before or during his medical? Laughable!!!He has deleted his villa pix off his instagram account apparantly

Taking into account how long LFC took to pay the Downing fee by installments I say we are more than justified in demanding full payment
-
the been were quoting WM so they're the ones with egg on their facesWhat? I am confused.! Usually when organisations like the beeb report a move, it happens. Something odd is happening but I will take it. Even if he ends up staying for only 1 more season that will be a lot better.

We had too many dicks last season

More games probably depend on whether we are up for the charity shield

He was piss poor today - the worst player on the pitch, touch was diabolical and didn't ever look to pass the ball forwards, back to the low standards he set himself prior to Sherwood's arrival.
worse than N'Zogbia and Bacuna? no chance

Man City - unlikely they bought Boney as a back-up striker. (10%)
Liverpool - Balotelli is a fail so they may well be in for him but a non-champions league club splash that kind of money? (20%)
Arsenal - possibility but may not be perceived to be good enough on the floor for them (a wrong perception i might add). (30% chance)
Man Utd - another possible depends if Van Gaal likes him or not, would love Ashley's crosses that's for sure and their strikers aren't great/injury prone.(30% chance)
Chelsea - very possible he's better than any of their back-up strikers and would fit the Mourinho mould. (60%)
PSG - another very possible with Ibrahimovic leaving , they need a replacement striker. And France is next to Belgium (50%)
Atletico - they need a striker too, Mandzukic is just not that great. As per Liverpool cost maybe an issue. (10%)
Real Madrid - if Chicharito is good enough for them then Benteke most certainly is. If Chicharito goes they could come in for Benteke as back up. I don't see it mind (5%)
**Percentages based on where he would go if he were to leave.
That adds up to 215%
Seriously? Each possibility is rated out of 100%

Anyone who says going to Liverpool is going sideways is deluded imo. That being said he could do so much better
That is your opinion, but we could be playing in all of the same competitions as them next season so how is moving there a step up?

Yes I remember the 6-1. i don't think Ipswich made a tackle all game.
much the same as us yesterday.

I haven't even really seen him being criticized for yesterday. Most people just seem to be saying that it was a bad day at the office and that they hope he learns from his mistakes.
Exactly. That's literally all it is.
I said numerous times go ahead, I just find it strange that people want to. I'd much rather focus on the brilliant job he's done and what we might be able to achieve with him for the future.
Again, which is ironic because that's mainly what people were doing, despite pointing out the negatives of yesterday's game, until you threw your toys out of the pram and decided we weren't allowed to say anything bad about the manager after we got humped 6-1
I asked why you'd want to be critical? Same thing i'd ask if people were being critical of benteke, grealish, delph or cleverly after yesterdays game.
6 - 1.
SIX - ONE
3 minute hat-trick maybe?
p.s. I think Sherwood has done an incredible job so far and long may it continue.
On 29th April 1978 we beat FA Cup finalists Ipswich Town 6-1 at Villa Park. The following week on 6th May Ipswich beat Arsenal 1-0 to win the cup. Just saying.

Apparently Gil now works in the club shop.
He was spotted yesterday stocking some away shirts in one of the isles.
The isle of Man or the isle of Wight

Strange feeling on this one. I wanted him gone, I am glad he has gone but I so badly wanted him to do well here, and I genuinely liked him, that I do feel sad about how it has all turned out. I had such high hopes for us under him and think he has left behind a good squad so for that and for always bigging up this club I thank him and genuinely wish him well in the future.
This is how I felt when I heard the news., but you've put it better than I could.

Grant Holt, Luna and Sylla have arguably contributed more in a Villa season, than Bennett.
Grant Holt hardly played any wotrhwhile contribution, Luna couldn't defend an argument and Sylla couldn't pass information.

I've seen far ,far worse than Joe Bennet playing for Villa.
Who?
Nigel Callaghan, Didier Agathe, Carlton Cole, Grant Holt, Tony Moon, Yacouba Sylla,

how many saves did Guzan have to make, not manyThing is though people mistake a clean sheet for a solid defence
There were two specific occasions I can recall last night where they had 3/4 attackers bearing down on 1/2 defenders, we were just lucky that they had frazier Campbell on the pitch with his heavy touches otherwise we'd have conceded at least one
This is not the basis of a solid defence, not imo

Villa have not lost in 30 days, 4 unbeaten, 12th in the league 4 points off 7th,
Stats dont lie
Also 6 of those 9 games where against teams in the top 8 last season, only QPR did we not get something when we was favourites
No stats don't lie.
4 goals in 10 games.
9 games without a win before tonight.
4 games without defeat, 3 of them away, 6 points only 2 goals conceded with our 1st choice centre halves missing. Stats do lie but I don;t give a damn, my glass is half full.

I'd like us to bid for Austin and Ings and ditch Gabby and Weimann
wouldn't be able to afford either!! I know Ings hasn't signed a new deal yet but probably will..
Need to look towards foreign leagues (for a goalscorer) similar to Newcastle with Ayoze and West Ham with Sakho!! Someone banging them in maybe the French, Dutch or Spainish 2nd Divisions (like the two i mentioned did last season)
Or take a punt on someone like Calum Wilson (Bournemouth) or Igor Vetokele (Charlton) although those two will cost over £5mil a piece as well..
Michiel Kramer of Ado Den Haag is banging them in this season and maybe one to watch, 10 already.. 6ft 5in and 25 years old.
I think less than 3 million will get Ings and if we forget about signing Cleverley we have another 7.5 t put towards buying Austin.

I reckon he won't play this year and be off next year. And then play 30 odd games for somebody else and look really good. And we will be stuck with Baker and Clark until the end of time itself.
Not a lot of fun in your factory is there.

Must be kicking himself for signing that new contract.
Had options to move to more stable and currently more attractive clubs than us too.
Who?

Hutton back to his best with Scotland lol
Is he allowed an off match? For all intents and purposes he's been excellent for Scotland for quite some time and great for us so far this season.
Give him his one eh.
I couldn't give a toss how he performs for the jocks. He can have all his bad games for them and continue to perform for us.
-
Well I can live with that as it's the lesser teams we have to beat to stay out of any relegation fight
There was some really nice interplay between him and Westwood today, I'm really looking forward to seeing how they do against lesser sides. Some nice one touch stuff, that we didn't see much of last year with players of lesser quality around Westwood.
Probably why he's out the England set up, Great against San Marino and Estonia missing against Spain and Holland, let's not mention Argentina, Brazil, Germany... -
When Roy Keane was sunbathing on the beach the tide wouldn't come in

Who would ya replace him for, Richardson? Or would it mean dropping Westwood or Cleverley, anyway it's nice to have these problems compared to last season, replacing good players with shite, can't wait to see the beast back in action.
Probably Weimann.
Use Gabby as an impact sub with is pace in the latter part of games
