  1. Here is the link from the Villa website. Copy and paste the promo code on that page, then hit the link to the Philadelphia tickets. It will pull up a ticket in the Villa sections. I'm in section 132, most Villa fans are in 132/133 (basically tucked away in the corner).

That link did not work for me. Anyone know what the promo code is? Also I just moved to NYC and I checked-out the NY Villans website. Does not seem to have been updated for quite some time. Anyone have updated information on the group?

  2. By 'bullied' the Nike Exec probably means begged like a little girl. I could definitely see it as RL had just bought the club and Nike might have thrown us a bone because of the off chance that we were going to be the next Chelsea.

I believe the kit manufacturer says a lot about the stature of a club and also business acumen. If we could not get one of the big boys (Nike, Adidas, Puma) to do a deal with us I would have liked us to have tried for up-and-coming/hip companies like Li Ning or UnderArmour. Macron is neither here nor there. I believe UnderArmour signed a massive deal with Spurs. Shows how relevant our club is :(

  3. If QIA buy Villa I will have a heart attack seriously.. It's rumours like this I hate as I can't help but get a little excited even if it turns out bullshit. Just the thought of it happening and seeing Villa spending £100 million+ in the Summer is nice.

Just don't think City and Chelsea are role models. Rather do it the Arsenal and Tottenham way. Starts with bringing in a competent CEO.

  4. Difference is, Spurs have a sustainable wage bill due to season ticket revenue been double ours and having a massive amount of extra leverage in sponsership been a London based club. Hence when Abramovich was trying to buy a club, he turned down the option of buying Villa because we were in Birmingham and "the long-term opportunities were limited". However, he wanted to buy Spurs but they never returned his calls, of course the rest is history.

Well then why did the Sheikhs go for Man City?

  5. If Makoun's wages is the issue, Randy needs to sell the club immediately because it will confirm he has no clue what he is doing. Makoun was not a MON signing, he was only signed last January when our wages issue was well documented.

  6. Not sure how people can judge him so quickly. Dzeko, Drogba, among others took some time to settle into the PL. Look at them now! Even the likes of Downing and A.Young took time to show their potential once they came to us.
