I've heard a rumour from my mate who lives in Southampton, dont know where he has got his ideas from but seems alot of folks up there are adamant its Villa who have slapped in the 10mill bid...prob load of shite but interesting anyway... we have got an addition to the defence, 2 new badly needed faces for our attack and now we just need to sort midfield.. dioup would go down very nice, barton not possible me thinks.... We need Gera or Koumas from the baggies. We let them have Phillips now they can return the favour. Both are quality players that would fill the squad up very nicely and would be what max 2mill a piece? Anyone who wouldnt want them coz they from Baggies is stupid, they are too good for Championship, crazy if we didnt go in for one of them....Koumas is still at WBA isnt he by the way? One of the following and this will be the best transfer window ever (in this order) Dioup Gera Koumas Wright Phillips (only coz of price and we now have Young for the wing) I dont think Wright Phillips deal is dead just yet me thinks.....

no but close, id say he's a more advanced version of a traditional CF i.e he's big, strong, tough, good in the air, target man....but also skillfull with pace with the odd trick or 2.... wonderfull bit of buisness, even if it doesnt work out I'd rather try Carew out than get a poxy 3 mill for Baros...

General even if this signing doesnt come off the fact we have slapped in a bid like this proves to the few doubters left that we truley are back in buisness!! How about getting yourself and Randy on the pitch / walkabout in stadium to meet and greet some fans so we can show our appreciation? Ive never bought a season ticket before, im normally a 4-5 games a season + a shirt type of fan...however i believe that after what you have done for our club you deserve more and not only am I now a nailed on season tickey holder next season, the watford game will be my sixth game already! General please make sure u and Randy dont take any notice of any negative comments on the site... some villa fans cant help but be pessimistic after the years and years of decline and false dawns.. the majority here dont expect instant success and we know it will take time... quick question about the transfer window, I know you cant give details but is it looking promising or are Randy and Martin having difficulty finding available players of the right quality? Again thanks for taking the time out to talk to us here, you really dont know how refreshing it is.....

General, being a military man myself I knew all about you before you came anywhere near this great club and was in awe of you and what you achieved then, so now to see you here chatting to us humble fans is so refreshing after dealing with the last regime its untrue, Im over the moon at the changes already in such a short space of time have made to our club... With Randy , yourself and the manager + some transfer kitty we cant fail...
