    Absolutely nothing to fear now

Exactly this. Despite all the injuries and suspensions, we have five league cup finals and hopefully several more European outings before the end of the season.

Major confidence and belief going into the final run in. What a time to push on and show everyone how good we are.

  2. Think Watkins is now on 58 Premier League goals for us and only two behind Yorke now? He’ll surely beat Gabby’s record next season, which is a magnificent achievement and thoroughly deserved to be our top Premier League goalscorer.

  3. Energy levels obviously a factor here but if we can, play our best team:

                               Martinez

      Konsa        Carlos        Pau          Digne

    McGinn     Tielemans       Luiz          Rogers

                       Bailey        Watkins

We can do this.  1-2 win UTV

  4. 19 goals now.  What a fantastic season and throughly deserves to reach 20 plus goals.

How can he not be in the conversation for PL player of the season?

  5. Can’t believe how unlucky I am. Was offered 7-1 by my online bookies for Watkins to have 2 shots on target, which I took for £5. Covered the bet by also putting 50p on a Villa win at 10-1.

I’ve won my £5 back but if only Watkins have had another shot on target today!

What a fantastic weekend and result today. So important for confidence.  UTV

  6. Really not expecting anything today but maybe, just maybe? Think there is a strong case for changing our style/formation at least today, especially if PAU doesn't play and our midfield being decimated.

Perhaps rather than our usual possession based game, we look to be a little more direct and look to hit long balls to Watkins, Bailey, Diaby, Rogers or Duran, or whoever is playing? Newcastle have been extremely effective recently employing this tactic with Gordon and Isak isolating a defender and running at them one on one. It’s not always pretty stuff but it’s  effective. The way they ran at the Spurs defenders yesterday was without fear and ruthless.

I just don’t see us winning a possession based game against them, especially in midfield, where Rice and Odegaard will be too strong for us I feel. We’ll make sloppy mistakes playing out and get easily picked off. Play more direct for this one, then this is where we may get some joy. There is talk already of Gabriel, Kiwior being rested and possibly more hopefully?

I certainly think we can score, but I’m not confident at all of keeping a clean sheet. Avoid a Man City away performance please and keep it tight.  Can we do a smash and grab? Now hoping for a 1-2 win but would be delighted with a point.

Fergie's influence is amazing, considering that he is probably enjoying a boozy dinner with horse-racing chums after the Grand National, 200 miles from Bournemouth.

Wait, what?  I’m just at home with Mrs F & kids watching Saturday Night Takeaway unfortunately.
