Oh Carlos Cuellar you are the love of my life
Oh Carlos Cuellar i'd let you shag my wife
Oh Carlos Cuellar we want curly hair too!
-
I know this has been posted before but still:
'Oooohh Aston Villa
The mighty Villa, the pride of Brum
Conquerors of Europe back in 1982
Soon to be repeated by the boys in claret and blue
Oooohh Aston Villa.....'
Perfect for European nights

I'm sure when Petrov first joined we sang his name to the same tune we did to Nobby Solano.
That'll do.
Yep thats what i suggested
Stiliyan Petrov clap clap clap clap...
Simple but effective

I really like that one! Can imagine that being chanted for European nights.
How about the Carew one, though?
[To the tune of Agadoo]
John Carew rew rew push pineapple shake the tree
John Carew rew rew he'll score 2 or maybe 3
(We've got to have one like that because when he scores a hat trick and we're singing "He's bigger than me and you, he's gonna score 1 or 2...bla bla bla" it doesn't really work)
John Carew rew rew he's bigger than you or me
John Carew rew rew he'll score 2 or maybe 3
With his strength, with his height
He'll give defences a big fright
With his left, with his right
Big John will score all **** niiight
John Carew rew rew....

When the North Stand is redeveloped are there any plans to fill in the corners of the Holte? I don't mean building work i just mean filling them in with the plasticy sheeting that is already on the Holte now. I think if more of these were added to make the Holte enclosed the atmosphere would be a lot better and a lot of the noise wouldn't be lost as it is now

New songs only seem to get sung in Adventurers before the games really as everyone is pissed and pissed together in one small place, whereas most of them don't sit together at the games probably. Most people don't join into songs that are unfamiliar unless you print off song sheets with instructions ffs!
Very true that. Theres always singing before games in the Adventurers, and theres a jukebox and before most games someone always puts on kharma chameleon and any other song that we sing to which gets everyone going. Before the Liverpool game we were singing a song about Gerrard in there, then come the game most of the Upper Holte were singing it. Get yourselves in there and start these new songs off
Yep they always play hi ho silver lining too which gets everyone started.
I'm in there every week mate in the beer garden rain or shine and join in but nobody joins in where i sit at the game in Holte
Were you in the garden before Liverpool when we were singing that Gerrard song? Everyone in the pub had heard it, then me and a few lads walked to the ground singing it so more people could hear it, then by the time we got in the ground it had caught on, simple

General Krulak here:
5. Music: I will see what I can do.
Thanks. Music when the players run out is annoying but i suppose that has to stay, it would be great though if you could sort it that no music was played until say 5 minutes after the final whistle, as i said i feel it really ruins the atmosphere when we've won as we can't be heard over the music. I know a lot of fans feel the same aswell
-
Can we stop the music being played as soon as the final whistle goes? It completely ruins the atmosphere when we've won, we've got 'Hi-ho silver lining' blaring out while the players are coming over to the Holte celebrating and the fans are trying to sing the team's praises and sing Carew's name for example. Nobody joins in with 'Hi-ho...' anyway so it would be better to just let the fans sing and leave the music off for 5 minutes

what do you people recon to this one for Milner feel free to tinker if need be
to the tune of ''no surrender'
we have a star in our team we call him milner
he gets the ball and runs down the wing
so every week we see him play for the villa
he plays for villa so the holte end sing
jamie milner
jamie milner
jamie milner running down the wing
jamie milner
jamie milner
jamie milner hear us sing
Pretty good that, get KidLewis on it

To 'seven nation army':
'Niiigel Reo Coker
Niiigel Reo Coker....'
'Viva Ronaldo':
'Nathan Delfounesooo
Nathan Delfounesooo
We know he's gonna score
So hear the Holte End roar
Nathan Delfounesoo'
-
Surely we will see a decent crowd now after 3 straight league wins
-
I see our fans were singing the old 'Ashley Young Ashley Young...' song after he scored, boring
-
We should sing the Bells are ringing against tomorrow, lets get it back being sung every game. I mean we've even got a banner saying it
-
Is the lower north stand open for all or is it season ticket holders?
I think you can get up to 6 tickets per booking. If we can work out which seat and row numbers to get can make sure I get tickets near you blackcountryvilla.
I think next season we should try and see if we can get a designated area of Holte or North stand for us singers.
Well the back of the Upper Holte is already the 'unofficial designated standing/singing area' and there are good numbers up there who stand and sing every game but the noise doesn't travel at all. Hardly anyone else in the Holte joins in anyway unless we're winning or playing Blues so it won't hurt anything if the singers moved. If we could transport all those from the back of the Upper Holte to the lower North it would be brilliant, imagine 3000 stood in there singing every game and having banter with the away fans. Teams wouldn't slag our fans off then.
-
I would be up for sitting anywhere where we could get some new chants going. How do you think we could get us new singers all together?
Well obviously we're out of the Carling Cup now and next week's game is the only 'crap' Uefa Cup game left but next season just spread the word and try and get the singers from the Upper Holte to move to the lower North for these lesser games. Or if we get a rubbish team in our group in the Uefa this season we could do it.
I think we need a standing and singing section in the lower North for all games anyway, a lot of away fans come to VP and they can't even hear us singing in the Holte. We need fans right next to the away fans who are going to sing all game, like Albion's Smethwick End on Sunday
-
i know yeh your right mate.
we are in desperate need of some new songs our current ones are old and dated also we need to stop singing about the blues there irrelevent to us now there in championship, sing songs to get behind the team.
How would we go about getting tickets in the same area of the holte end upper?
For Carling Cup games and the early Uefa Cup games the singers from the Upper Holte should move to the lower North. You could have a bit of banter with the away fans then, i mean the rest of the Holte didn't join in singing last night anyway so it was pointless the ones in the Upper even bothering

'We love you, we love you, we love you
And that is why we follow, we follow, we follow
Cause we support the Villa, the Villa, the Villa
And thats the way we like it, we like it, we like it
oooooooooo........'
I know this has been posted on here before but we need to get this going. It would sound great and it's not hard to learn, also no other Premiership team sing it
-
Well it seemed the fans there last night only knew one song, 'Holte Enders in the sky'
-
What sort of attendance we looking at for tonight and for Saturday?
-
There are lots of very average teams who have players who can change a game in a flash. Kaka hasn't been anywhere near "top 5 in the world" in quite a while IMO. Maybe upwards of a year. He may well turn it around, but no team can survive as a one man unit, no matter how good that man is.
They have a decent squad, but boy are they old. They should finish in the top 4 in Italy still I would think, but they won't get near the title. Liverpool are a good comparison, are Liverpool anything special?
bang on with the Liverpool comparison. If we can beat Liverpool we can beat AC Milan. Maybe away in Milan is asking much. But I would relish them at home, especially with the crowd.
although if that game does come around and I hear "shit on the city" I will go **** mental.
It will be 'Are you watching Birmingham' in that game, when we're 3-0 up
-
Good work but can't see the Holte End chavs picking up on anything more sophisticated than "Martin, give us a wave...".
I always feel a little embarrassed at home games, but that's just me. I'm sure some will agree and disagree in equal measure.
Help do something to change it then

Like a streak of lightning flashing cross the sky
Like the swiftest arrow whizzing from a bow

The time will come when everyone will know the name of

The pub just over the other side of the car park from the ground is the place to be.
Oh and don't sing on the coach, you'll get some right funny looks from the blanket brigade
