How could you build behind the Trinity? Probably easier to get a CPO on the Witton Lane side than consent to build in the park.

Rudimentary sketch of the amount of parkland required … you’d need to cpo a bunch of houses to negate right to light issues also.

It's remote you'd get any portion of the historic park delisted also

You wouldn’t be encroaching into the park by more than 20sq metres … Relocate any trees which would be in the way, contribute to improvements to the park and I’m sure the council would oblige.

Probably a no go but couldn’t we join up the bottom tier to the middle tier by filling in the walkway and adding additional rows/seats?  Basically making one large lower tier. Does the walkway have to remain for health and safety reasons?

If you look at the plans for redevelopment of the north stand, the corner which was adjoin it didn’t have the walkway and had an additional 6 rows of seats in comparison to the rest of the lower tier. Certain sections would need to be retained for disabled fans but not the whole length.

It was built by a cheap arse. It won't have capacity to add more weight.

It would’nt need to carry any more weight as with the new main stand at Anfield the additional tier and new roof would be constructed behind then joined to the stand once the old roof was removed. No need to reduce capacity whilst the work was going on.

I think it’s a more realistic solution long term than moving grounds to get Villa park to over 60k

you would think we could find a way forward where we are.

Only way to do it is to purchase houses to enlarge  the site and remove the right to light obstacle … A 19/20k trinity Road Stand, with a new North Stand of 14k+ takes us to 57/58k before the Witton is looked at which you’d expect to take us to 62-64k seater stadium - 4 separate stand identities. It’s gunna mean moving people from their homes .

Could the Trinity take another tier if the roof was raised? Even a small one? Always felt it has a small capacity for such a large structure- corporate aside. Holte has more seats like and it is an end stand.

Both the SAF stand at OT and the Main Stand at Anfield would tower over the current Trinity stand. An extension to it wouldn’t encroach massively on the parkland but houses would need to be demolished. You would make the current 2nd tier a bit smaller then add a 3rd tier above. It would easier to build and extend behind it than the Witton.

  7. It could be easier is many respects to enlarge the main Trinity Road stand which’s current capacity is just under 13’000 compared to the main stand at Anfield is just over 20’000.

it would involve the need to purchase a small section of the park and again buy houses, for circulation and negate right to light issues.

your are suggesting defenders and midfielders who can't defend.

The lads at the club are looking at the data in massive detail in conjunction with the teams data and what it's missing. However be serious the basic stats are so bad it isn't even worth looking in any detail.

What do you make of Morgan Rogers and his fbref stats specifically his possession and passing stats ?

FBref has a professional version of it, the free is just the basic. If you think someone goes from bottom 5% to something decent on a different software package.......ok

Prove that they don’t … again why employ data analysts and scouts and expensive bespoke software systems when then just log into fbref ? I mean it’s a great guide for some things for the arm chair fan but if can it be relied upon to judge a player - how does that team set up and what is the ethos of the team, what does the manager expect from the player in that position, does the player show he can improve or play in a different manner, strength of opposition and league in general, how does he perform with his international team in comparison - where’s that in your bible? Data alone is useless without context

  10. Dream summer of unrealistic targets list time me feels.

    • Ferdi Kadıoğlu is rumoured already agreed (think it’s BS) LB . €30mill
    • Raoul Bellanova RB €18-20mill
    • Georgiy Sudakov €40mill +
    • Martin Zubimendi €40mill +

sell Moreno/Digne, Cash and the deadwood, then also whoever Monchi / Emery decide can be sacrificed if needs be for the greater good (ie Ramsey, Luiz) … I’d try and extend Zaniolo’s loan if poss for another season and add the return of Mings & Buendia and we’ve raised the quality of the first team and squad.

Following the survey by the company they brought in, the club have a plan for a major revamp of the hospitality areas - which I would hope they'll share at some point.

Will the halfway lounge still get built I wonder ? Have you heard what’s planned ? I was told they’re going to get rid of most of the private boxes and make them into larger lounges and the remaining boxes will be pitched at big international firms. Same person said he’d been told that this would allow extra rows to be added  to the upper tier as you’re not allowed to drink alcohol with a view of the pitch when the game is on. Then it doesn’t matter as much a slightly restricted view of the pitch from the lounges as you’d watch the game from a seat and not the box.

This thread is entertaining… I see lots of posters are rattled about the lot down the road and their new 60000 stadium.

*62 thousand seat spaceship designed stadium

The club have said “we are not moving” and the club have said “we are looking at the possibility of adding 3000 seats

If you can’t see the difference between those two things then I can’t help you

What is your problem ? It’s in the phase two plans we are going to add 3000 seats and if  you read what I’ve posted I was agreeing with you earlier FFS. They have said we aren’t moving and we will add 3000 extra seats but some don’t / won’t believe either statement. But i guess from your posts that you are a linguistic and semantics expert into the exact meaning of words as well and how they are meant and to be interpreted. Thank you for the enlightenment

“We’re looking at” is not remotely the same as categorically stating we’re not leaving villa park

I meant the club have said we aren’t moving and also said we are going to add 3000 extra seats - it’s in the phase two plans. Yet some fans don’t believe it is something we are looking to do.

There's an informal meeting scheduled for next week with the FAB - shall we ask?

They wouldn’t say yes even if they were thinking about it imo. Not until all avenues were explored and final decision made. I think the better question would be why are we staying at Villa park with its restrictions when building a new stadium next door / in town where they would grow revenues.

  16. 3 minutes ago, OutByEaster? said:

    Have they?

As much as they aren’t leaving Villa park yes … Phase two of the original proposals saw capacity increase to 53’000. Heck has said we’re looking at reconfiguring the bowl to increase capacity…

Their statement was as clear as you can get. What else could they have said to be any clearer than this?

You guys are verging on conspiracy theory stuff

I’m in agreement with you but for balance it would be massively counter productive and expensive to come out and say yeah we wanna move stadium and we’re looking for land openly. That’s 20,30,40% increase in asking price right there. We may be quietly doing due diligence, negotiating for land, and working on feasibility studies and designs so all options are thoroughly explored.
