  1. I went to a Catholic school and me and most of those I went to school are now vehemently not religious.

But not only this, I'm now very well informed about why Catholicism is balls.

So in that sense faith schools work quite well IMO.

And absolutely no one remembers when I twisted my ankle a few months ago, and trust me, that really hurt.  :(

Not true, many had your avatar overlaid on their facebook profile picture. #prayforlapal_fan

Saw Brett rather moaning that people didn't go watch BvS because of rotten tomatoes

nothing to do with it being shit mate

His criticism is BS, because rotten tomatoes ratings have no correlation to box office results.

He's just pissed because, the sometime the stark contrast between the critics rating and the user ratings highlight where good reviews have bought.

Yes and a man has just died who may have been involved in a lot of those IRA attacks. but its the past now and we have the peace agreement so they are not a threat anymore unlike Islamic terrorists.

This completely misses the point of NV's post...

Also there was a bomb attack targeting the police in Northern Ireland this week.

  5. I believe the definition of terrorism is politically motivated violence. So technically if you threw a brick through your MP's window because you disagree with their politics, you'd technically be a terrorist.

Why do they absolutely never catch these bastards alive?

Surely it's as easy to shoot them in the leg?  Don't give them the glory in death they crave.

Make him stare at a blank wall for the rest of his life after poking his bullet holes a bit for info first.

The killers of Lee Rigby were caught.

I wish they would stop making comic book movies, very much flogging a dead horse, accept that horse is made of millions of dollars.

Weve had 10 years of Marvel and there seems to be no end. With DCU films coming as well I am so bored of the genre, actors and ever extending cast of characters.

    TV adaptations are even worse.

They also make a plethora of god awful horror movies every year, (how many saw, or paranormal activity films now?) Or maybe a load of terrible Adam Sandler comedies, or the Fast and the Furious franchise. But they make money.

You know what I do, don't watch them.

I have to say that I quite enjoyed it. Twenty minutes highlighting that Wayne Barnes is a bit of a clearing in the woods. :)

Barnes barely made a decision at the end there without it being verified by the fourth official. What I did find odd, is that because they don't stop the clock once the 80 minutes has passed, Samson Lee only missed about 3 minutes of actual playing time with his sin bin.

  9. I've got round to watching a few episodes of Iron Fist now. So far, I like it. Certainly doesn't deserve the mauling it's been getting.

On the fight scenes, the problem lies in that he's meant to be so good, no one is a challenge (as far as I've watched). So the fights are short and conclusive. Somewhat like the climatic scene in Crouching Tiger where Li Mu Bai faces off with Jen Yu, and there's no contest.

Critics mauled these opening episodes, but first episode aside, it's enjoyable enough stuff and already is linking up the Defenders storyline. I can't escape the feeling the race issue has coloured the critical opinion.

What race issue though? The character is the same race they have always been. And it's something you can't attack Marvel for.  They have actually bought more racial diversity into the MCU than existed in the original material.

  11. As the US figures are in millions it's not that accurate is it. So you'd say rounded to the nearest million. The Danish equivalent rounded on this scale, would be zero.

I've never seen a double post get double quoted before.  I'm almost tempted to watch Fringe in case it's some sort of clever in-joke that you only get if you've watched it.

One of those posts is not like the other.

New Top gear has started. Enjoying it but something's bothering me. The studio bits of new top gear are bad. Filmed bits are great. It's weird, during the film parts the chemistry between the three is there and feels natural. The studio bits however, it's incredibly forced. I don't know what to make of it.

Sounds exactly like old Top Gear (or The Grand Tour) then.

    ok, now I'm confused

is it 1) brittle and injured  2)  no midfield strength  3)  poor goalkeeping  4) can't score ?  or are we back to thinking it's a curse again.

I reckon Ian Holloway is a witch and has cursed us because we were mean to him.
