bad ref.

It takes a certain mindset to boo - those that rarely say thanks or excuse me. Someone who wouldn't think twice about cutting you up in traffic or jumping a queue.

    These types boo.

'Taking this as gospel' is an idiom, and my sentence in the brackets explained it's meaning. I wasn't stating a personal opinion that gospel's are true.

I don't think he was inferring that. It was just a humorous observation.

Tony Morley described his performance as magnificent.....

I wouldn't go that far but I think he was better than some are suggesting.

Morley is a legend. But he left part o f his brain in Rotterdam. If you know what I mean Jack. Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack....

  4. Oddly enough, I am a professional trumpet player. I've played solos on live tv to millions of people. I've played the Albert hall countless times.

Very often the more intimate (lesser) gigs are the most nerve-racking.

You shouldn't confuse adrenalin with nerves.

Where do you stand on Florence Nightingale?

Is she rumoured to be joining the board?

I have no opinion of her. All i know is that she did some nursing out in the Crimea, But my missus is a consultant anaesthetist and I know she thinks her so-called achievements are way, way exaggerated.

    ....you did ask.

I hear Mother Teresa will also be joining the board - selfish cow.

Mervyn King is a financial terrorist and I choose my words carefully. He was a large cog in the biggest theft of money the world has ever seen and gave it to his bankster mates. Don't be fooled by his cuddly exterior, the man's a word removed. If you're happy to have him on the board be my guest... not me.

Mother Teresa was no saint either.

I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere on this forum but there's rumours of Brian Little and Mervyn King joining Villa's board. What do we think of that then?

Mervyn King? What's he going to do, turn the printing press on?

The man's a bag of shite who apparently couldn't even spot the housing bubble we were in under his BOE tenure.

    No thanks.

I don't like the vitriol aimed at him currently. He's done well for us in his time and has kept us out the sticky stuff more than enough times, even after being overshadowed by friedel for too long and after we dicked him over by releasing him and then signing him back.

He has never run the club down, took the proverbial and has never just been happy to collect his salary etc...

Yes he's been poor recently, I do think he is done here and criticism is fine and recently justifiable but he doesn't deserve the dogs abuse he's been getting lately.

I'm thankful to Brad and when/if he does go I'll be wishing him luck.

You're wasting your time mate. Apparently, saving us from the drop earlier means nothing and he deserves nothing less than all the abuse than can be mustered.

Randy and co should have built a better defence in front of him when he had good form so that he didn't get his confidence shattered.

I think he now has to leave, Even if he regained some of his old form there are too many dickheads after his blood. As you say, good luck to him too.

  9. I've just reread a lot of the posts on this thread starting from about page 25. I suggest a few posters do the same. I'm not disagreeing that his slump in form has been alarming over the last year or so, but the lack of respect by some is disturbing.

He may be a contributing factor to this great club's demise this season but one thing I'm certain of is that we would have been relegated already if it weren't for his previous significant contribution.

He has ability, his head's just a mess. It happens.

What worries me is that when we go down people won't get fully behind the team when the new season starts. It's absolutely critical that we get off to a good start.

Of course we will. Every season starts with a clean slate.

It's just that the current one isn't just dirty. It's broken into tiny pieces and sitting in the bottom of a skip.

Imo a competent striker and we would have won games and garde wouldn't be getting grief. Why the club thought it was acceptable to go into a premier league season with a championship bulldozer, an erratic striker from France and 3 goals a season agbonlahor is beyond me.

    We wish.

Thing is, we didn't towards the end of his reign - that's why he was sacked.

It's ridiculous because the media keep going on about our win-less run since when Garde was appointed but actually this run stretches back to September/August (depending on whether you're counting cups). Admittedly Garde hasn't been able to improve much yet but I wouldn't say things have got worse under him.

Quite, but fans and owner alike were looking for a 'bounce' like Sherwood had. The fact that we appear to have a seamless business as usual attitude is really telling in most of our players.

My dad mentioned he hopes he's nowhere near the banner. Its cringeworthy and small time. It's almost as if people don't realise Lerner has tried to sell the club.

I can't sell my house. No one will give me the gazillion quid I demand.

    Drop the price.

  14. Iniesta is the same height and just two kilos heavier. Gil can easily gain that with maturity.

i'm not saying Carles is in the same league before anyone starts, but the PL infatuation with bulk is getting tiresome. Not every outfield player has to be built like a tank.

This isn't a personal vendetta either. I'm 6'3" and 14 stone with the turning circle of a barge.

Played 18 league games for Villa yet to be on the winning team

This shit has been seen through a million times.

    Lies and statistics.

Leicester away - 2-0 up, Gil comes off, lose 3-2.

Maybe it was his fault for coming off?
