I would imagine that, given the leaks this week re Martin O'Neill's appointment and MON's subsequent discomfort, Rothchild's initiated a meeting with MON to try to assuay any fears he may have over the takeover process. Possible?

Thats about right.. The indicative offers that are currently with Rothchild's are probably being examined to see if they meet with the criteria set out at the start, and to see if the finance is in place. One of those indicative offers will be chosen as the best deal, and it will be converted from indicative to official (probably just a small change of wording) and hey presto, offer is accepted.

Don't expect a statement today, it's VERY unlikely.

When the site went down the first time this morning, I realised just how much I rely on it to keep me informed. It was maybe 10 minutes of silence, but it was excruciating. I'm sure I wasn't the only one to feel so cut off. Lerner wouldn't go anywhere near the lounges in the airport. If he's on a private jet, he'll be driven straight to the plane and all immigration etc will take place at airside.

I would imagine though, Richard, that Rothchilds have been instrumental in its release.

I think this is as close to the apology that Lerner was reputed to be seeking from Ellis. I think it is a signal to Lerner that Rothchild's are now in the driving seat, and that he should feel comfortable dealing with them if he wishes.
