It's interesting. I'd agree with you - I think there's an argument about evolving the proposed crest from the existing Lerner crest not being a material change at a level that the FA would get involved in, and there's an argument that the survey sent out in October would constitute enough consultation - but there's also an argument that the round badge is the one that the FA currently consider to be our most recent having been heavily involved in the consultation and that the results of October's consultation don't completely align with the proposed crest design. Like you however, I would have been a little surprised that the FA would chose to get involved in this one.

They have though, the club were looking to launch this crest a month ago and it seems it's the concerns of the FA that have prevented them doing so - it's all a bit of an unnecessary mess.

Is there another FAB meeting this week to discuss this and other things?

Do you think Sir Jimmy Dodger might be realising that it's best not to go making demands for tax money when you don't pay any?

The other thing that he is oblivious of is The Government/Council already built a stadium in Manchester for the Commonwealth Games just happens City moved into it.

Pep isn't dominating without his 10 £50m defenders to be fair. Money only gets you so far, yes...but in the right hands it's pretty damn far.

But he is the one that keeps them all happy once he goes let's see what happens!

  4. City are doing well because of Pep.

Chelsea have spent billions and are average

Man Utd have spent billions and are average

Liverpool doing well because of Klopp

Arsenal doing well at the moment is it sustainable.

    Spurs a bit like us.

    Newcastle a bit like us

    Brighton punching above their weight

I would back Unai to mold us into champions if allowed it would not take billions.  He just needs to able to keep his best players and add one or two.

Money only gets you so far its the infrastructure and team behind the scenes that propels clubs forward.

The fact its not a level playing field needs to be looked at.  It never will be with oil states but clubs should be able to grow somehow.  Current rules protect those clubs that benefitted prior to the rules coming in.

Unai sort of rubs his face a lot. He grabs at it and pokes it and drags his two finger tips along his jawline frequently in interviews. My son does the same thing, I've noticed. Just an observation, no disrespect meant. Anyone else notice this?

It's a concentration thing I think when he speaks English would need to see if its the same when he speaks Spanish.

Love him more and more each day!

A reset could be bad though. A club could go all out, take a points deduction and then be clear after that and still work the benefits of the overspend.

Like I say they need to have the deductions in black and white sliding scale.  If a club is happy to risk the points deduction so be it.  There needs to be a way to allow spending that is not saddling a club with debt.  Its not a level playing field.
