  1. We would be lucky to get £5 million a season at a push for naming rights, West Ham are looking at only £6million per season for the Olympic stadium

The London Legacy Development Corporation is close to concluding a deal worth around £6 million a year – £1m of which will go to West Ham – with the Mahindra Group, a technology giant and car maker

Just wildly speculating but I wonder if the potential new Chinese owners would consider buying out the under armour deal and replacing it with Chinese manufacturer Li-Ning. Not for the up coming season but the season after. Doubt UA would care about losing us and it would provide the Chinese brand an international audience. As I said just bored and speculating.

I think that it's without doubt, that Jesus existed. Whether or not he did all the things that are Claimed in the bible is debatable ;)

Based on a book written by a committee 300 plus years after. OK ?! But that's for another thread.

so back to our potential Chinese takeaway. The euphoria soon gets placed with trepidation.

How is the Ellison link phantom? It's been bandied around quite a bit recently.

Jesus has been talked about for 2000 odd years doesn't mean he existed. Fantasy thinking and click bait IMO

  6. Depends on our new potential owners and their wealth and ambition. If what Hollis said is true about the potential new owners ambitions then I'd wouldn't dismiss Rodgers completely.

Worth  a punt @ 50-1 on William hill that's for sure. Just put money £50 down on him so watch his odds tumble!

  7. So much can change so quickly in football.  Can't see Rodgers having too many options this summer. Swansea seems closed off. Everton won't go near him. Poss Southampton if koeman is tempted away. Celtic ? Or the chance of rebuilding Villa in our new golden era ;) . He seems to tick most boxes for me.

  8. I see Rodgers is being linked with WBA. Surely with new owners and with even being in the championship we are a bigger draw. He got Swansea promoted playing attractive attacking football. Did ok at Pool. And I believe he could get the best out of  out attacking talent.

  9. Rodgers it seems isn't getting the Swansea job, I wonder if his ego would drop down a league if our new owner is a gazzilionaire? Would prefer him to Pearson, McCarthy, Bruce, Hughton etc by a country mile. Hard choice between him and Moyes in my eyes though.

  10. I personally hope they deviate from the standard claret body blue sleeves for a season and we get something like the new Spurs home shirt. Could someone with skillz poss do mock up ?

Yes, all done. Mystery owner to parachute in at half time to NUFC game.

It's Larry isn't it ;) he is going to eject from his mig over villa park using an oracle sail as his parachute.

Letters have already gone out asking for voluntary redundancies I believe and there's dates then for compulsory. Unfortunately we carry too many permanent staff so we do need a cull. I doubt match day staff will be affected much unless attendances drop loads which I doubt.

What you mean other than the upper trinity being closed ?!

But depending how the summer pans out I can maybe see the average staying static tbf.

    Wait wait, we've watched who?

    Roofe or Bowery?

Haha Roofe ! Not sure if he is actually any good to be perfectly honest, its hard to judge at that level. He may look bling from his Instagram but he is very humble & hard working lad.

Whilst we're looking at Kemar Roofe, perhaps we could check out Oxford's striker, Jordan Bowery?  He's also doing well in League Two :detect:

I can confirm (I work for Oxford Utd) that we have watched him & another player from Oxford a young winger (very raw but with potential) called Callum O'Dowda !

Am I right in thinking we'd still have to pay a tribunal fee for those guys?

Not that it should be a huge obstacle (if we get a new owner)

Both are Carroll & Powell are 23 so I think we wouldn't have to pay anything. Bentley is 22 so we would have to pay something at a tribunal, but as he is from league one Southend it won't be much.

  16. Gutted we went after Gestede rather than Andre Gray last summer. I'd look at Tom Bradshaw &/or Zach Clough for a start. Rico Henry & Daniel Bentley. Cheap(ish) squad fillers. Then let's see how our new owners are for $$$ and speculate wildly from there.

    Cheers.

Surely if he knew something, Andy Gray would be breaking the news and getting the credit.

But he is just hinting on Twitter which is different to potentially derailing the deal by going public on an international TV channel.
