Get this dilemma in the relationship advice thread.
But I concur with @Sidcow, send her to Dumpsville, population one, her.

I think that its been done to avoid any doubt about his future. We approached and he agreed with a view to talking again in the summer. The club or Unai don't want anything to distract over the next month. Its potentially the 2nd biggest month in our modern history.
Run up to playoffs, beating Albion and then Derby has to come second behind Rotterdam.
Zero of what is happening now happens if that run didn't take place. Team would have been decimated and we could / would have been down there for a significant amount of time.

Hi Mr Heck, how’s the new club crest redesign coming along? Been hearing great things about it………
If there's a proportional response from the change of an auto-renewal function, to the new crest not being appreciated, Villa Park may be torched to the ground.

It's not about it being some incredibly onerous task. It's like you reply before reading the post you're replying to.
Let's try this another way: Why do you think they've made this change?
Probably for the reasons stated by many in the thread, incase people forget.
My only point is that it's not that big of a deal. If you forget, you'll notice £50 has left your account and then get the money back when you tell them you don't want to renew. In a world full of massive problems, focussing on this tiny one seems counter-productive. Like I said, each to their own.

It's not that hard to read that people don't like anti-customer behaviour that's clearly a predatory attempt to profit from the forgetful
The functionality is already there, and they're taking it away because they reckon they can shake a few more pennies that way.
Takes thirty seconds to send an email and cancel. I guess some people don't have thirty seconds spare, each to their own.

If I buy something for a period of 12 months, then I’d like that service to be for 12 months. Not for them to extend it for another 12 months unless I cancel.
They used to let us choose when signing up whether you wanted auto-renewal or not. I signed up with no auto-renewal. They have now changed the terms of the contract I signed up to without my consent.
Playstation Plus and some car insurance also try this trick and I don’t allow them to either. But at least they tell you at the start of the contract, not changing it during my contractual period.
I’m certainly not going to accept this from Villa either.
I do realise that I might be in a minority and that’s fine. That’s what the club are banking on, 99% won’t even read the email.
So you're not going to renew because of this?

It’s principle. People want to have the choice to auto renew or not without having to send an email.
You do have the choice. You can choose not to renew before the auto renewal date and you can choose to cancel after the auto-renewal date.
-
You can cancel for free, no drama, with full refund, within 14 days of the membership being renewed.
I don't understand what people are getting pissy about?

Just watched the last episode of the Sunderland 'Till I Die documentary. Fans crying. Dads with kids crying. Everyone crying.
If / when we win the UECL and / or qualify for Champions League, there will be tears. Fact.

I'm confident we have this now.
And I honestly think for next season the title thread will be equivalent of this one.
I started this one on the day we beat Brighton to secure UECL.
I am more than happy to start the title thread on the day when / if we secure UCL!

tbf our best performances in 2 of the last 3 games was without Luiz.
Blasphemy I know, but, is there scope for the team that played today be the First XI moving forward? Who would you take out for Chelsea to allow Luiz in?

I think we’ll aim to start fast and try to blow them away first half as we did to sides earlier in the season. I don’t see us rotating much because simply, we have no real options for it (aside from in defence).
I think the polar opposite. Start fast and blow them away just doesn't seem to be Emery's style in games where fatigue may be an issue.
Energy conservation, methodical build up and intelligent use of subs will be order of the day I feel.

On a sort of related note Ollies pen was probably the best of the night. I know he slipped but dunno why he doesn't just take then for us.
Because he's generally but god **** awful at them. Today was a very welcome surprise.

Never in doubt.

The plan will be to conserve energy. Emery often does this. I would expect running and purpose to increase now as the game runs on.

2-2. Villa score first two. They put us through the ringer.
And on we march.

Completely different to last season. They have never been in the driving seat this season so there's nothing to bottle.
This season they've just lost it, assuming Man City don't slip from here.
This. Someone has to come 2nd. Doesn't mean they bottled it, just that came 2nd.
