I’m thinking that, far from appealing Kamara’s red card, we will likely be defending a charge of failing to control our players.

Watched it a few times and can't see how Kamara gets red out of everyone involved
Because he put his hand on the face of a Brentford player and I think that is just an automatic red card.

Over the past two seasons we almost certainly wouldn’t have come back from 1-0 down against an obstinate team like Brentford, even against 10 men, since we were never very good at capitalising on those situations. The fact we came back to win is a tribute to the improvements in squad strength and focus that have come with Emery.
People are saying we were poor but we were significantly below strength today in a key area of the field without Luiz and Tielemans, plus we have played 26 games this season as opposed to Brentford’s 19, and our squad is understandably starting to show the strain. So I think we did bloody well to come back and hold on. Shows we have a lot of resilience, not always a key characteristic in the past.
Having said that, the scenes at the end were shocking, disgraceful and stupid. Watkins’s celebration was ill-judged, however much abuse he was taking, and Martinez and Kamara should know better than to be sucked into pointless brawling. I suspect there may be further punishment for the club from the Premier League and it’s a good chance the Club will discipline one or two players.
The last thing we need just at the moment is to be losing players to stupid red cards.

Seeing his explanation of the celebration, my mind went back to Cantona at Selhurst Park.
Lucky for that Brentford fan (and us) that Ollie chose a less direct response.

Most of the time I love his antics - but he got Kamara sent off today with all that nonsense. Has to know when to pipe down and just let one go. As it stands we've lost Kamara for 3 games, and it wouldn't shock me if there is more punishment to come when they review the game for himself.
I sort of think Kamara got himself sent off!

I can’t bear this - how much longer?

This looks like a historic failure to understand that Emery wants to win the champions league not the conference. When push comes to shove the Europa and the FA Cup will both be dropped…but only if they have to be.
That would also look like a historic failure to understand that we cannot win the Champions League this season because we are not in it!

Ajax and Frankfurt are miles above what we faced tonight.
If we're still in the raffle for a Champs League place come March, doubt if Unai will use this as other than opportunity to give minutes to fringe players.
What would be the point ?
This looks like a historic failure to understand what makes Emery tick. He likes to win, particularly European trophies.

So we just gonna leave their name misspelled in the topic title?

At least we got a bit of excitement in the end but I would rather it wasn’t about whether we would concede a second!
However, job done - not the best performance ever but we did enough to win the group & skip the knockout round so see you in the round of 16.
Scratching my head a bit over MOTM - between Douglas Luiz and Torres. Maybe Zaniolo cos he actually scored at last?

BTW there is some cracking cricket being played in the England West indies T20. I may stick with that…

Is that right?
I thought if points are level it goes on the head to head scores first?
Head to head scores with Legia are equal so I think then it goes to GD achieved against the whole group..

Heck, this is boring. Zrinjski just want to defend in depth and sneak a breakaway goal. We can’t unpick them. Diaby and Zaniolo should ne the ones to do it but they have both been well below par.
A repeat of this in the second half would be enough to win then group of course but I might be tempted to open a can of paint and watch it dry rather than stick with the football.

I wonder if he's just not mobile enough to play in our defensive line. Or just hasn't bought into Emeryball.
Decently strong side. The drop off from first choice just isn't so much of a thing these days (famous last words...)
He’s done well in previous conference matches I think. More inclined to the injury narrative

Must say I rather enjoyed Wrighty’s sulkfest.
Remember, he was the first to call, out our ‘high line’ - “they will lose matches”

Fair play to Bournemouth! The best of that pack.

I can see a problem or two with the Brentford fans' attempts to paint Ollie as an evil monster...
