  1. Just after watching his highlights from last season for the first time, while I noted he made some good saves the amount of times he parried the ball directly out in front of the goals or to an opposition player is worrying also seems to go for quiete a few saves with the wrong arm possibly for show. Hopefully Battara can sort these issues out.

5.5 mill alot of money almost what we paid for Delph who was alot more experienced at that level bit of a risky one

Yea but to be fair that was 7-8 years ago, things have changed drastically in transfer fees in that time. Also it is rumored to be a much smaller fee up front and the £5.5m is with add ons.

We're being linked with Juventus goalkeeper Nicola Leali.

Also see the name Etrit Berisha popping up on twitter. Albanian international keeper. Plays for Lazio. Seem to be linked to every half available keeper in Italy due to our new GK coach.

Don't think I've seen someone playing with the collar all buttoned up before.                                                                     :thumb:  :)

Could be a new thing catching on? Like the ol' Cantona flipped up collar thing.

Stephen Quinn. Always used do it for Ireland.  He looked (even more) riduculous.

  5. The villa ladies are wearing the new kit today and they have posted up pics of it line up in the dressing room. Looks good except for the blue is again far too light.  The claret looks a better shade than macron.

  6. My problem is with the home, I really hate the way lads go around with polo T's and shirts buttoned up to the very last it looks so chavy now we are going to have to look at it on a football shirt as well. If the collar is left open it probably wont look too bad.

The away one is very reminiscent of this:

I much preferred when we used that colour blue on our kits. Last few years the blue has been so pale it was almost white.

  8. The away looks top class to me . The shade of claret on the home on the above pics lools very nicr.Doubt that the claret top in the trailer is the home shirt.

At the end there are white sleeves jutting out the end as well in the clip.

not bothered if people rate them, dont rate them or like me dont particularly care about half of them...one thing counts and thats thay they are the people RDM wanted and the club went out and got them

as for eva, dont think her case vs chelsea has been settled yet

Pretty sure it just started in the courts this morning .

  10. It feels like the first time in ages that a new manager at the club has gotten his own first choice backroom staff and they have been brought in quickly. That to me is a good sign. At least the work can begin straight away now.

I'm pretty sure Curaçao are just a subsidiary of the Dutch national team & aren't eligible to qualify for Fifa tournaments like the World Cup, so it's like being called up to the England c team

They were in qualifying for the 2014 WC.

  12. I have a decent bit of under armour training gear and it is the best I have ever had for longevity. Tops and shorts 5-6 years old look as good as new and keep their shape brilliantly.

I mentioned last week Sale (who's done this column for about 10 years so he's not some no mark journalist like the Talksport guy) put a few lines that the deal was in doubt.

And now he comes back with a little more so rightly or wrongly someone somewhere is tipping him off.

I just wish it would all get sorted one way or another but if this takeover deal falls through we are in major major trouble. You know what the squad mentality is like here...they'll all be laughing at the club trying to install discipline onto them when the club can't even be sold properly.

One thing that unnerved me was that interview Dr Tony did when he got out a bank statement as proof of funds. Is that really something a serious businessman would do, it just struck me as a bit amateurish although that's the only thing I haven't liked from the Doctor, he's been fine in the other interviews.

I just don't like the delay, pretty sure the Chelsea and Man. City deals were done overnight.

There was no fit and proper persons test when Abramovich took over Chelsea and a much more lenient one when City were taken over.

Chill your beans... Tony said it would be a couple of weeks.

The last interview I saw he said it would be 1 more week and that was a few days ago.

I think we should go back to the mid century strip of traditional claret and blue top and whites shorts, but with black socks...

    So basically the 2011-12 kit?

  16. Just been on twitter it's f@@king hilarious. The misery from some people. Any news that means we take a step closer from getting out from under one of the worst owners possible is good news. We have just been relegated and are facing another relegation under this clown. I don't care if they are an investment group. I don't think an investment group from China want us in league 1 or 2 and believe me that is straight where we are heading under the shrivelled ball sack that is Randy Lerner.

  17. I've been thinking and this is the best way to be relegated, can't feel sorry for ourselves, can't blame luck ,injuries or others. It has been coming such a long time that I don't care as much as I once did and we have a team full of players who don't give a f$$k about the club therefore I don't give a f$$k about them players. If this had come directly off the back of MON's reign It would have been so much harder for me to take as I had hope for a bright future at that time.

Really liking the OJ Simpson drama on BBC. 2 episodes in so far.

A great story and I'm hooked as I want to follow the storyline to the end but my God it has some of the worst acting I have ever seen. Travolta and Schwimmer awful at times and Cuba isn't much better. Just looks so fake like cheap daytime TV most of the time. Their obsession with the Kardashians is also annoying me, adding the kids in and out of it only because they are now famous.I hope it improves. I'm 3 episodes in BTW.
