This is why you don’t rest players in big games like this

I can't stand City but Arteta's antics sour me even worse.
Their fans are big babies too

I could cry with joy. So proud of them.

Get in

Emery master class today so far

I’ll cry if we lose this. We really don’t deserve to. Better team second half .

I'll retract my previous statement: it's definitely the best I've seen him play, today.
He’s just done a job for us. Big part of the team performance today.

One of the best performances I've seen of him for Villa. If he's a problem player, it's not today.
Yeah can’t fault him even if he is very awkward.

Arsenal seem very sloppy this half

Zaniola so frustrating but he’s done a job today but that’s all I’ll say

We need to consider the Lille game and get some subs on.
I wouldn’t even be thinking about that. We are still in this game .

Started off very well . Seem more settled.

I think we’ve done well . Different gravy at home Arsenal and although we’ve been hanging on at times we’ve threatened to score too.

Happy enough with the team, not much else we can do in the circumstances

I think Willie will probably aim him at the gold cup instead of Aintree.
Possibly but his number one 3 miler has already walloped him twIce , so you’d think he’d go for another national with him. He’s such a good horse they could do anything with him
-
Obviously he’s got to do it again next year to emulate Tiger Roll but I think I Am Maximus is a freak of an horse and better than Tiger. That was a strong Grand National yesterday and it’s turning into a more classy race . The way he hit the line was unreal and he could have kept going and going. He finished the race stronger than Tiger did in his two nationals also carrying more weight. He’s very diverse in distance too, he’s won some good races at less than 3m , and he’s good at extreme distances. The engine on him is huge .

Definitely. A lot of the danger and unpredictability is gone out of it. It's just another race now to be honest.
Thank god it has. Still wouldn’t say it just another race now, but it’s a lot safer and rightly so.

Because we are playing a team who are much better than us, who have less injuries, a bigger squad, are fighting for the title, are at home and have had more rest time.
A draw would be an unexpected surprise.
I get we need to be realistic but I find it amusing how we get downplayed by our own fans sometimes . We’ll still have a good team down there tomorrow which is capable of getting something . We’ve beat them once this season and they are only 11 points in front of us, and let’s be honest the gap should be smaller .

I fancied spurs to get turned over today or at best get a point which would have been a good result up there anyway.

I almost think that late goal was a blessing in disguise. We have to go there and play now. You've got to assume that they likely score atleast 2.
Definitely mate . Both teams will score it’s just a matter of who gets the most , but we do have an advantage being 1 up already. People go on about their home crowd, well we’ve played a few tricky away games already this season so we have nothing to fear.

Anyone confident of getting anything from the game?
Of course . Why shouldn’t we?
-
Worry about Lille next week. There’s go there with the intent we can get something. Yes they are a better team and we are away but let’s go there and try and hurt them. Spurs have a tough game today.
-
Always felt the Doug Ellis stand is too far back from the pitch . Could have added a few more rows of seats in that stand if they had come in a bit more.

Good atmosphere yesterday. Suprised Lille didn't sell both the upper and lower tier. Have we given up on announcing the attendance now?
