Hi General! I'd just like to echo the sentiments of the previous posts with regards to the Leeds Utd statement. I know us fans will sometimes moan about lack of transfers, especially at this time of year, but in all honesty I'd rather we be seen and acknowledged by the rest of the footballing world as a professional and honourable team, rather than going in with the flashy, bullish approach of some of our competitors, even if it does mean we have to bide our time a little more. It all comes good in the long run. We're starting to see this in the form of comments from opposing fans who state that they'd rather see their players come to us than any of the other top premier league teams. They acknowledge the fact that we'll look after and develop the young players properly, and that players joining Villa will progress their career under a brilliant manager, with a track record of developing bright prospects. It's great to see that the brand and perception of AVFC can still be more important than the ridiculous amounts of money involved in football nowadays. From the professionalism of our dealings with players and other clubs to the restoration of our proud traditions and landmarks, not to mention the charity and community work, Mr Lerner and everyone involved in our transformation has created a truly brilliant brand for AVFC, one that I've never been prouder to support! Everyone involved should be really proud of what they have achieved so far in such a short space of time! Here's to an even brighter future! Up The Villa!

OMG!!!!!!!! Literally can't believe we've just won the Peace cup!!! Unbelievable!!!! All the players should be stupidly proud of themselves!!!!! With such a young team too!!!

Same question. Spread the chants and build the atmosphere at Villa Park. But we need the clubs help and support. This is a really good idea!! You can feel a bit left out sometimes when you don't know what chants are going on. We're always going to have a big mix of people - those who go to every game and those who may only be able to make a couple of games a season. Anything that can be done to unite all Villa fans, make those who rarely go feel at home , enjoy the atmosphere and encourage them to get involved can only be a really good thing for the club and ensure we continue to build a strong fan base going forward! Even if we lose the game, if we can get those people involved in the atmosphere so they have a really good day out, then they'll be bursting to get to another game! Following the general's comments - I don't think we need the club to come up with the chants per se, just to publish them in the programmes. The fans themselves could submit them.
