I can't see it happening (thankfully). - Unless he takes a wage drop of around £200k (if he is supposedly on £300k) which I don't think he would - and a transfer fee of £40m then it's a bit of a non runner.
Even if he was to see out his contract and return to us on a free, he would be 32 by then anyway and not much use.
I think unless someone like Newcastle are willing to take a punt on him, I think he will either take the Saudi money or probably just retire.

You'd think a guy who commentated on Robot Wars would be all for technology.
Guy is everything a commentator shouldn't be
I used to think he was a decent commentator years ago, but over the last few years he's turned quite shit and boring.

We have been talking a lot via text and phone calls and in all honesty I really really like her, looks, personality everything so far. But I just don’t know whether to pursue it further with a date etc. She’s keen to go on a date etc and part of me really wants to ... but at the same time I also get a vibe off my ex that despite what she says there will be a chance with a lot of work put in etc and in all honesty I never wanted to lose her. Bearing in mind this is just my hunch and nothing has been said to confirm this.
@leighavfc - What are you waiting for? You only live once, Be happy.
Your ex is the one who's dictated everything by the sounds of things and she's the one who's ended it.
So, if she's sick to the stomach when she see's/discovers you've got a new woman.. so what? Tough! She announced it was over and she's cut the ties and taken you off the tenancy agreement too. Brutal!
So if it turns out that she is eventuslly gutted then it might teach her a lesson to not have played the stupid game she played in the first place. You sound more bothered than she does from what I'm reading.
Your ex made her descision so respect it. Otherwise, taking her back will only show her she can dictate to you again like she has when she's not happy about something else further down the line. She's made her bed, let her lay in it.
Away and fill your boots mate and create new happiness with the new found love if you intend to stick at it. Everything happens for a reason.
But whatever you do, don't use her to then return to your ex 3 weeks later.
Just my opinion though.

The Xmas songs are all over the radio now. Think they started them on the 1st December.
The time of year the leave it off or you're bored and sick of them by 6th December.
I've done well and avoided hearing one Xmas song so far, hopefully it stays that way until atleast the 15th

Wonder what kind of reception he is gonna get Wednesday night
If this thread (over the last few months) is anything to go by then he has nothing to worry about.

This. Yet again in an away game. Worrying. Same as against Forest, we are struggling massively to create chances.
We did okay against Spurs though.

No reason why we can't lift the Europa League Trophy this season while also qualifying for next season's CL with our final league position.
I'd be happy with that.

That souness article was scathing
True, but an honest assessment. Souness has never been his biggest fan though, even when he was at Villa.

Hardly anything in the north west as usual. Kids disappointed again.
Makes you wonder if we have microclimate up here.
My daughter was the same though, went to sleep excited, woke up pissed off with not a drop in sight.

It's one of the reasons when watching Match of the Day, I watch it on iplayer and 15 minutes after it's started!
That way (after each game) you can just zip past bullshit like this and straight onto the next game.
