I understand his frustration. Without an interview, no one would know how much care and enthusiasm he took in sewing his coaching badges onto his tracksuit. He's also a dab hand at polishing boots, I hear.
-
"Looks promising". And I'm pretty sure when we're fighting another relegation battle in the Championship, he'll still be looking promising.

That means less revenue and less money to spend on players....Randy won't take the financial hit but the club itself would.
I wouldn't blame anybody for not wanting to go, but to do it in protest is counter-productive.
How is it counter-productive to not give money to incompetents who squander it?

It's the scoring that matters. It was a classic Gabby performance today, lead by example and will be well up for the Liverpool game now.

Utterly bizarre situation.
Much maligned when he signed but always looked solid to me when he played - strong and no-nonsense. Given we've looked so bad at the back you'd question why someone who never looked bad for us with over 50 international caps, couldn't get a look in, whilst shite like Clark and Richards have had free reign to cause havoc for us at the back.
Just very, very weird this.
The Villa board always need someone to put into the black magic bomb squad ritual.

Well, that concludes it then; We're too good to go down lol

If he leaves, i hope he goes in the knowledge that the vast majority of villa supporters would have liked to have seen him play and that we're disappointed as he his that it hasn't worked out due to the bad injury and poor management.

Still not a big fan of his, but that finish was one incredible touch. Very impressive.
But one good finish in hours of playing time with hundreds of wasted "dribbling" across the midfield is not enough to change my overall view.
when playing in a team that has about as much movement as Stephen Hawking's little toe, then yes his dribbles are mostly wasted.

Sounds like the club has it's very own uncle Albert. I wonder who Rodney is?
-
And the wooden spoon award goes to every Villa fan who has shown painstaking patience with this player for the past 4 months.

Albrighton had a superb game tonight helping Leicester beat Chelsea 2-1 to go top of the league again. I wonder if Paul Lambert was watching?

This guy should be a given a chance to play up front. i think he's got goals in him and will at least give opposition something to seriously think about. As it stands right now, Ayew, Gestede & Gabby are of making life far too easy for defenders.

At the end of the day, the person who will feel villa getting relegated most is Randy Lerner. I'm at that point where I really am not bothered. If we go down, I'll continue to go to villa Park. If we stay up, I'll continue to go to villa Park. If I feel it's not financially worthwhile, I'll stop going. Unfortunately for Randy, he doesn't have that option. He's completely messed his investment up good and proper, and there's nothing I can do about that.
It's one thing to buy a pig in a poke. Its quite another to turn what you buy into a pig in a poke.

He'd be a better footballer if he worked on his left foot in training. Too many times he cut inside from the right and didn't/couldn't deliver a cross. If he could play on the left side he'd be able to do what he did for his goal more often.

Interesting article from 2012...
Lambert believes Villa can be challenging for Europe if they follow his three year planNot going well is it Paul?
"....You have to progress, you can’t stand still. You have to keep going."

His time is up, ship him out now for goodness sake. Someone please, please tell me what does he do/bring to team apart from being able to run quickly in a straight line??
His pace and excelleration on and off the ball used to cause other teams a headache. I don't think any team is seriously concerned about him anymore. He's never been the same since "bulking up" his muscles. IMO, it was this that was likely to have given him more than the usual amount of injuries over the past 4 years, and being constantly played out of position has contributed to his form steadily declining. Lambert still must think there's a hope he could recapture his form like he had under MoN. It's not impossible, but IMO Gabby should go back to the size his body was naturally before and work at improving his play in the role Lambert's giving him.

Hutton MoM, worked his nuts off against Bolasie and Saha.
Benteke has to create his own chance for a superb goal
Poor game of football though

This gif has been the highlight of the thread
It's been the gif highlight of my life (with the possible exception of Bowery spinning in the wheelchair). Partly because it's such a mystery; who is that man, whys he so happy, who made the gif?
Have no idea who the chap is but he reminds me of the type of person who would be a contestant on Going For Gold!!! (showing my age a little there!)
It's Ron Paul, a US congressman Clicky

A year and a half of lots of huff and puff, and still no end product. Flattered to deceive on occasion, but mostly below par performances. Needs to go in January, if possible.
