SHA don't have 13,500 fans though do they?
-
OS saying sold out now.
It's so difficult to get a good atmosphere going with everyone spread out the entire length of the pitch. There's always 3 or 4 different songs going on!
If you take the smaller allocation at Molineux they put you in half of the South Bank, which is their equivalent of the Holte End. Never understood that.
-
Bought some extra tickets for Chelsea at home this morning and was told there are around 800 tickets left for Stoke away!
-
There's still loads left at the ticket office...
-
If he has said this, it's ill judged because understandably some people will get upset over it.
I'm more bothered about what happens on the pitch though myself.

Gerard Houllier is yet to finalise his contract with Aston Villa and will not take charge until next week.
It is understood that the Frenchman, who agreed to take the reins on Wednesday, still has to tie up a few loose ends before his arrival can be made official.
That means he will not be in the dugout for Monday's meeting with Stoke City, as was first anticipated, but will still hold his first press conference at 2pm on Friday afternoon.
The former Liverpool boss has shaken hands on a three-year deal with Villa owner Randy Lerner and is arrival is imminent.
However, Villa supporters will have to wait until a home date with Bolton on 18th September before seeing their new coach on the touchline.
Plans
Houllier has returned to English shores six years after leaving Anfield, during which time he has taken in a two-year spell at Lyon and spent three years as the French Football Federation's national coaching director.
His absence from proceedings at the Britannia Stadium on Monday means caretaker boss Kevin MacDonald will take charge of his sixth successive game.
Houllier is set to meet with MacDonald on Friday to discuss his plans for taking the club forward.
He is looking forward to taking the hot-seat, as he spurned several other offers in order to return to the Premier League.
Interesting
Houllier said: "It was really starting to tickle me. I wanted to go back pitchside.
"I had, of course, other proposals but this one seemed to be the most interesting in terms of working conditions and environment.
"Aston Villa is not a club on the same level as Liverpool, let's be objective and honest.
"It's a club that according to me has belonged between seventh and 12th place in the Premier League.
"But, above all, it's a historic club which has won the European Cup. It's a club which has got good infrastructure and a fine team which is after one thing - to improve year on year."

There wasn't much atmosphere last year, the game was shocking. There was just wind. Whirling wind.
And throw ins, you musn't forget the throw ins.
Of course, how could I forget. Throw ins and wind.

Looking forward to seeing what he can do.
Welcome Gerard!

Cheers, just looked n one or two and see a similar post so looks like allAll Villa sites. I'm just hoping that it isn't because he knows that an appointment is still a way off or that one is around the corner that isn't going to go down too well.
The first right thing he has done / posted since during this whole situation, in my opinion.
The thing is, the second MON resigned the thread was inundated with people 'demanding answers'. If he had said nothing he would accused of hiding, bottling it etc.
Unfortunately, this very rare method of communication between a club and it's fans has been abused by some and has resulted in the General now taking time out. It's a shame, in my opinion.
-
I always thought "O'Neill's Claret n Blue Army" was better, but it didn't get adopted by the masses.
-
He might have a change of heart.I would actually be delighted now if KMac was given the job full time. Hopefully Houllier will decline the offer. That's gotta be deliberate....!
-
Apparently Thompson left Liverpool in 1984, the same year that MacDonald joined, so I'm not sure they'll know each other too well.
-
Whilst "Gerard Houllier's Claret n Blue Army" sounds a mouthful, it's the same number of syllables as the MON variation, so not a problem!
-
i'd say they are all pissing themselfs laughing, from what i have heard from other fans they think we are a joke.Wonder what the rest of the Premier League makes of this appointment?Hardly inspiring is it?
Does it bother you what other teams fans think?

We parked in the large car park behind the away end last season, plenty of room. Takes a while to get out afterwards but not really fussed about that, would rather get there in time and conveniently.

General,
Just another post to say please do not stop posting on here due to what appears to be a few (too many) emotionally unstable people who will believe anything they read in the press. I just shake my head after reading some of the stuff on this thread, I really do.
Unfortunately we're going through a rocky patch at the moment and it seems like a severe case of 'it never rains but it pours' for some.
I think it's fair to say the vast majority of our fanbase are fully aware of what Randy has done for the club and are appreciative of it.

Whats the new academy like? I just can't bring myself to go - the old smelly academy with it's sticky floors and weird smell was great, and I just think that the new one will be all shiny and characterless.
It's almost exactly the same as the last one when you're inside! Simon Neil from Biffy commented on it when saw them last time.
When I got back from the Vienna home leg last week I did some comfort gig ticket buying and booked tickets for this little lot:
Dinosaur Pileup - 10th October @ Hare & Hounds
Imogen Heap - 5th November @ Royal Albert Hall
Jimmy Eat World - 21st November @ Academy (was HMV Institute)
The Sword - 1st December @ Academy
Skin - 16th December @ Academy
Orange Goblin - 17th December @ The Asylum
Also wanna get tickets for Skunk Anansie in November and poss Band Of Horses next Feb, I think it is.
-
On the point of Randy giving MON 'too much' control - I was under the impression that this was generally held up as being a good thing, an old school way of doing things to let the football man deal with everything on the football side of the business and that DOF's just don't work in this country (although not sure why any less likely to work here than in Italy for example)?
-
We'll have no Dunne or L Young due to injury whilst Warnock and Downing will be rested according to the OS. Gabby, Cuellar and Collins to return.
So I'd go for:

Have you ever tried ripping a credit card with your own bare hands?!
-
Some of their fans were an absolute disgrace last season after the game at their place - really in our faces as we were walking along (this was lads probably in their 20s mind you - and some older Man C fans came along afterwards and had a sensible discussion with us as we walked back to the car). Man C fans used to be decent and I guess the majority still are - but there is certainly this horrid chavvy aggressive cocky element amongst the younger ones now
We had exactly the same thing, which is why I grinned when Crouchy scored for Spurs at COMS a few days later.
-
What flights you booked on? I really want to go, but it's looking pricey.

10 yellows = banned immediately for 2 games. This ban for accumulation of yellows only applies for cards picked up by second sunday in April.
15 yellows = banned immediately for 3 games. This ban for accumulation of yellows applies all season.
Red Card = banned immediately, usually for 1 game although it can be 2 games (using offensive or insulting or abusive language/gestures) or 3 games (Violent Conduct, Serious Foul Play or spitting at an opponent or any other person).
