Need to move Ramsey in to the top bracket. He's more injured than Buendia at the moment.
I think we might well pay some off if there is any leeway in our 23/24 finances. Better to take the hit this year if we can afford it, and then frees up their weekly salary for next year.
Injured yes I agree, but there has certainly been media speculation as to his future this summer, which is why I thought it best to keep him in the middle bracket. Personally, I would love to keep him and wouldn’t want to entertain any bids for him.

Doesn’t look like any kit teasers or launch today then? The rumour of something being announced must have just been the Adidas confirmation. Shame, I was all excited for today. -
Looking at our squad as of today and excluding loans in this season (Zaniolo/Lenglet), I think we have 13 players that the club wouldn’t want to sell or loan out, or they’re recovering from injury and therefore unlikely to receive bids for:
Martinez, Gauci, Konsa, Mings, Pau, McGinn, Tielemans, Buendia, Diaby, Rogers, Bailey, Kamara, Watkins.
Then we have a group of 11 players that we may not want to sell but FFP/PSR etc forces our hand somewhat. Or we may privately be happy to move on if the right offers (sale or loan) are received:
Cash, Carlos, Digne, Moreno, KKH, Luiz, Ramsey, Iroegbunum, Duran, Sinisalo and Marshall.
Finally from the current squad, I think we’d like to sell, loan or release this summer these six players for starters:
Olsen, Chambers, Hause, Coutinho, Dendoncker, Archer (again)
Personally, I reckon Emery would love to bring four or five in (permanent or loan) but much will depend on who stays and who goes?

I must admit the Villa fans singing “Is this the way to Barcelona” yesterday sounded class. For those who haven’t heard it, there are a few videos and podcasts doing the rounds.

Having slept on it I've decided I don't really care about the new crest one way or another.
Yes it looks amateurish, completely misaligned, has a drop shadow and obviously been done "in house" to save money.
But in the grand scheme of things it says Aston Villa and has a lion on it.
I think if not for the amazing season we've had I'd probably be more concerned, but as it is I'm just accepting it and looking forward to the new kits.
Feel completely the same here now as well.- 2

Beyond giving a shit at this point.
Put the lads out in bibs and vests for all I care.
skins I reckon. I love a six pack! -
Sums up this thread in 24 hours pretty nicely I reckon -
There are four or five Palace players I’d have in our squad in a heartbeat. Really impressed by some of them.

After seeing this image, I went straight to the Villa website to find out more.
I feel a bit stupid in hindsight.
Glad I wasn’t the only one then.- 1

It's not released yet, it's a full on teaser. We are still using old badge as profile pic on twitter still
First full showing though. Just seems a strange way to me but as I say, I’m perhaps out of touch.

Ok, I do consider myself quite old but is it a little strange to release the new badge on X but no mention of it on the official site? Just a little surprised but is it the done thing nowadays? I have never used X and wouldn’t even know if it wasn’t for this site. -

Don’t like seeing us lose, but it’s not really the end of the world.
I never said it was!

It’s a dead rubber match. Why care?
Why not? I’d rather not see us get smashed! Personal pride and all that, they should care as fans have paid good money to go and watch them.- 1

I’m staggered that some on here are ok with this? Yes, we’ve had a brilliant season, yes we’re qualified for the Champions League but this is a humiliating defeat. An absolute mauling. Not good enough and the starting eleven should have been better today. Could be 10-0 FFS.

I very much hope our new kit is a beauty and unveiled tomorrow. We need something after this embarrassment. -
Poor. Three for Mateta. 4-0
-
Olise dancing round us for fun. He better not get someone sent off p.
-
Could have been 4-0. I know we’re done for the season but I expected better than this showing.
