  1. Does MON really have money to spend though I mean how do we really know Randy will give him money???
  2. Warnock bid £10 million MON or whatever it takes
  3. General I raised this last year but don't think you ever found out the issue. I just got an email from the club saying that the new jersey was available and I thought yea I'll treat myself and support the club and buy the new jersey. I clicked in and saw that it was from £45 and thought "thats not bad" then I selected Euro pricing and it said €67 !!!!!! At todays exchange rate £45 is €52.20 how can the club explain the extra €14.80?
  4. Sorry slightly OT but does anyone know where Villa are styaing in Malaga? I'm heading over Monday and want to try and get to see some of the players, is it where the launch of the jersey was yesterday? anyone know the name of the hotel or where they are training?
  5. Sorry General to ask again but I'm flying out to Malaga tomorrow night/Monday Morning and might not have access to the net when I get there, as an Irish Villa fan I don't get to see the Club I love in action as much as I would like so I'm really looking forward to seeing Villa in action next week in Malag. Have you found out if there is any open training sessions or can you tell me where the base camp is? Thanks Irish1
  6. Hi General, Any update on opene training sessions in Malaga, or can you tell us where the teams base is? Thanks
  7. Hi General, I'm heading to on holiday to Malaga on the 27th from Ireland and have my tickets booked for our second game in the Peace Cup but I was wondering if there will be any open training sessions or if you can tell me where Villa's base in Malaga is?
  8. General I asked this before and searched back to see if you found an answer if you did and I missed it apologies. I want to purchase the Villa away long sleeve jersey but the online club shop shows it at £48 or €74 but £48 sterling is equal to €61 at current exchange rates?? Can you explain the extra €13 charge?
  9. Umm so weird the shop has removed the jersey now use short link please
  10. General I know your looking into the price and currency difference on jerseys but kinda on that subject, I was doing a google for a pic of our new Away Jersey to show the Girlfiriend what it looked like (she loved it btw) and I found a USA site selling it? How is that some online store in the US is selling but our own online club shop isn't? Thanks
  11. General any update on the Euro price of Jerseys on the club shop?
  12. General a fellow poster started a thread with the post quoted below, I just checked the shop as I was hoping to Purchase the Away Jersey when it comes available but the sterling cost is £45 but the Euro Price is €69 but at the current exchange rate it should be €57. Its anotehr €11 for Delivery to Ireland this seems excessive to say the least General? Thanks
  13. Hi General, I asked you last year if the club had any plans to target the Irish market, and you said plans were underway. There is a very large group of Villa Fans from Ireland, GOD (aka Paul McGrath) possibly could be used for marketing, the Irish have a very great fondness for McGrath for both his Irish playing days and also his Villa playing days and obviously Martin O'Neil is Irish too So my question Basically is have you got any update on anything that might target the Irish market?
  14. General we do all really really appreciate the way Aston Villa has approved under the new ownership team and we all appreciate the time and effort to put to answering our questions. However you have to understand that fans want to see promises fulfilled and promises were made about Villa signing top classes players and yet the transfer window has seen our squad lose more than it gained i.e. Cahill leaving and Routlidge signing. MON has said in his statment that he made several enquiries about players the problem is us fans don't know any of them, now thats a good thing in that the clubs business is kept private but it doesn't help fans, I mean the one player we were linked with over an over signed for Portsmouth. Perhaps a bit more information about what MON is trying to do would be a good thing for the fans. If we get a Europe place the January transfer window will be soon forgotten however if we pick up injuries and finish 9th or 10th and MON comes out to every press conference talking about our small squad I think fans will have just reason to feel annoyed at least. Just giving some feedback General keep up the great work
  15. Sorry for the double post I just thought my post might have got lost among all the comments on attendance. Hi General, Irish Villa fan here, I was just wondering if you knew if the Marketing people at Villa park had any plans to target the Irish market, Sunderland have exploited it very well since Keane took over facilitating Irish fans in making trips to Home games. I remember going to see Villa play in a tourament in Dublin during O'Leary's time in charge they played leeds in it, it was during pre-season, a game or two in Ireland during pre-season is a great way of attracting new fans. Its just I know that Villa have a huge following in Ireland and with the Celtic Tiger the Irish have a lot of disposable income and I know Sunderland are targeting that and gets plane and bus loads over each weekend, with cheap Ryanair flight's into Birmingham Villa Park is very accessible and I think with a bit of intuitive marketing Villa could build a strong fan base here.

  17. Someone posted this on an Irish board but I think its a very good point:
  18. Preston have signed Wayne Henderson from Brighton for an initial £150,000 rising to £200,000, nice profit they made out of us there, should never have been sold, ahhhhhhhhhhhh!
  19. Don't want Moloney if we were to go after a Celtic player I think it should be McGeady, although his good displays this year have probably made him expenisve
  20. perhaps haven'tseen him play enough, infact your propably right swap Bardsley for Hughes
  21. If we don't sign anyone else how about: -------------------Sorresen--------------------- Hughes------Mellberg----Cahill-------------Barry -----------------McCann-------------------- Young-------Petrov----Davis--------------Gabby -----------------Carew----------------------- -------------------Sorresen--------------------- Hughes------Mellberg----Cahill-------------Bouma -----------------McCann-------------------- Young-------Petrov----Barry--------------Gabby -----------------Carew-----------------------
  22. I have a feeling (thats all it is btw) that Alan Smith may well be a Villa player if not in Jan then in the summer.
