  1. "bit of a lunge from Milner" And not from Danns!? you word removed!
  2. I am really shocked at Carew, first time I have seen him play for a while, just shocking.
  3. Carew is not the same Carew as 2 years ago, even 18 months.
  4. Maybe thats the case about Ash, but Alan Lee has been worse and he is 6 ft 4 (!?)
  5. Grant voiced his disappointment with some of the decisions made by Friend after the final whistle and was sent to the stands for his conduct at half-time. Kevin Friend seems to be making a name for himself recently.
  6. We can say Ashley Young is going down easily, but you just need to blow on Alan Lee and he falls.
  7. just had a text from a non villa fan saying the same!
  8. The ref is allowing them to push us and foul us. if we touch them he blows (i.e youngs nudge in the area)
  9. Looking towards a computer, a large man with a beard and pringles beside him sits looking depressed. Slowly he lifts his hand to his mouse. *Glaston logs off*
  10. I'd join! Still no sign of Glaston then? I guess he will be back if they win today.
  11. i heard the super adventure club is quite a closed shop for other supporters, you may find someone will have you banned if he finds you sniffing about.. Yup, I am still going though, wonder if he has sleepless nights working out who I am :-P
  12. Course it doesn't mean anything, Aaron Lennon's faster. Yeah but Lennons got more than pace, hes the best winger in the league, bar none. I'm quite suprised you're not aware of this. Cannot argue with those two replies, of course Lennon is god! ;-)
  13. and I would say the success of Carl Lewis is meaningless, the 100/200m track event has come on leaps and bounds since he ruled, so his success means monkey shit! Or lets say Tom Burk, he did 100m in 12 seconds pre 1900, so that meant nothing and means nothing now. Or Jim Hines, first man to break 10 seconds, held the record for 15 years, its meaningless because of how fast Bolt is now...
  14. I started to wonder if Glaston is the creation of a bored arsenal fan, he cannot be real can he?
  15. Quicker than he is given credit for. I would say behind Young and Agbonlahor he must be one of the next quickest.
  16. I didn't say he was slow. I said he wasn't quick enough (and lacked sufficient abilty to beat players) to make it as an especially effective winger. His being 100m schools champion means little in this respect. Speed in terms of being a winger is all about acceleration over much shorter distances, hitting top speed quickly, reaction time, anticipation and very often close ball control at top speed. Besides, I doubt that Lennon even entered the schools 100m championships. Actually Lennon was also his high school champion... Milner is faster than you are prepared to admit.
  17. Young - Milner - Petrov - Downing Downing - Milner - Petrov - Young Milner - Downing - Petrov - Young Milner - Young - Petrov - Downing Young - Downing - Petrov - Milner Downing - Milner - Petrov - Agbonlahor (Young upfront) Just a few of the different positions our players take up during the game!
  18. Doesn't it piss you off!!!! It does me! I have given up arguing it.
  19. Milner in the middle will be a very very very good player the more he gets into the role. I am happy with him wide or in the middle but the reason I like him in the middle a little more is that he seems to be able to spot other players runs and movement ahead quicker than anybody else and he also is very good at getting into the box AND at tracking back and working in front of the defence. As a winger his delivery is improving rapidly, his movement off the wing is fantastic too and he is very good at leaving players on their arse. he also tracks back brilliantly from that position. Oh and I don't think we play a conventional 442 so I cannot really argue about positions, our formation is based on movement. (its very unique imho) I would say only the back 4 have set positions.
