Played a bit of open G tuning tonight on my guitar, nothing new there really, until the Youtube fella said, " Flatten the B string just a touch". Sounds absolutely ace.

Emails that start with "Good Morning". Sometimes abbreviated to 'GM'.

I've had some palpitations for the last few days but it has been exactly in line in when I've been noticing the low rate.
I'm going to the cardiologist on Wednesday.
Shame Ahameed doesn't post here anymore, he is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, will be a Consultant by now. He would have given the best advice. He was an angry b*st*rd though and did not like being tickled.
Hope there's nothing going on with the old ticker.

Nah. You're fit, like you say. Mine is typically between 40 and 50, too.
Get it checked out anyway Stefan, there are some nasty arrhythmias that'll give you a pulse down there. No other symptoms??? If you have any chest pain, shortness of breath, lethargy, I should go and see a Dr.
But ye, you're probably fit like Mike says.

Did anyone find, that when they gave up meat they lost body fat? My wife has just made another comment at me that ive lost weight around my stomach, and hips. I weighed myself the other week, and I was 13.5 just like I was when I was eating meat. My appetite is still strong, but I'm eating much better these days in terms of healthier food.
Ye I lost like a layer of fat from under my skin all over my body. I was just generally more thin. I didn't, and don't, particularly like it though.

I have been rumbled. Did the permanent erection give it away?

Trainers, with lovely gel cushioned soles, because my bones are so close to the surface it hurts when I walk. If not, ballet shoes.

I've been vegetarian for 30 years now, and have drifted into a vegan diet without really trying, or consciously thinking that it was a vegan diet I had. The smells from meat and dairy really put me off putting them in my mouth, plus the industries themselves are off putting. It's difficult to avoid meat and dairy, with all the by-products etc, difficult to live an everyday life without rubbing shoulders with death and misery. Diet-wise it wasn't too difficult to stop eating meat and dairy once I had committed to the ethics of it all. I also started seeing meat as muscle, subcutaneous tissue and skin, for example looking at a slice of bacon. Ye it all tasted nice but felt very wrong, eating my fellow mammals. I don't preach about vegetarianism/veganism, but I do get a lot of stick when refusing to eat meat etc.

On a similar theme, 'pre-aged' guitars. Brand new, very expensive, but artificially distressed to look like they've had years of abuse.
Totally agree, it's sad. The only thing about it is that it takes a lot of skill to 'age' them, and some are pretty realistic.
I bought a Les Paul Traditional in Texas and I will never clean it, patina man, patina!

I lived in Clapham for two years 1981-1982. Lived in a squat and worked in the West End, in the wine trade. I would do it all again tomorrow, and if I could afford it I would probably live there now.

No problems so far. I just assume that at this stage of life things are more likely to get worse than get better.
Lost my virginity this week. Got the rectal exam due to possible prostatitis. My farts are a good fifth lower now.

For Bickster.
Earliest memory for me is my Mum letting us kids into the front room (we were never allowed in there, apart from Christmas/special occasions) to watch The Beatles perform 'I Want To Hold Your Hand'' on 'Thank Your Lucky Stars'. I think.

Someone called me Charlie once....once.

'Irregardless.' What does that actually mean? OK, I understand 'normalcy' and the need to have their own word for something that there is already a word for, but I've heard Americans on two or three occasions say 'irregardless'. Do they mean 'regardless' or do they mean 'with regard to' ? (as in a double negative word). I really don't get 'irregardless'.

People who tell me: "I haven't slept for a week", or; I haven't eaten or drunk anything for a week". Is that right sir?, you really are superhuman.

Bought myself a Fender Blues Junior II yesterday. 15 watts of pure valve lurve. I wasn't sure how my LP would feel going through it, but it is a monster.

Watched the Jamie Carragher spitting incident. What kind of a man spits in a young girl's face?

How do they treat that? Warfarin?
Or Heparin, or there are a few new anti-coagulants that don't require the kind of monitoring that Warfarin does. Most places use these now.

I have multiple blood clots in my lung. Not going anywhere any time soon.
Damn Chindie. Take it easy. Thank goodness you went to hospital when you did.
-
Good news Chindie. Expect you will have a lung scan later to rule out a clot. Hopefully it's a bit of an infection that can be cleared up. Not surprised you went straight to Resus. Get well soon old chap.
-
Seek help Chindie. Even if it is 'just' a chest infection, you will need antibiotics.

If it's that bad go to A&E Chindie. Together with the aching leg you are right it screams Pulmonary Embolism. If I triaged you, you would be in the immediate stream with your symptoms and history.

I think he might be saying that when you get through it you feel strong. I dunno, but my reaction was similar to those expressed.

Went through a brief period of having the 3 lower strings tuned to D major, and the 3 higher strings tuned to G major. You'd have loved it
