With grabban signing pretty sure he won't play for us again unless a big injury crisis

Hogan is injury prone so just like that he could make the bench. But yeah your probably right..  Brucie  doesnt fancy him.

  2. I dont know much about him but he has goals and experience. After Hogan its Davis.. so its an improvement on Davis at this stage. McCormack get a look in if he tries hard in training.. weve got the fire power for promotion.

Yup, Don't say much for Taylor

If the player who is playing out of position is keeping you out of your position but being let go!

worked out well in the end. I figured we needed a LB to back up Taylor. But if we go up Taylor can be a back up to our new LB.

  4. He played his part no matter what he does the rest of the season. Absolutely carried us at times.

His form has dipped a bit.. Green may take over in coming weeks but no way you drop him during a 5 game winning streak. Hes played ok enough. His work rate is underrated. Tracks back and defends.

    Strange one,

He's seen off Richards, RDL and Bree for RB position and even seen off Taylor for the LB position!

Its amazing isnt it. I am sure there were more he saw off before them too?

Anyway.. i think if we do go up.. then we need a new LB.

  6. Wow hes a different player in the DM role. Clearly not a winger. Doesnt have the pace nor the skill to play out wide at this level. Midfield is definitely his go. His work rate along with Hourihane.. they do the dirty work that allows Jack to get forward with Adomah and Snodgrass. Keep him in.

Score a goal and you're MOTM.

I remember watching a game where Sturridge came on for Liverpool (from memory) on about the 85th minute. He scored and got MOTM.

How can you be MOTM when you play for 5 minutes?

well if you single handily WON the game for a team with your individual brilliance.. you could argue that hes man of the match as he was the goal scorer that created it out of nothing. Plus it was a worldie.

Johnstone saved us many times as well but strikers get the headlines. Nothing new there.

I didnt rate him much.. hes slowly starting to prove me wrong.. i still believe alot of the clean sheets were because of our defence (not much to  do in a lot of them) but he earnt his due last night. Fantastic performance.

I think being upbeat is admirable.....but we have a long way to go.

all these teams will not fall away, we will not have the luxury of a points gap relaxation like Wolves.....we have to keep our nerve on matchday or the players will sense it.....total belief will get us over the line.

17 games, anything can happen.....we have to keep winning

13 more wins should do it.

We are well positioned, get players back from injury and that game and goal will do the "belief" no harm at all.

I don't think we will get a striker, to raise our odds of promotion, but hey ho......we just have to do it the hard way.

We do have a nice 7 point gap to keep our play off spot.

Two weeks Ross?! He's testing you to see how lazy you are. You're meant to say, 'No I want to play now!' And then prove it.

I think its more like the Gabby 6 week program he got put on. Except he only gave 2 weeks to Ross. Lose 5kg in 2 weeks. Show me how much you want it when you return.

  10. Aston Villa Review was great.. was just unfortunate they were doing it through some of our worst years.

Villa View is fantastic. I really dont get the nonsense that they are the mouth piece for the club. Yes they are positive.. but you know what.. our fan base needed it. Too much negative shit as it is going around. AS it turns out.. they were right to be positive.. we are moving in the right direction. I have seen them be very critical too. I like Dan and Matt.. but i think Tom and Dan have a bit better chemistry than Dan and Matt did.

That is a fair point KSV. I think if Terry or Chester get injured then Tuanzebe will slot right in. The position of CDM will be between Bjarnasson & Tuanzebe initially.

It is so nice to have the options of headaches in positions in terms of selection that we have many players all fighting for the shirt in many positions. Good times.

yeah no doubt. I think regardless.. Tuanzebe will get infront of BB.. maybe if we have a draw or a loss but if we keep winning with BB in the team.. why change it?

  12. yeah i dont buy the we gave him two weeks off.

I think its more like.. we need you at this weight like we said in the summer.. you get into shape or close to it in 2 weeks then you can play again.

Target has been set imo. The guy is confident.. you dont just banish him for a break after hes just got himself fit. Maybe a behind the doors friendly as well?

So there shouldn't be any problem just dropping BB either?

Elphick was leaving. If bb goes too.. then fine.. but looks like he's hanging around. Plus he was dropped for our captain and legend. Not some kid on loan.

Chester, Kodjia, Jedinak, Adomah say hi

cant really fault him too much for RMAC. He seemed like a decent buy at the time. He looked decent under RDM.

Gollini didnt get a proper go. Tish... not sure what happened there. Awful signing.

Thor is never a CDM based on a game and a half including vs woeful atm Barnsley. He lacks most of the attributes integral for the position. Screw this give the guy a chance bollocks. That's the kind of small time thinking that is part of the way to being in the championship.

Hes played there before for his previous club and country. Its not completely foreign to him. I didnt say to give the guy a chance.. i prefer if you play well you keep the spot. Dropping a guy that does well.. what does that say to him or the rest of the squad players. You have to keep them happy and working hard. Just like Bruce did with Adomah and Hutton.. its the best way to go.. everyone knows they have a chance to stay in the team once an opportunity arises.

I dont doubt this kid is miles better than Thor but he needs to earn his position. No point having our squad unhappy at being dropped to keep a player on loan happy for 3-4 months who will inevitably return to his parent club next season.

  16. I don't care how good he is. You cant just bring him straight in and piss those who are actually contracted to us. This kid will not be staying permanently. He can wait. Thor's turn now. Deserves to keep the shirt. Unless he's still leaving..

Sod that, long hard season still with alot of games and anything can happen.

A few injuries and we will be bricking it again.

    They could come in useful.

Send them on loan when/if we are up.

He is way down the pecking order. Both really. Lansbury Whelan jedinak Green Axel Ononah  will all be rotated to fit into the system before Callum is considered. They aren't even in the first 11. Same with RHM. Gabby is back now.. Davis and if we bring another striker on loan. We play one upfront now. We won't use them. Rather they go play regularly against men in league 1 rather than have 10 minutes off the bench for one two games.
