  1. How can you possibly say it's a fluke when he's only played one season in the Premiership? Fair enough had he been he for two years, hammered loads in first season, but nothing the next, fair enough, but it's impossible to say that now.I don't care what he did at Bayern Munich, it's what he's done here in the Premiership that counts now, and he did a brilliant job for Rovers last season. Imagine what he could do with improved service?

In that vein you could also say Ashton is a one season wonder aswell.

He hasn't spent enough time playing top level football to prove himself.

    Yea, whatever.

He did a brilliant job last season for Rovers. Not many South America players come to the Premiership and make the impact he has and as quickly as he has. He settled and scored goals. He'd also be a better partner for John Carew if you ask me. JC and Dean Aston are too similar. Someone like Santa Cruz would be ideal. Good finisher, bit of flair, plenty of pace.

Erm, I was agreeing with you there matey. :) RSC would be the much better option IMHO

I know, i saw after i posted. Thats why I edited and added the wink thingy.

    Sorry mate.

  3. Ashton by a distance, Sanat Cruz has so far done it for one fluke season in his whole career, every season Ashton has played he has done it

with the supply from young and hopefully a new RM he would score loads

  4. I cannot believe 50 people would be happy for him to stay!

I would like to ask those people what he needs to do for them to say No!

What he needs to do to make me having the same opinion as you? Well, he can start with being a bad player. That would make me happy to see him leave. So far he's failed to be that bad player so I'll keep my opinion about being happy with him staying.

What about the fact he doesn't want to play for us anymore? Don't you think we'd be better off concentrating on players that want to play and be part of the clubs future?

Not to mention the fact he lied about Martin O'Neill doing very little to try and persuade him to stay at Villa Park as he was too busy working for the BBC at the Euro's, when his mind was already made up anyway, so nothing O'Neill could have said, would have changed anything!

He's a good player, but too much has been said now, he's not needed. He trains with the kids for me, give him plenty of time to reflect on his piss poor behaviour this summer.

  5. Ashton.

Santa Cruz is a 1 season wonder.

Also if we then got David Villa next season we could have the Ashton Villa strike force!

How do you know that? He's only been in the Premiership one season? And based on his showing last year with Rovers, more is to come!

  6. No.

    He moves, great.

If not, he plays with the kids. He doesn't want to play for us and we need to concentrate on those that want to play for this football club.

Although i wouldn't boo him if he were to represent us again, i wouldn't cheer him either. No doubt plenty would welcome him with open arms and give him another undeserved hero's reception like the one he got against Odense. Embarrassing.

  7. total bollocks, no proper source a blog more like

be worse than selling him to Liverplop

Can't say i'm bothered anymore, whats important is that we get the right price, 15m+.

Their money is just as good as Liverpool's. Berbatov and Keane look to be heading towards the exit door, freeing up funds for Ramos to spend again. I just want him off the books now, i've had enough of this whole saga hanging over us.

  8. I certainly wouldn't say more than capable! maybe scrape it through the playoffs if they're lucky!

Looks at the Championship line-up for next year, they've got the best side by some distance if you ask me, on paper. And yes i know you win nothing on paper, but i fully expect them to get up automatically, if not win the league.

They've managed to hang onto their prized asset in Seb Larsson too, good player. Taylor is still a good keeper, Stephen Kelly at right-back, Ridgers, Carsley, Bent and O'Connor upfront, and lets not forget Jerome Thomas. All good Championship players. I don't like saying it, but they'll be back sooner rather than later.

  9. I think they'll get at least the play offs.

The likes of Maik Taylor, Stephen Kelly, Liam Ridgewell, Sebastian Larsson, Garry O'Connor, Cameron Jerome, Gary McSheffrey, James McFadden and Lee Carsley, can't quite cut it in the Premiership, but more than good enough for the Championship. They've managed to keep most of their side together, so i reckon they'll do well.

They've also got that Sone Aluko, supposed to be good, England U21.

  10. £550 drive an Audi A6 04 reg, six penalty points and 4 years no claims

Nice car. Audi's are really nice cars, i'd love to own one, especially one of the RS range. Bet one of those would be pricey though!

What did you get your points for if you don't mind me asking? Speeding?
