Ian Taylor & Mervyn King joining the board ⚠️

Let's hope after his initial talking to the press he then returns to the shadows and lets his actions speak rather than be like the porno dwarves.

What a lol of crock that is.. Always passing the buck at avfc..
Also 3rd highest spender in ten years? I'd be very surprised if that's accurate...Off the top of my head, Liverpool, utd and city have easily spunkef £300m in the last 5 yrs. Then throw in the likes of Chelsea and Spurs (who spent the entire £90m from bale in one summer).
If you bother to read the quote he says we are top six " owners PUTTING money in"
Spurs, Citeh, plop, man Utd, Le Arse all generate their expenditure. We don't. Simples.
QuoteHollis pointed out that the club were "in the top six where the owner has put the most money in", in a league including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham.
"Randy has actually put more than £200m in player signings, new money, coming into this over the last 10 years," added Hollis.

Club don't say anything, get criticised. Club has fans meeting, gets criticised. Fans want honesty, club give them honesty but get criticised. Fans don't hear what they want. Club get criticised. Club lies to fans, gets criticised. Club try to tell truth, gets criticised. Fox admits mistakes have been made. Gets criticised. Fans want Lerner far away from decisions. New guy gets criticised. Club up for sale...... See where I'm going?
Club deserves a certain level of criticism for sure. Mistakes have been made in abundance. But plans to put things right which should of been implemented sooner. You guessed it get criticised.... Jeez I'm taking a break from here.

Crespo left on loan to Rayo vallacano today apparently.

Given our position and the fact we have lost cover in Illori and crespo not sure we are in a position to turn our noses up at a free-Vidic.
Also not comparing them but Gods knees were shot and he was/is a legend. Just saying.

You do realise form can change don't you it's not set in stone. Odds are against it but you never know.
Why are you so against posters who have and show a little faith? Almost mocking them for it. We get your point of view which you are entitled to. I respect your position but jeez every day every thread it seems.
We have been poor for a vast amount of the last couple of seasons and the rot is plain to see. I'm fully aware and prepared for the fact we are likely to go down however until it's mathematically impossible to stay up I fully believe we will stay up. And I am fully behind the players and club 100% and will continue to be regardless.
Cue the same posters shooting me down for daring to be positive.
Ive actually given my season ticket away cause I'm sick of the constant moaning and negativity that surrounded me and I will be watching games from the executive areas just so I can enjoy (the shit on show ) I mean games from now on.

If we manage to sign Debuchy, Sane, Ramos and Inler on loan. And sign Kalinic
A. Can we stay up
B. Loan Januzaj

It is true. We were relegated in '87 after a couple of years of struggle (if that), then we bounced straight back and have been here ever since. Sure we had the occasional bad season under Ellis in the years that followed but nothing like the 6 seasons of hellish relegation battles and the humiliations that have come with them since from Lerner.
This isn't me making things up, this is how it happened. For all his faults Ellis didn't abandon the club like Lerner has done. It's criminal sabotage in my book. Shame on Lerner.
Criminal sabotage ? What like tearing down the old Trinity Road stand rather than sympathetically restoring, letting the Holte hotel fall into a state of such disrepair. Refusing to pay for a pitch so we ended up playing on painted sand? Lerner has neglected us yes but I'd say your statement is a tad OTT referring to criminal sabotage.
You say at at least Doug didnt abandon the club, yet he let it fall by the wayside financially (as has Lerner) but answer me this...How much money did Doug put into the club Vs take out ?
His much has Lerner put in to taken out?
Occasional bad season ? We were shite under both and have been good under both. Different eras and timescales. We did win x2 cup finals under Doug but over an ownership period over twice as long.
Both are bad for differing reasons. No revisionism required. It's not a case of one being good one being bad. Both have been bad for the club and have also done good.
Lerner has tried and failed and is trying to find someone to take us forward. Can't ask for much more to be (realistically) honest.

If results go our way today and we win we will be 5 points from safety. Get a couple of loan players in next week on the back of it and hope returns.

Gutted all this didn't happen in the summer ! If little comes onboard I'm sure some peeps will find something to complain about, even though he is one of those mythical football people.
Make it happen Randy ! Plus a striker please.

Good shout regarding Houlilier. Shame he had to go due to insurance reasons. I wonder where we would be nice if he stayed. Tbh I really couldn't care who the chairman is as long as he is quiet & efficient. Thats all I expect.

WATCH: Aston Villa's new chairman revealed as a takeover expert......
QuoteOne area of Hollis' business background is of particular interest to our business editor with the club up for sale. See the video above.
Positive sign unless he encourages Steve smith Tony Adams and a F%^* ton of bank debt.
And there was TBAR claiming it would be Dein.

Gutting to see that Byram is in talks apparently with Everton-£3mill plus add ons. Good long term RB option. Also see Swansea linked with Roma's Seydou Doumbia, cheeky loan bid surely worth a try. Just returned from a loan spell at CSKA . Would of been nice to get someone in this week to build on our 2nd win of the season. Still time.

Any excuse? Have you watched us or looked at a league table. It's hardly any excuse.
Amavi and Veretout have looked good at times and looked way off the required level at times.
Ayew has been excellent. The rest have all played their part in what looks like a club record breaking relegation.
Virtually every post of yours you make a dig at the club. You could of just said something along the lines of weird signing etc etc but no you had to add a dig at the so called transfer committee.
Crespo was a weird one but he added squad depth for 500k. Good luck to him!

He was awful against Stoke. I can't imagine he's going to add anything to us.
Another transfer committee classic.
Name other transfer committee classics then ? And this the same transfer committee who signed Amavi Veretout & Ayew. Ilori was a mistake yes but this guy cost what £500'000.
But yep any excuse to have a dig.

I thought we were on a tight budget?
Says here were looking to by a Ferrari!
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/14/report-aston-villa-line-up-23m-bid-for-gianmarco-ferrari/
"Aston Villa line up £2.3m bid for Gianmarco Ferrari."
Buying Ferrari's wouldn't be a bad call by the the club tbf. Purchase a couple of La'Ferrari's at £1.2 mill a pop and sell them in 2/3 years for £3mill+ each. Easy guaranteed investment if you have the $$$.

Get him signed up to a new contract ASAP please mr fox.

Good back up squad option IMO and I feel sorry he has had to carry the burden of replacing Benteke as he simply isn't good enough to be the main man.
But he gives us the ability to change play up a bit from the bench or to start him against the right opposition with the right players around him (wingers!)
I think he is a useful player to have around. But as a number 3 striker behind Ayew and (an)other.
-
Byram & Mowatt from Leeds Henry & Bradshaw from Walsall. Kramaric (loan) or some other striker on loan. Plus a frenchie. Sorted ???
-
So the mirror report something negative and apparently it's gospel. Even though time and time again the uk press are shown to know eff all what goes on at villa. But because it's negative it is taken as fact.
Any excuse to have a pop even without substance by some.

What the actual **** just shut the **** up already !!!
Though I guess some fans wanted the club to communicate with us and he is regularly..... You now have what you wished for-enjoy
Oh but he is not saying what I want to hear. Cue you guessed it . Club gets criticised.
