  1. Well first thing you should do is get swype. Well download barcode scanner from the market and then use it on the swype barcode posted a few pages back in this thread. I'd also get advanced task killer too. Locale is another must have app.

What is locale? Typed it in on the market and loads of things came up.

  2. They're Androids - they're all fab.

After much deliberation, I went for the Xperia X10 in white. Goodbye iPhone and Blackberry. It was mainly for vanity reasons - I just preferred the look of it. The screen is much bigger, which make it ideal when viewing websites. The camera is 8.1mpx which is delightful for taking pictures.

The Desire and Xperia are both great phones. We all win.

  3. £30m for James Milner!

    :crylaugh:

This beautiful game of ours is being ruined. However, we have to get on with it. We could really build a squad with that money and get a very decent replacement. Shame Delph got injured because I would have given him the job of filling the void.

I'd sell for that kind of money. Wakey wakey now, everyone. Thirty Million Quid for James Milner. That's more than what Manchester United paid for Wayne Rooney.

  4. As for Milner; if they offer £30m, I'll personally drive down the M6, pick him up, and drive back up again to drop him off at Eastlands.

He's a great player, had a fantastic season, but wakey wakey, lets get real. This was a player 50% of people on this board were slating 15 months ago. Couldn't beat a man, delivery is poor, no pace etc. He was the Stewart Downing of last season. I personally wasn't one of them. I've said from very early on in his Villa career he was a Man Utd player waiting to happen. He should wait for that call from Sir Alex, not Roberto.

However, saying that, I'm just not sure who we could possibly get to replace him. But it's not my job to know that. But lets get a grip on perspective here, £25m+m is ridiculous for James Milner, when arguably the best striker in the world has just signed for Barcelona for £34.5m today.

This whole incident, amongst others, is why I'm walking away from VP though (Giving up ST). Football just isn't the game I fell in love with. The Premiership bores me. I love Villa, but I don't support them for the glory - I'd support my local team if I wanted that. They're the club of my birth and I love them. But my gosh, I preferred it when we were shit - and proud of it too! Barry was different, he was here for years, and I won't say a bad word. I remember watching him as a young kid at Upton Park all those years ago, with my dad turning to me and telling me he was the new McGrath. That's what Villa is to me - loving players that turn up for you week in week out, for years on end. Players are going as quick as they are coming these days.

If Milner goes, it signals a worrying future for Villa. It really shows were potentially turning into a feeder club. Gareth leaving was completely different; he deserved to make his own decision really and was a loyal servant to us - if not a prat at the end. James going would be worrying and would send out all the wrong signals.

  5. General,

I've never actually sent you a message before because I've never felt the need to voice any concern.

However, I was on the official train service on Sunday (Thomas Cook) and I have to say if we get to Wembley again, I won't be going through the club whatsoever.

Having got up from Manchester at 6.45am to travel down to the Midlands for a train that was due to arrive at 9am, I'm disgusted at the fact that it didn't show up until 12pm. We got to Wembley at approximately 2:10pm, leaving no time to actually have a look around the surrounding area/stadium - one of which we haven't ever visited.

Now I don't blame you personally, these things happen, but we should surely be compensated with something - and I'm not talking about the free cup of tea that was offered on board (of which I didn't take up).

I'm a 23 year old adult, but there were people who were in their 60's boarding that train and they were made to stand in the cold and rain. A pub was opened for an hour or so but we were asked to leave because the train was arriving at 10.10am - it showed up at 12pm. I had a woman of whom I didn't know in tears next to me, and all round it just wasn't a pleasant experience.

To top things off, I didn't get a seat on the return journey because people took it amongst themselves to get on a train that didn't belong to them. Now I know you can't help that, but when I asked one of the conductors on the train to carry out a ticket search I was simply ignored. I paid nearly £40 for that ticket and was delayed by nearly 3 hours and didn't get a seat on the journey home.

I'm sorry, but the performance of the club train, the club staff, and Thomas Cook itself was as much a farce as Phil Dowd's performance.

I don't expect you to do anything, because we've paid our money, we don't have a leg to stand on. I am looking into the possibility of taking this further though, especially for those elderly people I had to witness struggle in the damp and cold. I'm not fighting this for myself, I'm fighting it for them too.

    It was a disgrace.

    Kind regards,

    Jas

  6. Does anyone know which MWay the coaches will take ? I want to time my journey to drive past them so my son can see the fleet. Was thinking of leaving about 9ish.

Anyone else took the expensive but simple option of parking at the Stadium ?

Will there be official parking at the stadium? If anyone can let me know i will appreciate. If so, any ideas how much?

  7. One of the worst players I have ever watched play football. Hes a shit Berbatov, who I also think is shockingly bad.

    :crylaugh:

People that talk about IBRA like this have only ever watched him play for Sweden on the BBC and ITV.

Tune in to a few Barcelona games, they're on SKY regular these days :) If you don't have SKY, I'm sure the pub will have them on. :)

Like I said before in this thread - good? Please. World Class!!

  8. Spurs have just tied up a deal for a defensive midfielder - the first fruits of our new partnership arrangement with the Brazilian club Internacional.

His name is Sandro - Brazil's U-20 captain and now recently capped for their senior squad. Not sure of the fee - around 7m maybe, but that figure is yet to be confirmed. He should be at the Lane to watch our game against Wolves.

Of course it remains to be seen how quickly (or not) he is brought into the first team matchday squad and how well he'll adapt to the Prem.

What the feck happened to this then? Them COYS ITKers have a 100%, faultless, perfect record on matters like this I thought.

Maybe he's stuck with 'the real' Tuncay (who we had signed according to them) in the Twilight zone.

Like Glaston said, he was at the game against Wolves! :winkold:
