I'm assuming if Terry signs then Bruce will be staying. So if he doesn't sign then Bruce will be going. A simplistic fellow I am.

Have I entered the twilight zone or summat, the JT thread is full off musings about having him as interim manager. Now I'm reading Sherwood was ok and wasn't given a chance.
Christ on a bike
You don't want Henry cos he's not experienced enough, yet he probably has more coaching experience than the two of them put together.
Rodgers or Rafa, not interested in anyone else. And preferably before Blackburn. Now I'm definitely in the twighlight zone

I've said this for a long time - Howe is the man we should break the bank for - love his attitude, humility and approach to the game, he is everything I want from a villa manager - we should at very least test his resolve
Got homesick at Burnley, or whatever reason he gave and went back to Bournemouth. Can't afford that to happen, I think he's happy at Bournemouth and wants to do well with them. There's only 3 choices for me and I'm only including people I've heard of.
Rodgers, Rafa and Villas-Boas.
Too big for Dean Smith I think, plus I believe he thinks he can get promotion with Brentford.

Well so much for my He'll be gone by page 2160 guess. This is probably the only ideal time during a season to change your manager. They've got time to settle in, work with some of the players and we can't have that many away on international duty surely.
Absolutely no point in waiting 3 or 4 more games, before you know it it's Xmas and the window will be opening. I have nothing against Bruce but it's not working, it's time for a change and we can't afford to spend another season in this bloody league

Good luck in central defence Tammy, it's always good to try new things

Excellent new thread, some interesting comments coming I think

Surprised this topic hasn't been moved to Other Football yet

This has happened 3 or 4 times in 12 months. He admitted he should have "freshened it up" after Blues at home (we lost at Fulham) and after wolves (lost at home to qpr), and has said a couple of times that he'd scrutinise himself after the above errors and for picking someone who wasn't fit/fresh ( I assumed it was Terry or Snodgrass last year).
We're 6 games into the league and he's admitted he still hasn't learnt from his own mistakes.
He's a **** fraud stealing a living. He's criminally mismanaged the team this summer. Letting Elphick go before a replacement was secured was absolute insanity
Yes, if he thinks Jedinak is a suitable full time replacement as centre back then he has deffo lost his marbles. Not a massive fan of Elphick but at least he was a centre back.

So he won't get to 3000 pages then!
I doubt he'll reach 2160 to be honest

Can't see it being Dean Smith, we will go for a Box Office appointment. Whether that would be the correct decision is not for me to say.
They probably had someone lined up when they took over but they were just being polite to Steve Bruce. He ain't stupid, he knew he was on borrowed time from day one and when you are on borrowed time you tend to not give a monkeys.

Just watched his post match interview with AVTV. At one point he said some of his players mustn't have been fit. FFS you picked em. I think he knows summat is going on behind the scenes, struggling to get his words out. Think he will deffo be gone in next few days.

Once the away fans turn there's no coming back. Think he'll be gone by tomorrow and wouldn't be surprised if someone is already lined up. Rafa or Rodgers I'd be happy with.

I can't see the new owners not giving the new CEO his first job to do.

He is whatever Steve Bruce wants him to be!
Drives me up the wall, defenders are specialist positions. Unless he's playing 3 at the back then he might need one with experience of right/left back. In. Back four it should be Tuanzebe with Chester at centre back until Terry returns which would be very nice

The latter.
We'll he ain't a right back

I thought Tuanzebe was supposed to be a centre back, or am I being stupid

It's so weird when people do things different handed.
Right footed, plays golf left handed, wonder how he plays snooker?
Probably does summat with the pink and the brown, he just needs a good bridge

Hopefully this appointment puts the talk of Rafa to bed as I cannot see what he brings more than Moyes or Allardyce myself....
i wonder where Luke Organ fits into all this?
He'll slip in somewhere

My head says they will wait until after the Sheffield game to pull the trigger. Hopefully they already have someone else lined up or at least a plan of action. If Allardyce turns up then I'm not watching any sort of football again.
The only problem is if we beat Sheffield then it's difficult to justify sacking a manager averaging 2 points per game. They would only do that if they have replacement already lined up.
