With Petrov successfully avoiding being booked yesterday, he now doesn't need to worry about getting to 10 yellows because the cut off day is today.

Only he can get to 15 yellows in the remainder of the season, but he would have to be booked in all 6 games and even then, the ban wouldn't come into effect til next season, if at all.

Simply put, we can't have any players suspended for the rest of this season unless we get any red cards.

I got chatting to him about tomorrow's game whilst there last night. He spotted my season ticket in my wallet and asked if I was going down to Wembley (I am).

He then went on to tell me that he thinks games in this country are fixed. "Everyone knows it happens in other countries, and I think it happens here" he said.

He is adamant that the 7 - 1 was fixed so that Chelsea would catch up Man Utd's goal difference and as a result tomorrow will be fixed so that we will win. He's so adamant that he has £150 riding on a Villa win.

I always thought he was a bit of a crazy bastard....

Following consultation with the Premier League and Fulham FC, the club has been left with no alternative other than to play our reserve game against the Cottagers at 3pm on Monday, April 12, behind closed doors at Bodymoor Heath.

Having re-arranged our postponed Premier League match versus Everton for Wednesday, April 14, the club strongly expressed a desire to move this reserve fixture to a date later in the season.

But owing to our progression in the FA Youth Cup and Fulham's progression in the Europa League - on top of postponements due to bad weather earlier in the season - it has proved impossible to arrive at an alternative date acceptable to everyone concerned.

Playing the match at Hinckley United was another option which we explored but, unfortunately, the Greene King Stadium is not available.

The Premier League insisted that the fixture be fulfilled and extended special dispensation for it to be played at our training ground, a decision which the club has reluctantly accepted.

We recognise also that many supporters have followed the reserve team in action throughout the season and, in order to avoid anyone missing the action, the club will broadcast Monday's game on our website at www.avfc.co.uk. Full details will follow.

And please join us on Thursday, April 15, at Villa Park for our reserve match versus Stoke City when, hopefully, we can celebrate becoming Reserve League South Champions again!

We're not going to be able to watch us clinch the title!

Villa's reserve clash against Fulham on Monday has been moved.

The game will now take place behind closed doors at Bodymoor Heath with a 3pm kick-off.

It was originally due to take place at Villa Park at 7pm.

It will be because we want to preserve the pitch for the Everton game on Wednesday and they've probably run out of alternative dates, but it's disappointing nonetheless.

In the preview of tonight's game on the OS it says "Tickets for tonight's first leg will be available on the turnstiles, which will open at 5.45pm."

I was quite surprised at the reaction from our away following at Bolton whilst we were watching the end of their game in the concourse at the Reebok. The cheer that went up when Drogba scored was nearly as loud as when Ash scored later on in our game!

Petrov is the only player that can now get to 10 yellows before the cut off date (second Sunday in April). As long as he avoids getting booked twice in the next 3 games he won't have to serve a 2 match ban.

Villa's Young Lions will be looking for a good start in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup semi-final against Newcastle - and you can play your part by buying tickets for the Villa Park clash ONLINE.

Tickets for the game on Thursday April 8 - ko 7pm - will be available to purchase from our online ticket office ONLY next week.

Admission is £3 (adults) and £1 (under-16s and over-65s).

Villa made it through to the last four of the competition with a remarkable penalty shoot-out win over Fulham.

Trailing 2-1 in extra-time having already battled back from a goal down in the regulation 90 minutes, Daniel Devine bundled home an equaliser in the dying seconds to take the tie to spot-kicks.

After some Devine inspiration in open play, goalkeeper Calum Barrett took a leaf out of Brad Guzan's book with two penalty saves as Villa won the shoot-out.

If they can now make it past Newcastle, they would face Chelsea in the final.

Forgetting for a moment that the game is being played at Wembley, are you not looking forward to the fact it's an FA Cup Semi Final? Or is the venue that much of an issue?

I have to say I'm surprised by some of the responses here, it's an FA Cup Semi Final for crying out loud!!!

5 yellows = banned immediately for 1 game. This ban for accumulation of yellows only applies for cards picked up by 31st December.

10 yellows = banned immediately for 2 games. This ban for accumulation of yellows only applies for cards picked up by second sunday in April.

15 yellows = banned immediately for 3 games. This ban for accumulation of yellows applies all season.

Red Card = banned immediately, usually for 1 game although it can be 2 games (using offensive or insulting or abusive language/gestures) or 3 games (Violent Conduct, Serious Foul Play or spitting at an opponent or any other person). All these bans are increased by 1 further game if it is a second red within one season, or by two extra games if it is a third red etc.

Sent off for 2 yellows = a red card and you are banned accordingly. These yellows do NOT count for accumulation of yellows purposes.

We paid £38 which, granted, is only a fiver less than what we're charging them, but even that is ridiculous for a football match.

The dates have been confirmed for Villa's FA Youth Cup semi-final games against Newcastle United.

Tony McAndrew's team will be back at Villa Park for the first leg on Thursday April 8 (ko 7pm).

The second leg takes place on Friday April 16 at St James' Park (ko 7pm).
