Everyone talking about Gibsons, Next year is my 40th birthday and it'll come just after my annual bonus, I'm hoping to have enough tucked away that I'll be able to buy a 50's gold top Les Paul, it'll come to around £2.5k, that'll be my once in a lifetime purchase on a guitar

I tell you what, Gibsons have never really been my thing, but I do love a goldtop LP.

  2. I feel like I could say this for every game from now until the end of the season (and rightly so), but a win would be huge here.

Spurs don't play next weekend (game v Chelsea away postponed, so even then it's not an easy game being a derby and all). Win this and we open up a 5 point gap and put more pressure on them.

  3. If anything, this game has shown that we really don't yet have the squad to compete on all fronts just yet. It was still a strong team that we had out, but we only need 1 or 2 changes to our strongest XI and you start to see the cracks appearing.

We dealt with the loss of Mings & Buendia at the start of the season quite well. We then managed to keep the same starting XI for a while and we looked brilliant. I think the loss of Digne gave us a little bit of a wobble, but losing Kamara over Xmas, then Pau and now Konsa...it's going to have an effect.

Also, to be honest, only one team looked like they really wanted to progress in this competition last night.

    PLAY ON YOU MUGGS!! FFS!

This has been an issue all season actually, even when we're doing well. Playing to the whistle is the most basic of all basics and yet we so often just stop playing because we're expecting the whistle and end up way out of position.

Amazon are definitely turning the screw a bit now they have the monopoly. The same day and next morning deliveries which used to be free are now an extra £1.99 if you want them. They put the annual fee up about 20% a year or so back. Now the ads on the Prime Video stuff.

The greed makes me so angry.

On a related theme, Mark Zuckerberg the other day was in Washington giving a heartfelt apology to parents who had lost their kids in one way or another to extremism on social media. He’s one of the  richest people on the planet, and later that day revealed billions of profits. How about spending some of your billions of wealth on more moderators to make the platform safer? Just a thought.

I'm sure Amazon are in the top 5 highest grossing companies in the world too (top 10 at the very least). Absolutely not needed.

  6. I don't know if I'm late to this news, so apologies if it's already been mentioned on here, but I fire up Amazon Prime today and we get a notification to say that they're adding adverts onto movies & TV shows and I have to pay an extra £2.99 per month (on top of what I already pay) to get rid of them.

What the ****? Robbing words removed.

  7. Decent card last night, but the main event did have me thinking....this "downed opponent" rule where you can't kick/knee to the head when they have a hand on the ground reaaalllllly needs to change. You can be in a terrible position defensively, and yet all you have to do to give you opponent less options is stick your hand on the ground.

  8. Been watching some of the Studio Ghibli films that I hadn't seen. Latest one was "When Marnie Was There".

Fantastic film but bloody hell, another punch to the gut 😪

  9. Sank a good few hours into Infinite Wealth now. I **** love it. They've made some real improvements to the combat (which I did actually like in Yakuza 7). I've not gotten too far in the story just yet as the new map is a joy to explore.

Going to be a looong time until I play it, similar to the time it took me to play LAD 7 I guess.

Be nice to pick up Gaiden in a sale down the line, and then move on to LAD 8 after...maybe next year?

Definitely play Gaiden first, I would say. I think that some of the stuff in this one won't quite have the same impact otherwise.

  10. If they do get found guilty, it'll be a completely empty punishment similar to what Saracens got in Premiership Rugby when they got found guilty of salary cap breaches. Relegate them to the Championship but allow them to keep most of their squad and watch them walk it for a season and come straight back up, carrying on as usual. Big players will no doubt leave, but they'd likely still be able to keep hold of enough to absolutely piss the division.

Send them to the bottom of the pyramid please.
