  1. Dont believe what women tell you - women of size 12/14 sometimes love to pin why they're single on the fact that men 'only' want skinny women.

Kinda like fat people blaming it on genes. Every fat person blames it on genes. NOT THE FACT YOU CHOW DOWN 5000 CALORIES A DAY????

  2. We moved into our street last November, said hello to our immediate neighbours and the others we sent Christmas cards to (saying who we were and what house number...)

Most responded and we now have a pretty decent friendliness with most of our neighbours

  3. I scored past Gordon Banks on a holiday [lets forget hes well old now, and only has one good eye] - have that Pele, you talentless bastard!

I have 3 youth international level caps - all in different sports - Athletics, Football and Rugby. I now suck terribly at them all, mainly due to a lack of speed (in fact, that is a certain reason why I now suck at athletics!)

My nan was Mark Delaneys neighbour when he played for Cardiff - Peter Whittingham was interested in her house when she sold it, but he said it was out of his price range at £920,000. Someone hopes too much on the turn of a card, me thinks??

  4. General I think half the problem caused here is by a certain Russian billionaire turning up and spending all his money, so everyone assumes it'll be the same everywhere else.

Also, games like Football Manager make it seem like all you've got to do is make an offer and the player is yours. Add to that the transfer windows meaning you can only sign players for 3 months out of 12, and everyone gets frustrated (it used to be you could sign players until April...)...

Losing faith in the manager is a bit much, some people really do need to calm down and realise things are not done out in public with our club like they are with others *cough* dirty scouse bast*rds *cough* :)

  5. If you're looking for ALL of that - then none.

Direct Line and other RBS brands tend to be decent at paying up, although no-one likes to of course!

Non crazy small print - you'd be hard pushed, but Swiftcover have some daft ones.

Best customer service - Elephant, Admiral and Diamond, in my experience.

  6. Nope,

NCD protection doesnt keep you at your same level of NCD, it just minimises the hit in the case of non-fault situations (currently you lose 1 year NCB for a non fault claim to 3 for fault), but protected NCB means it goes from 1 to 0.5 but fault remains at 3.

However this only works once for life of the policy. You're also paying a sizable amount on top of your premium for protected ncb - certainly far more than you will lose by having non protected and having a bump (fault or non fault).

    Hence why its a con!

  7. Unfortunately it does matter - there are two types of claim - fault & non fault.

Both will up your premium, but fault claims significantly.

By the way, unless it is 100% the other parties fault, and their insurance company accepts this, it will mean it will be marked as a fault against you.

This is regardless of protected ncb or not.

Protected NCB is quite simply paying for nothing!

  8. I'm fed up with my car insurance. I had an accident last August when a youngish driver pulled out on me and then proceeded to try to do a U turn right in front of me. Course, he gave me insurance details but it turned out they were rubbish, and whilst the insurers confirm that he is held responsible, they have virtually ditched me now as he is uninsured and, at renewal my premium has rocketed to nearly £600 as a result of losing a large part of my no claims bonus - when it wasn't even my fault! Oh sure, they wrote to me and said they are passing it to some loss recovery centre but they said success is very rare! Great! From now on I'm making sure my no claims is protected but I am still smarting about this nearly a year on.

Protected NCD would have done nothing in this instance.

Unfortunately the insurance companies need someone to blame - unless guilt is found on him, you will be listed as 'at fault'.

PNCB would have done nothing - you'd be stung big time with that against your name.

  9. Hev is he insured or not? If he's not insured then make a claim with the MIB (Motor Insurers Bureau), your insurance company should be informing you of this

Juju will tell you more about it

    Hev,

You took his number plate details right? If so, you can push the claim on that as they'll find who (if anyone) he's insured with.

Failing that, you can push for criminal charges.

  10. By the way everyone, NCD Protection is a CON!

Not in my business its not, I have a crash and lose two years no claims, I costs me a fortune over the next two years

You still have to declare the crash, which has the same affect on your premium.

Its a non claim bonus, not a non-blame.

  11. Came to just over a grand last year with no claims protection - NCD full five years

No crashes in last three years, three points - SP30 therefore irrelevant, Male

Oh yes here's why - TAXI DRIVER

Which is fair enough - you use your car more than most people, and if you lose your car, your claim values will be higher because you're losing income.

Mine was £112 last year for Vauxhall Astra 1.4, but I had a company discount.

  12. Lidl shares have soared as a result of that picture, lets hope that there is a new Lidl where their club shop is in Brum very soon!

Unlike shares in Blues after their MD cried on TV and said he was desperate to sell!!!

You couldn't write it could you.

To be fair if I knew I could have sold months ago to some Chinese guy for a much bigger price than I could get now, I'd probably cry too.

    :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh:

    Pikeys the lot of them!

I cried with laughter at this picture. I was physically on the floor with tears rolling down my eyes. funniest thing I have seen all year.

Sorry I am not from England so I don't understand at all.

What is so funny about this picture?

    You can't see its funny?

A fat weeble in the most ill-fitting small heath kit imaginable, with a cap that looks too little, carrying a cheapo supermarket shopping bag?

    IT'S HILARIOUS!!! :-)

Can someone rehost this picture on imageshack please?

Its blocked in work for me
