As someone already mentioned it’s
Wed Sat, Wed, Sat, Tue, Sat and then a game a week after that apart from the Spurs game which will be slotted in somewhere.
I think it sounds a lot worse than it is.
Agreed. And when we get into Europe next year it will be the norm.

He was my joint MoM with Barry. Brilliant.
-
Great performance with a lot of promise.
-
Quality when he got the ball and fab finish. 1st team bench before the end of the season please.
-
This better be cancelled if we don’t have out true 1st team squad available. Just heard on BT sport that because we put up a decent performance we’ll be under pressure to play this game.

I'll start this by saying everyone on the pitch should be hugely proud.
But for me 3 players stood out for me.
Barry, obviously the goal is so well taken but his work rate was second to none.
Rowe was brilliant at left back. Tired badly and was subbed off but showed he could be a quality left back.
Revan, I thought both centre backs played well but he looks like a defender that knows how to defend. Was captain tonight and he earned that armband.
All round great performance from the kids!
Completely agree but would add Sylla to that.

There are some good players here. No matter what happens fantastic effort

I love watching this team play and the style he’s bought. Instead of looking on with envy I’m look forward to watching my team play with the style Dean Smith has implemented.

Very solid performance . Another one.

Very good performance again.

It’s amazing what happens when you give some a little time to to get used to the speed of the game and the team. Excellent.

He’s definitely finding his feet and in a stable back 5, including the keeper, he’s more than proving his worth
. Love it. -
He does a job very similar to a righted sided midfield player who worked tirelessly for the cause. A certain Mr Des Bremner. Here’s hoping this team is as successful.

It’s amazing what can happen if you give someone a bit of time to find their feet, let him get his support team sorted and a say in the players he wants. Long may it continue.

Since supporting Villa he’s in my top 3 with Saunders and Gregory. Hope he goes on to surpass both with the backing he has.

Very good performance tonight.

He is a quality forward that will play for England before the end of the season.
-
Fantastic performance tonight, but like Grealish, stick him in a midfield of quality players and he looks quality.
-
Cracking debut. What an upgrade.
-
Wow wow and wow.
-
Fantastic display and something you hoped for but never dared.

I have a feeling that this is a good day.

Just an observation from Thursdays game. He looked a little bit lost at times when we lost the ball to the transition and shape we currently play. Think Smith will bring him on as a sub until he becomes familiar with the press, cover and defensive shape expected when we lose the ball. Think he offers us something new going forward which is exciting.

That's fair enough if this is just how Dean likes to play.
Thought he was more of a possession based coach, but if he prefers to to play super direct football there is no point for me to criticize.
None of the goals were scored were from direct football. But hey ho.
