  1. I'm not looking forward to renewal when i've got to disclose the three point on my licence for speeding.

Won't make a jot of difference

Trust me, having Taxi insurance and having had 3 points for speeding on a couple of occaisions, I'd notice any difference more than most. Three points for speeding does not impact on your premium. In fact I know this for a fact because I had to declare them theyear before last and I was going on holiday around renewal time and I wanted to sort it out early. I went to the brokers and they had the quote from my current insurers there already, I told them about the three points, lady in the office said she very much doubted it would make any difference but they'd have to inform the company about them but not to worry as the price would stay the same. She was right, it didn't change a single penny

As an aside, this may also be another nail in the governments arguement about people going over the speed limit being scum of the earth, if the insurance companies thought that people with speeding points posed anything like an increased risk, they hit you for the extra cash straight away

It is amazing though how many people think that their insurance will rocket when they get their first three pointer for speeding

Thats good news. I've always been under the impression they'd use it as the perfect excuse to increase your renewal premiums.

I think we do it via a broker, Express Insurance they're called. They do all the leg work etc and come back to you with the best deal. This years cheapest was with a company called Equity Red Star, never heard of them prior to las renewal.

Funny how the big insurance companies never come up as the cheapest, like your Direct Lines, Norwich Unions etc.

  2. Nearly £900. Not even my policy. The car (Renault Clio) owned by my old man, i'm a named driver.

I'm not looking forward to renewal when i've got to disclose the three point on my licence for speeding. And when i eventually buy the car off my dad, i'll have to take the plunge and go on my own policy.

  3. Viva La Vida - the new Coldplay album. Impressed so far.

I've listened to the album a few times now and think it's shit. But I'm biased as I hate Chris Martin with a passion.

    Strawberry Wine - Ryan Adams

Regardless of what i think of Chris Martin, Coldplay do make good music in my opinion. Very good album.

  4. Relegation places sorted for next season already. West Brom, Stoke and Hull.

    :D

One of them will stay up imo, could well be Stoke...

No chance in my opinion. The only team of the three that have been promoted to have a chance of surviving are the Baggies, and even they'll need to spend a lot of money.

Stoke and Hull just won't have the funds. Both need to invest quite heavily really, but they won't have the money. The gulf between the Championship and Premiership is massive! Then you've got the issue of attracting the quality of player they need to stay up, and they just can't do it. It's just so difficult from teams that make the jump. Do they take the gamble and throw money about, or not. It goes wrong and they'll be left in a mess. Thats why the Baggies are such a yoyo club, they never spend big when they get promoted, meaning they'll always get relegated, but always be well placed to return at the first time of asking because they manage to keep their players together who may not make the cut in the Prem, but do a good job in the Championship. It's a tough call.

  5. come penalty #5 (The order is decided before hand apparently)

no its not. penalty takers can be changed at any given time during the shoot out

Either way, doesn't matter. He wanted to grab the glory, fair enough, but had Anelka been confident enough, i don't reckon JT would have taken the spot kick. Anelka wasdn't used until sudden death, so thats shows how cofident he was.

Shows a lot of bottle to do what he did, make of break penner in the Champions League Final. Fair play to him i say. Got up and took it whilst the likes of Anelka and Essien, those you'd say would be in front of him in the penalty taking, sat back and watched.

  6. I thought it was a fabulous advert for the Premier League.

exce[t the constant harranging of the official sby chelsea, they never learnt from the Spuds game, next season the refs have to stamp that out

Depends on how you look at it Ian.

Was the game entertaining? Yes. Was the game exciting? Yes. Thats a good advert for the division in my eyes.

Manchester United players were just as guilty, don't know why you've just singled out Chelsea players. Both as bad as one another. The diving towards the end was a **** joke.

  7. I think it was pretty even. Man U had them for toast in the first half, and were very unlucky to go in level.

Chelsea really pushed on at the start of the second half, but it became even again in the last 15 mins when Man U switched their system a bit.

So I'd say Man U just edged it. And even more so because I think they play the better football.

Man Utd switched to match Chelsea's system in the second because they were getting overrun.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, Chelsea deserved to win that for me, no question.

That was exactly my point. Chelsea really overran Man U for about half an hour of the second half, with the last 15 minutes being pretty even. The first half Man U absolutely killed them.

I make that Man U's game by a whisker.

Disagree. Entire second half and most of ET was Chelsea's for me. Man Utd got the first.

If you ask me, had Chelsea had a miore willing forward up top instead of Drogba, things would have been made that little bit easier, lazy bastard.

  8. I wonder what will happen at Stamford Bridge in the summer. Fire sale anyone?

I'd like to buy some fire, how much is it?

I just know in the run up to the penalty Terry was thinking of lifting the trophy and that makes his miss sooooo sweet, if he really wanted to take a pen for the team he would have taken the first, not the one to win!

    Cocky thug!

I'd say it shows bottle more than anything. Going up to take a make or break penalty ahead of the Essien, Anelka etc etc.

    Fair play to him.

Said he wasn't going to take one as the last time he took one, he missed & his mum had a heart attack.

    Exactly.. he wanted the glory.

He's referring to Essien, not JT.

  11. Chelsea are very unlucky. Over the course of tonight they deserved to win the tie for me, they were the better side.

The game was really entertaining which makes a change, bit of a shame it decended into a diving match towards the end.

Drogba's a prize prat aswell, his attitude **** stinks, and to be honest, i think Chelsea are better off without him. His unwillingness to put in the hard yards tonight didn't help their cause, lazy ****.

On a good note, Ronnie looked like a prick when he missed his spot kick.

  12. According to Tom Ross, we've got the scum to thanks for our Intertoto spot, despite the fact, had Rover won, we'd still have got it anyway thanks to our goal difference. Prick.

If Rovers won they would have been on 61 points, one more point than we would have.

I thought we were 2 points ahead prior to kick off today, we got a point, three ahead. They win, three points, leaving us level, we win on goal difference?

EDIT: Just checked, you're right mate. Tom Ross is still a prick.

    :D
