UEFA appear to be terrified that Liverpool will reach the final of the Europa League in Dublin and they'll be overwhelmed by ticketless fans - there's talk of them having to move the game to Croke Park and its higher capacity in order to cope (although they can't really consider that until Rangers are out).

It must be difficult finding venues for finals.

I read it as they will just show it on a big screen for ticketless fans at Croke Park?

Dendoncker will return having not played much at all and we will have to struggle again to find a buyer or taker for him when he returns… 🤦‍♂️

I reckon be would be playing at the moment if still here.  If Kamara is still out for the start of next season he could be an asset if Unai does not fancy Tim.

    Sink or swim time.

The inevitable " we saw from his time at Arsenal " Bollox has started doing the rounds.

Idiots will be idiots.  Anyone with sense will see Unai has done an amazing job since day one.

We are still a work in progress and we will have ups and downs.

  4. To me managers can have fanboys in the media/online for different reasons but being over rated is when it's shoved down your throat.

Internationally Southgate for getting the players to get on for instance great job.  Tactics and anything else on the pitch questionable at least but he gets a free pass and lorded so definitely over rated.

For the Prem its probably anyone linked with top jobs like De Zerbi ok they can be great but it's not consistent so why would it translate to Liverpool or whoever challenging for 4 trophies a season.

So even though I think he has done a good job that is over hyping.

The other way those that don't get enough credit I would go for Rob Edwards.  Pound for Pound punching above his weight competitive in each game. They will probably go down but he deserves a lot of credit.

If we assume Brighton are out at 4-0 down then best case scenario next week we get 5 teams through and are looking good. Worst case scenario we are left with just Liverpool and Man City 😬

Brighton might not go threw but can still earn points with a win.

Remember being in a similar queue in 1977 for tickets for the League Cup Final v Everton. .......times have certainly changed!

Probably spend more time on the phone to the ticket office than you would in that que 😜

They really have been pap haven't they? Wouldn't mind seeing Leipzig get a goal early in second half

But Italy and Germany are above us in the race for an extra Champions League place?

We're treating this as the away shirt now aren't we. When was the last time we wore the white top?

Ajax play in Red and White so makes sense to wear Blue

I agree, it has to be Marley themed. I asked AI and it came up with this. 🤣🤣

(To the tune of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff")

🎶 "Leon Bailey on the wing, oh what a joy he brings,

Defenders tremble at his pace, in Villa Park, he owns the space,

I shot the goalie, but Bailey scored the goal,

Oh what a feeling, Leon Bailey's on a roll!

From Jamaica to Birmingham, he's a star so bright,

Dribbling past opponents, like a flash of light,

I shot the goalie, but Bailey found the net,

Oh what a player, we'll never forget!

So sing for Leon Bailey, with all your might,

In claret and blue, he's our guiding light,

I shot the goalie, but Bailey saved the day,

Oh Leon Bailey, Villa's on the way!" 🎶

I hope you enjoy this football chant inspired by Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" for Leon Bailey and Aston Villa!

I'm thinking working it around 3 little birds would be better

Yeah I was thinking something simple like

    Don't worry about a thing

    Coz Leon Bailey is Dynamite

  10. I want a discount on the new Adidas attire please if they are putting up my season ticket.

They need to think of ways to encourage us to spend more money rather than just putting prices up.  Take some but give some back but you are still spending it on the club.  Be that in the shop or on food/drinks.

Members should get this too not just Season Ticket holders.

I will be renewing but my season tickets have gone up around 80% since promotion.

Make the women's football free to season ticket holders when games are at Villa Park. Also make the womens season ticket a payable add on to the men's save on admin.

I don't care what other clubs charge we should set the standard for fairness.  Ticket prices for all not just those that can afford it.

As mentioned elsewhere easy access online to change the person using the ticket.

They are saving money on staff pass that back to the fans if there is no ticket office. If there is then it needs to vastly improve no shutting down for lunch.  Trying to speak to someone is a waste of time.

There is room round the back of the concourse in The North Stand Upper use it if it's not being knocked down. Can't keep putting the prices up for shit facilities.

Pound for Pound one of the worst teams you'll ever see.

How Ten Haag gets away with it and the softball questions and Neville and Keane not making a peep after ending people's careers the past 5 years is staggering.

    I don't get it. I really don't.

Agreed they have no pattern of play it's just hope someone does abit of magic!  How we lost twice to these i will never know.

Like the pound for pound analogy should be another league table for this.  Spend versus points think Luton would be top 4!

I didn’t partake, so I’m in no position to critique those who submitted their predictions now.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised if any Wolves supporters reading this thread would do so while having a quiet smile on their face.

For the sake of transparency, they are doing better than I thought they would.

Nah they all thought they would struggle no different to what we thought.  Gary O'Neil has done an amazing job really.

    My thoughts on Purslow….

I feel he did a lot of good work in laying the foundations to getting Villa to where we are today, he made a decision that in hindsight he regrets but overall he did a good job and probably was what we needed at that time in that role.

If he had got someone competent we would never have got Unai.  Sliding doors moment.

  14. GA+ or whatever the buzz word is at the moment as in extracting more money for the same seat with some add on is interesting me.

I am trying to read between the lines of Hecks reasoning for mothballing the new North Stand.

Saying we are adding seats too quick.  We all know that is bullshit but maybe if we are not adding the right seats?   Is he trying to extract the last pennies out of us all to plug the gap whilst it's rebuilt?  Conditioning us to prices?

We all love what is happening on the pitch but there is a lot of pain coming it seems after reading the FAB minutes.

We do have to compete we all get that but they should follow the German model on what fans pay.

Football is a working class sport not elitest. Sure you can cater for all price points but it seems to me to be leading up rather than a happy medium.

if we sell ramsey on the 29th June it will be a footballing decision (monchi) guided by finances (CFO) with Heck over seeing both

you can put that kind of process in to every walk of life and every business going, football is no different, at times it seems like fans cant disassociate football clubs from other businesses when in reality football clubs seemingly move further towards being completely regular on an almost daily basis

maybe the only strange thing about villa is that the CFO is barely ever mentioned but you'd have to assume he does a financial report to heck, monchi does a football report to heck and heck makes decisions - which part of that would be any different if they managed a factory rather than a football club? or which part of that would be different if FFP didn't exist? all FFP does is change the info that needs to be on the reports, it doesn't change the process

I think other businesses are allowed to speculate to accumulate.  Seems football does not allow that anymore.

Football is ammotive so if as fans we see that other teams have an unfair advantage we vent.
