Well, well. Didn’t look like we knew what we were doing for first 15 followed by superb half an hour. Pretty sure we’d be winning if Barkley was playing.

Mcginns made 4 passes this half!

First half awful but Much better in the second half. 
defence was very dodgy overall and attack not much better but we have a fantastic midfield trio in Ramsey x2 and Chuk, with Chuk being the pick of the bunch today. Louie Barry did start showing as well before he went off injured. Hopefully the team will get better once our new signings are intergrated.

I’ve also only seen him once before and was very quiet then so hard to say but he certainly seems to have the attributes and physique to make it if he keeps working hard.

On iPhone I had to download iFollow app and now I am watching it on there website on pc. Villa coming into it a bit more now with Chuk playing well.

Playing terribly so far unfortunately just constantly giving it away. Nothing like the first half against Sunderland when we looked great.

I’m very happy with our Cb options if Engels is back. If he’s not ready though we could definitely do with cover. Really do believe that Engels can come good though if he can keep fit.

Excellent work guys,  I’m loving it. I subscribe to all the Villa podcasts available and you guys have made a great start considering it’s early days. I have been a bit annoyed with other podcasts (Mentioning no names) with getting wrong player names or wrong positions, showing lack of knowledge. Whereas you guys, being regulars on here are passionate and knowledgable of all things Villa. Only thing that annoys me is that your guest names are Chadsy and Jugsy and that’s too many Sys for more liking but I’ll get over that. Keep up the fantastic work guys. UTV!

I do agree as Targett can be a wee bit brittle and much as I appreciate Taylor I don’t think he can support us in any way past the halfway line.

Loving the fact he’s putting together such an English base now as well with Targett, Mings, Konsa, Cash, Barkley, Grealish and Watkins all being first teamers either in (or around) the England squad or having the potential to get there. If Targett puts together a run he could have a great chance due to England left back shortage. Cash on the other hand has a lot to get past as we seem too o be be blessed at RB.

I’m pretty sure Barkley has come in to play on the left of a 3 man midfield and this will appease Jack as he knows his quality and the fact he’ll be able to trust him to pick him out with throughballs and link up well with him. also if jack vacates LW and moves infield he knows that Barkley can comfortably move out too the left in his place. Fantastic signing.
