  1. You mean that Cuellar who was basically an ever-present at RB last season? Yeah, that Cuellar

the same bloke we all lambasted MON for playing because CC was shit. The same bloke which is why I dnt have a season ticket because of being utter wank

Don't know why, but he is the same bloke that is the only difference from a tidy solid defence last season. And the shambles this.

  2. why are people giving blame to pires? hes the only one doing anything attacking wise and did you even see that run when he got past a couple of players with ease? hes playing just behind carew and is not here to defend even is he actually is and doing a decent job at it.

I agree Pires has played all right.

I'm just fed up of seeing good balls going into the box and no **** striker there to do anything with it. Its been the same thing all season tbf.

  3. Superb battling performance. On the whole good shape and the kids did well. GH got the tactics and the subs pretty much spot on.

Still worry about Dunne falling asleep though

As for the ref he proved again that there is a 100% favouritism clause towards Man Utd. Both Nani and Brown should have been sent off.

And perhaps, according to Sky so should Vidic

And Hernandez for a second yellow..

  4. My first reaction is that NRC needs to grow up and not act like a sissy little girl at full time.
What did he do? I'd turned off.

Continued his arguments from the game. Refused to shake Johnsons hand and had to be dragged away by Ashley Young of all people.

I can see where the contretemps came from now, it's not the way a captain should behave.

A shame because he played quite well, for him.[/quote

He wants to shut up and calm down. I thought he was lucky not to see a red in that match.

  5. McDonald didn't seem overly keen on him. Houllier doesn't look to rate him at all. (sidwell prefered?)

Feel he was pushed on the club, to help finalise the money in the Milner deal. He really isn't the sort of midfielder that we need right now.

  6. Lets look at the evidence, he's abroad and judging by the generals post he is talking to an ex premiership manager.

Gerard Houlier is in England so it cant be him.

    That leaves:

    1 Martin Jol

    2 Steve Mclaren

    Any others ?

Papers say Svens already been interviewed.

Loads but not necessarily names you'd want to hear.

Zola, Vialli, Santini, Ramos, Tigana, Ranieiri, and Gullit.

And I'm sure I missed a few too.

  7. If we're going for a manager not currently in a job. There is no excuse for why they couldn't have been in to conduct transfer business.

If you'd prefer Randy to rush into appointing a manager, without identifying and interviewing other candidates, then yes there's no excuse. Thankfully our chairman has a bit more about him and will make an informed decision once he knows what options are available and what they can bring to the table. Getting the right man in, regardless of their current employment status, will take time.

Sorry but I don't go with this have to take time bullshit.

It was 22 days from when MON left to the end of the transfer window. There are four board members, lets say for example they are the only people working on this. 22 days, circa 3 weeks. 5 working days. I work 9 hours a day at least. Say they only do 6. That's 90 hours. 4 people working (for example), then that's 360 man hours.

I'd say that's more than plenty of time to make an informed decision.

  8. If we're going for a manager not currently in a job. There is no excuse for why they couldn't have been in to conduct transfer business.

The only reason (that isn't conspiring that it was deliberate) is that there seems to be people in charge they have a lot of experience in business. But absolutely no-one in charge that knows football.

Unless you count the life president, who has tons of experience getting new managers.

  9. This whole "holier than thou" thing the general has said about "I would not want a manager who would just up and leave his club" is frankly.....well.....bollox. How do we get players then? Since we value loyalty so much shouldnt we only be looking for free transfers and youth players? I understand the sentiment but this is a dog eat dog trade, and the nice guys usually end up mid-table or last!

You're right about not wanting a manager at another club, but a player at another club is fine.

Also you'll find that most good managers will already be in work.

  10. It'll be Sven, I know it and it'll be the best thing that's ever happened to us. All this moaning of the MON strict English transfer policy... Sven won't stop buying foreigners.

At Man City he bought Elano, Giovanni, Bojinov, Corluka, Isaakson, Bianchi... probably some more in there somewhere...

And they are the backbone of a strong premiership side. :(
