@GarethRDR thanks for the info though I should have mentioned I play the Player Career mode rather than Manager so I don't have to deal with all that. Will bear in mind if I ever venture over to that mode though.
Sadly player career is possibly bugged even worse than manager. The match day objectives are often impossible, especially if you are coming on as a substitute. As a game mode it has had the least attention of them all I think.

More 18 year olds being motivated to get out and vote could be a byproduct of this national service malarkey. I have an 18 year old son, who was at a friend's bday party yesterday. They were apparently all mortified at the idea of national service. A bunch more anti Tory votes were born.
Where I am has been a safe Tory seat forever. Last election they had a 12k more with 33k votes. However lab and lib dem split the opposition and had 27k votes between them. A bit of tactical voting, some motivated teens and the national average swing away from the Tories and, well, you never know. Fingers crossed.

I thought that was a super close fight last night and have watched it back again this morning. I have no problem with the result, at the end last night I wasn't sure who's hand was going to be raised but personally I gave it to Usyk based on the 10 8 round. I don't know how Fury wins a rematch. I don't think there is a better version of him at this stage of his career. He was fit and strong and resilient and still couldn't handle Usyk.
Usyk is remarkable though. He took some real punishment to the body, but fought to the end like his tank was still full. At times he looked tiny in the ring next to Fury, but in the end he was the bigger man. His mental strength is world class.

I'm happy city scored but how come the lines were not drawn in? Looked very close to offside didn't it?

One of my pet hates is when journalists ask a stupidly long question like that.
So glad it's not just me. The question normally has the answer in it as well if they go on for long enough. It gives the interviewee nowhere to go.

Not directly Blues related, but Troy Deeney might have the biggest disparity between ego (Rates himself alongside Aguero and the best ever strikers in the Premier League) and actual footballing ability (Alright bottom half Prem striker) of any footballer
I had to Google that unforgettable moment to work out what he was on about. However for non Villa related stuff there are loads of moments and matches that live long in the memory before I'm going to get to a Watford Vs Leicester game. Liverpool's come back in the champions league final was a pretty big deal. Gazza having a cry on the pitch. Beckham's free kick Vs Greece. The Roberto Carlos outside of the foot free kick that broke physics. The Ronald Koeman free kick that got Graham Taylor fired. I'm just never going to get to Troy Deeney for Watford.

I’m sure he made more money in his short career than most ordinary people do in their lifetime.
35k per week and he was 4 seasons with us (or on loan) + what he made before at Brugge + this year at stoke = decent earnings. Not big PL player earnings but still enough to have a more than decent life if he wants
That's over 7 million quid. Even after tax that's pretty tidy.

Am I the only one that hits the mute button for the grid walk interviews? I find it excruciating.

Does that mean Biden is cleared by Trump's lawyer to talk to the military with immunity agreed for said act
It blows my minds that they are literally arguing this point. If Trump wins the (immunity) case, the most logical thing for Biden to do, for the future of the USA and the world is to immediately send in seal team 6.
I had to put immunity in brackets so it wasn't mistaken for the hush money case
Or the slander case
Or the mishandling of secret documents case
Or the fake electors case
Or one of the fraud cases
Im sure I've missed plenty too.

I'd have What we do in the shadows on the list. Really worked for me. MASH and Cheers would be my US favourites.
I have to admit my brain went to these as the goats though:
Blackadder
Porridge
Only fools and horses
Red Dwarf

In a really fun game to watch, with some superb goals, my favourite moments had to be watching Rogers recieving the ball in midfield, turning his man effortlessly and surging up the pitch. Then watching him do it again and again and again.

Just back from the game, happy as punch.
From the moment I saw how Bournemouth were set up to play against us, I knew we would score goals today. They pushed the forwards and midfield up against our deep lying defence when we had the ball, but they didn't put any significant high energy pressure on us.
This left a big gap between their midfield and back 4. The Bournemouth back 4 was in a very strange place. They managed to leave a space Infront of them for our advanced midfielders to stand in, AND they left space in behind them for Watkins to run into, which he did with great effect.
If I could pick how a team would set up to play against us it would look a lot like Bournemouth today. They even left significant passing lanes open for our defence to get the ball into midfield. Even at a goal down I wasn't worried, knowing we would inevitably find a way to goal. It was really enjoyable watching how ruthlessly we exploited their setup though.

Lille will slow down and we win near the end?

Lille are at 1000mph at the moment. It is very hard to deal with. If we can get through 60 minutes still in the game we can do this.

The Tories referring the Police to look into cases of potential tax evasion (in their opposition). Do they really want to go down that road?
They might as well, in a few months there won't be any Tory MPs to investigate so not much risk.

Anyone else noticed how much Ella Purnell looks like Winnie Cooper from the wonder years?
Great show btw. 3 episodes in and quality remains high.

Just watch Richards. At 36 seconds in to this video you will see the lowest effort defending I have ever seen. He easily makes my all time worst ever Villa 11. He is a better pundit than a player though.
This is in no way an endorsement of Richards as a pundit.

Genuinely not watched a single race or quali since the Hamilton / Verstappen fix in 2021.
I'm not really a Hamilton fan, but to have invested so much time (a race weekend is easily 10 hours of tv) to watch it kind of fixed just took away my care for F1, literally overnight.
This was the end for me too. I didn't stop completely, I still catch the odd bit if I've nothing better to do, but the fire went out that day and there has not been a single spark to reignite it since then.

It’s ridiculous how much police and lawyer resource is occupied investigating these ****.
First question I'd ask if I was the police.
So you say you were worried that the individual may have had compromising material on you and thought the best response was to send more compromising material?
