  1. If Man city have ambition to win things then they really need to buy some centre backs, not strikers and midfielders. Which they have in abundance.

And the only players i'd take off them would be De Jong and Tevez. Because anyone else, I either don't rate or they will massively over value.

(and i realise they'll never net Tevez leave)

  2. No because banning them make you look like joyless bastards. And if you let them in you'll have a few for maybe one or two matches, then people will get completely bored of them.

It amazed me in the world cup how they kept it up all game. British supporters will not do that.

  3. The His Dark Materials trilogy is absolutely fantastic.

Agree completely. Don't let the fantasy aspect fool you, it's immense.

I was thinking of picking this up but was put off by the parallels to Harry Potter in that it’s essentially a kid’s book.

Just how geared for kids are they?

They are in no way children's books. The Potter comparisons made are lazy and quite frankly laughable. Seriously, give them a shot.

There are sections of those books, that would give some kids nightmares.

The first two are great, the third one is completely mental.

  4. City to offer 3 players for Arteta?

Not too sure if Everton should go for that IF it did happen!

Think Johnson's career is pretty much over now with injury problems.

Surely if this is true Milner must be staying here.

Seems to me that all Man City are doing now is unsettling players at the clubs around them. And if they actually sign them, so what? They can afford it, and they don't need to play them.

They've already took players from United and Arsenal. Probably Chelsea being the only team that have money to hold on to players.

So next they'll target, Spurs, Liverpool, Villa and Everton.

  5. I learnt the sequence (thus far, I'm trying to do the Reye's Rebels outift), on the third one of four. I have the sequence ground into my brain. But it isn't enough. You do it too slowly, you fail. you do it too quickly, you fail. You try and do it rhythmically, you fail because the time runs out.

    **** it right off.

I read that it can be bugged on some games. If you skip the sequence of the other guy showing you what to do then the time shortens and its nearly impossible. You have to watch them every time. This seemed to work for me and I did it. It still took ages though.

  6. Yeah, no worries. We had this debate yesterday.

Basically the Randy Lerner article has been totally misinterpreted by the press who say we have to sell to raise money for purchases. We dont. Its a load of bollocks. And some fans are believing it.

    To sum up, Randy says:

    - There is money to spend.

    - If there are players we want we can go after them without having to raise the cash from sales.

    - We wont spend £30m on one player.

    - We dont need to in order to compete for the top 4.

    - Top 4/silverware is still the aim.

    - All clubs will want to move players on as well as buy.

    etc...

The point being, money is no good to us compared to footballers because we're a football club. Good players are our lifeblood. We dont have Man City money but we dont need their money either.

So we should tell them to **** off and continue on our own way.

My understanding is that Randy wants the club to break even from an operational perspective but he will contribute to new signings. Therefore, we probably do have to sell to buy BUT not to fund the transfers necessarily more to reduce the wage bill to create capacity for new additions.

Yep that is pretty much spot on what my understanding was.

Seems to be a fair enough approach too.

  7. Real one this...(even though not sure if situation is still the same)

Whilst at Newcastle there was a thing on Football Focus which said that Milner didnt have an agent...he didnt see the point, just allowed the PFA to do his negotiations...which all players did that rather than having those merchants take all the money... it is down to those **** holes that players are on astronomical wages. Just liek the bloody bankers

James Milner does not need an agent and James Milner does not get paid.

By default James Milner has a bank balance of infinity and this will never decrease.

James Milner has no need for money. If James Milner asks for something, you give it to him.
