Gives us so much more going forward. Instrumental in the 2nd goal and always dangerous. His goals will come.

We were clinical tonight going forward and reminded me the way Brentford took us apart at times when we were in the Championship first 2 years.
-
Thought he was excellent tonight, along with others, and his energy levels back to where they were before his injury.

And again you miss the point of the post. Maybe you should try English!

You’re so, so, so right there. I mean, no one who misses a sitter like that will ever make it in the premier league.
And here’s one from our £19m signing
I get the criticism about not trying hard, but you’ve written there is pure nonsense.
You’ve spent a lot of time there to make a point and taken part of my comment instead of reading the whole comment. The whole comment stands in that he misses too many to make it at this level, the Everton element of the comment was further evidence not what the comment was based on. Maybe you should find a hobby.

Looked very comfortable last night and an improvement on the Burton game. Not for loaning out at this stage. Keeping him in the fold, stater for cup games and sub in the league and watch him blossom as his confidence increases.

Watched extended highlights and can't understand why he got so much stick. Really tidy play in front of our goal before the Watkins goal that he assisted the assist. Would've had 1 on 1 with Keeper if Davis played him through instead of turn and shoot that got tipped over.
Yes he blazed wide several times but some inches wide but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take
I also watched the whole game and whilst he linked up well and created a couple of chances he had 4 really top chances and snatched at them all. To make it in the Premier League you have to be more clinical in front of goal. That miss against Everton at the end of last season nearly cost us dearly. Can’t afford to miss those opportunities at that level.

Cracking start. Clean sheet, penalty save, very comfortable with the ball at his feet and good distribution. Result.
-
Good solid start with what has needed to do. Seemed frustrated with lack of movement in front on him at times.

Engels should never play again after Spurs
Blimey, one mistake and you’re a shit player.

Looking forward to this and I expect El Ghazi and Teres to improve with the increased competition .
-
Looking forward to seeing him run the front line being supplied by Grealish.

Looking for more creativity by the looks of it similar Matt Targett on the left. Happy with this.

Looks like a proper premier league set of teams.

It's not him. He pretends that he is but it's not. The original guy also knew mostly incomings because of the medicals, he didn't speculate otherwise. He never claimed many outgoings. His way of posting is different too.
We shall see won’t we.

He called Reina in the last Window for a start. Let’s see what we get this time eh!

You’ve been consistently wrong about Dean Smith for 2 years now.
“He can’t coach a defence”, “his teams leak goals” was a common theme, and yet post lockdown he pretty much fixed the defence. There were other weird attacks as well - unable to break down 10 men, get worse in the second half, as though these must flow directly from the coach.
At some point you just have to accept that a coach who can take a team from 14th in the Championship to Premier League survival in less than 2 years... is a half-decent coach.
And there hasn’t been a single point in his time here where we’ve seen a Villa player signal that he thinks Smith is out of his depth. He’s never lost the dressing room. There have been frustrating moments, and we cut it too fine this season, but all the signs are positive now.
And don’t forget got us to a cup final as well.

Enjoyed that tonight. So much more energy from the team all over. Special mentioned to Trez who created a couple of good chances but my word put in a shift covering as well. McGinn, Grealish and Watkins very good as well.
