i think Bramble has a court case or a sentencing coming up.
He was acquitted of his sexual assault charges recently.

"It's a new day and a new dawn now for Aston Villa.
And I'm feeling good... 8)
-
Well he hasn't so much as made the bench for the 1st team yet and we are seemingly in the market for a LB so I'd say not very well.
Yes he has.

You're hardly doing a good selling job for potential suitors!
Good point.
I just hope whoever we do sell to, we get them to pay cash instead of cheque.
Any cheque with "James Collins" written on the stub is likely to bounce first before a desperate last ditch attempt to clear.
See what I did there?

Dont doubt his ability but think his attitude and commitment to the team can be questioned. Be glad to get rid.
I doubt his ability. In fact, I doubt his ability more than his commitment.

yanks and bolt here is enough for me, disappointed there doesnt seem to be any open training sessions
id be happy if all i saw of the olympics was the worlds fastest man warming up
You can watch me warm up as long as you're not picky about what I need to be the fastest at...

Come on James.. You know you want to...
3 hours from Birmingham New Street to Newcastle Central on Cross Country trains. I'll meet you at Newcastle central and buy your metro ticket to Stadium of Light. In fact, get off at St Peters cos it's a shorter walk from there to SoL. Bring your missus too, she'll LOVE it up here.

Sod that, I want him to do something "with aplomb".The first effort came on 16 minutes, with the lively Brett Holman playing a throughball to Stephen Ireland who finished with aplomb.
Comedians around the world would KILL for that kind of timing. Awesome

Gazton, don't know if you watched the game this morning, but you can sort of see PL appreciates his talent, arm round the shoulder as soon as he come off.
Didn't see the game but that doesn't surprise me.
I think I posed it in the old thread about a week ago but SI is absolutely loving things at the minute.

I want at some point this season, a commentator to label him "mercurial".
Sod that, I want him to do something "with aplomb". Only footballers seem to do things with aplomb.

Maybe I'm silly, an old romantic. But this football malarkey aint what it used to be....
This is probably a subject for another thread, but football is shite these days.
Want to know how bad it's become? I don't know who our first league game is against and I don't know when we play at St James Park or the Stadium of Light. These two venues are on my doorstep and used to be the first fixtures I looked for when they were released.
Nowadays, I don't give much of a toss.

In recent years, Villa have conducted their incoming transfer activity under a pretty impenetrable veil of secrecy. Confidentiality agreements, etc. There have been occasions when AVFC have lodged a not insignificant amount of money in another club's account as a signal of intent/sincerity and to ensure the confidentiality is maintained.
I accept that it was unfortunate/poor planning that Vlaar was spotted by people on a stadium tour. Perhaps it was unavoidable, perhaps it was poor logistics.
However, you'll note that AVFC said nothing about the meeting until after Ron Vlaar and his agent went public about it. So, if there was a confidentiality agreement in place, then Vlaar/his agent/Feyenoord could be seen to have breached that.
If that's what happened, it's bad faith on their parts regardless of the circumstances of the Villa Park tour.
Maybe AVFC saw that bad faith and thought "all bets are off".
Or maybe they just wanted to wait until they got back from tour but the other parties just couldn't keep their powder dry.

RE - Defoe, I'd rather have him than Carroll if the price wasn't too bad. He's probably got 2/3 good years left in him and he'd be our most lethal finisherWhat more lethal than Bent? Doubt that.
Most lethal finisher PMSL
Definitely got a better shot, better from outside the box and probably about the same at one on ones. Bent has the edge at headers
Defoe is the reigning Lichfield Hide and Seek Champion though...

His name sounds like somebody falling down the stairs.

We have 3 tickets for the mens QF at St James Park which hopefully will be Spain V Brazil can't wait for it also.

I was expecting a call back from a client yesterday. The phone call never happened.
I took a moment to consider my next course of action.
Should I...
1. Sit tight and see if the client calls me today. I know he was on holiday last week and yesterday was his first day back at work.
2. Drop the client a gentle reminder via email?
3. Give the client a call myself?
4. Shout and moan to anybody who will listen using social media tools available to me?
I wonder which of my 4 options are most likely to persuade the client to call me and which is most likely to piss him off royally while making me look thoroughly unprofessional and, perhaps, make him consider whether he wants to continue our business relationship?

I will be more circumspect though with anything else from now on so as not to give some their pound of flesh
Welcome to the club. We had some jackets made.

I'm sure they owe Newcastle far more. In fact Liverpool should just give him back and say forget the xx m we owe you, take him back
The talk up here in Geordieland is that Liverpool don't actually owe anything for the Carroll transfer.
It could be bollocks, but I've heard that it was a "cash" deal which was funded by the "cash" deal of Torres to Chelsea and was the main reason for the on again/ off again nature of that deal on transfer deadline day.
This is what I heard on the day of the transfer, so at least it's not some excellent Geordie revisionism.

Still waiting for the apology from Lerner / Faulkner for the McLeish debacle
Apology? Seriously??
-
You know what, I never even thought of that.. haha.
Thanks, I'll give it a go

Ok, this is a bit deep and sentimental but I have my reasons and you can all go and jump... (I'm getting my retaliation in first, before people call me soppy and ghey hehe)
My missus is a bit depressed at the minute. I want to make a video clip for her, not so much to cheer her up but just to show I'm here to support her.
I want the video to be set to a specific song. I'm not telling you what that song is, cos half of you will scoff at me
The video will be made up of photographs, transitioning into each other throughout the song.
Now, here's the kicker..
During the song, it reaches a crescendo and speeds up. At this point I want the images to "flicker". Is that the word? Basically, I want the transition to speed up LOADS during this crescendo, and then slow down again.
I've looked at bits of free software but can't seem to get my head around finding one that has the ability to speed up the transitions at certain points.
Is Sony Vegas the best way forward or can anyone recommend something else, preferably free? However, I'm not against spending money if absolutely necessary.
Thanks in advance. And "feck off" in advance to people who scoff

While Petrov retains the club captaincy role, RD will wear the armband for the foreseeable.

See ya James.
Don't let the door (bounce before you totally lose the flight of it in the air then desperately try to get a head on it / swing a boot at it hence causing more defensive chaos) hit you on your arse on your way out.
You think hes on his way?
Don't know if anything is done and dusted but I'm pretty sure he won't be here come 1st September..

No airport at Sunderland, but they can just fly in low and chuck them out the door if they want..
