  1. Out of the main parties, I could not vote for the Tories as I have a social conscience and care about the more vulnerable in society. I could not vote for the wishy washy Lib Dems. Labour at least do not have the "Me, me, me!" attitude of the Tories but they have made so many mistakes that I don't think I could vote for them either. As far as I can see the only honest party are the Official Monster Raving Looney Party. I will vote for them, or if they do not field a candidate, then I will spoil my ballot paper as I did in the council by-election.

well, the post stared well, but then seemed to tail off somewhat.

does wishy washy mean "I don't think they'll get into government, so not worth voting for"?

seems quite an ill-infomed comment to me, that one.

I think you have just proved that your comment is the ill-informed one as you don't seem to understand the English language. Therefore, as I am a nice guy, I will tell you that wishy washy means "lacking in decisiveness; without strength or character; irresolute." That sums up the Lib Dems pretty well in my humble opinion.

    Touche

  2. Preparing to leave the UK... going to my last Villa game as a person who lives in the UK... getting very excited, lots of farewell parties. Left my job and chilled for a while before leaving.. Since, now a permanent fixture in NZ, bought a boat, house by the beach, have a small child, an excellent job and career prospects... have my ups and downs like the disillusioned thread, but on the whole my life is heaps better!!

  3. Few can rival Morrisey lyrically....but one name I'd drop into the hat would be Ray Davies. The Smiths were great.

Ray Davies was excellent I saw The Kinks live at the AVLC back in the early nineties and he was still excellent.

  4. A list I read years ago included Sandie Shaw, The Sex Pistols, The Rolling Stones, The Cure, The New York Dolls, The Kinks, The Beatles, T. Rex, Buzzcocks, and David Bowie.

  5. I'd say The Cure were more influential than the Smiths, The Cure have been around since 1976 until now, The Smith only formed in 82 and spent 5 years together.

    The Cure > The Smiths.

  6. Not really Ian, the facts are the facts and you are mearly speculating on figures...

The fact that in the UK labour popularity is down the toilet and even in NZ labour have gone, times are looking good.

NB. I don't see where I abused you, you said that the conservatives would make this more expensive, how could you possibly know this, considering there are no figures released, hence you must have pulled that assumption from somewhere, I enquired as to whether it was from your arse?

  7. If you think all men are bastards, does that make you a lesbian?

Nope, just a misandronist and a bigot.

    T'was a joke Sir...

Removal of a sense of humor may well be a condition for immigration to New Zealand...

Not really, my responce was a joke.. seems everyone else has had a sense of humour bypass..
