    Bubbles burst!

In terms of finishing Big John had a mare. However, on another occasion, given the same opportunities he could bag a hatful. Albrightons ability to beat his full back & put the ball on the money from either flank bodes well for the future. Ciaran Clark was awesome & Stewart Downing showed a sweet left foot. All in all this was a magnificent team performance but tougher tests lie ahead.
  2. Mystery Man who is the next Mystery Man in the Villa Park hotseat? Spill the beans please!
  3. Kevin McDonald says he wants to "think about it! " & " I'll see how I feel about it in the morning after studying the video of todays match. Perhaps I'm more suited to coaching." Two things here. First if some one was to offer you the Villa job what on earth is there to think about! Second, if you feel your better suited to Coaching then your absolutely right! Not being funny, but if you can't stand the heat, better not get in the kitchen, especially if we the fans are the ones who are gonna get burnt.
  4. I'm backing Chris Nicholls Toe. Just think, we only need to get within 40 Yards of the opposition's box & then wham. We'll be bloody unstopable. "Chris Nicholls Toes Claret & Blue Army"
  5. Great to see that Ciaran's magnificent performance today has not been over looked by many fans today due to the brilliance of Albrighton's display. I know many fans are comparing Ciaran to the young Gareth Barry but for me, certainly judging him on his 2 immense performances against Fulham last season & West Ham today he is surely more like (whisper it) Paul McGrath (God) Yes I know that's some statement but in both matches he has been superb. Not just first to the ball, but sometimes YARDS first to the ball. He made Cole look like a mug. His reading of the game & positional sense shows a real footballing brain ticking overtime. Did he misplace a pass today! If so I can't remember one & oh what composure on the ball. Also unlike Barry this boy has mobility. All that said I want to see how he performs when we play away from home & serious questions are being asked of our defence. In truth Fulham & West Ham offered little in both games. The real acid tests will be against the Premiership elite but certainly from what I have seen so far this kid has a bright future & as some one stated earlier he could well go on to Captain England. I'll drink to that.
  6. Ranieri is a sound guy & I see where you're coming from on this one but he ain't big enough for "The Villa" Only the best is good enough!
  7. I've seen the groundsman play. He's better than any shit they've seen at the sty in over 135 years!
  8. The bookies have closed the books because Mike Bassett is nailed on at 7/4. It's all over SSN. The Daily Mirror has the exclusive.
  9. I think it was to do with drinking too much Champagne!!
  10. Good shout Quisme. I have a lot of admiration for Martinez & he knows all the really good players in both Europe & Central America. I would certainly add him to the list of proper candidates & as you say he plays good open attractive & exciting football. Definitely worth a shot.
  11. The most important factor is that we get the right man FIRST TIME OF ASKING. Problem with Sven is that he has too many World wide contacts & a bloody good agent in Athole still who gets a 10% cut every time Sven moves on which isn't very long. We need to make sure that the new Manager is as committed to the Club in the same way as all our loyal fans. Bottom line is JUST GET IT RIGHT.
  12. Just to reiterate Bradley is no fool. Be honest every one, England should have slaughtered the USA in South Africa but we played like mugs, Bradley has to take some credit for that. I do not dispute that most villa fans would not be off their eyebrows with Bradley's appointment but he is far better than people think. Arsene Wenger & Jose Mourinho had no Premiership experience & look what they achieved. It might be a good idea to at least keep an open mind. He would not be my first choice admittedly, but he is certainly a lot better than some of real no hopers & losers that I have seen linked with the job like Bilic, Ericcson, Zola etc etc. Villa are a massive Club & we deserve & demand only THE BEST.
  13. Here's my top 7 1 Magath 2 Magath 3 Magath 4 Magath 5 Magath 6 Magath 7 That Felix Fellah! Seriously though I would go Magath, Hiddink, Klinsmann & YES Bob Bradley. Any body else that has so far been linked with the job is a TOTAL MUPPET!
  14. It's got to be Magath. Let's all chant his name from the Villa Park roof tops this saturday v West Ham. WILKOMMEN HERR FELIX!
  15. "Ooh Aah, get Magath I said Ooh Aah get Magath!"
  16. Bob Bradley is a shrewd cookie. He was the coach who sussed out Rooney at the World Cup & laid down a blueprint for all the other Countries for how to stop him. Don't underestimate him he is no fool. That said I would still prefer Magath.
  17. Bradley would be an inspired choice. In American sport 2nd is nowhere. It may take him a while to get used to the English environment but I'm sure he would bring that ultimate American winning mentality with him. I wouldn't be spitting my dummy out of the pram if he was appointed. USA! USA!
  18. Reality!..........When is Mike Bassett going to be unveled? I'm sooooooo excited. Will you be at the press conference?
  19. It would be hilarious to see them both turn up at the same dole office. P45's all round!
  20. I would like to see McLeish resign from the darkside, apply for the ultimate job & Randy to turn round & say: `F*** You`
