I notice Robbie Keane was back today for Spurs came on and played the last 15 minutes or so, Defoe was awful, so I'm thinking of we don't go for Bent or if we do and fail and Spurs sign him then surely Defoe or Keane will leave and well Keane is Vice Captain so I'm guessing Defoe will be leaving. TBH even though Keane is captain of my National Side and can perform on occasions I'd rather see Defoe, just a thought.

I think all transfer threads should be locked until the 1st of Feb so we can't get disappointed!

I think us Villa fans need to make some public noise, all these stories about what "might" happen are stringing us along IMO, we can't keep waiting in HOPE that something will happen, we need to apply pressure where ever we can, i.e. release some press statements through the fans organisations and come saturday try and get as many people as possible at Villa park and try and get some press down there and show Ellis that we'r not happy to sit by and wait for him to stop messing around, we want him to do everything possible to get a deal done ASAP. We can all talk about what might happen but we need to speak in numbers and get attention, no??

I won't have access to the net for the rest of the day so I just pray that by the time I come back on here, MON will be installed and Lerner will have made a bid and that auld word removed will have accepted it.

One thing I didn't agree with Colley about is he said MON wouldn't make a decision this quick, if we are to believe the reports MON was approached by AVIL weeks ago and I'm sure MON will want to bring players in before the start of the season so I think if he has assurances that Ellis is going he will come sooner rather than later to give him a chance line up players and get agreements in place so as soon as the takeover takes place he can sign his targets. Did anyone see the reports on SSN that Boro are after Steed Malbranque!!! I didn't realise he is only 26 too
