A question for those who keep suggesting we make a move for Klopp. Are you taking the piss or do you not understand the size of Borussia Dortmund as a club or how highly rated Klopp is in world football?

Its mad isn't it. Some of the names mentioned are unbelievable.

    Lennon for example.

This is for you troon_villan, i can tell you want him as manager, just don't want to admit it :D

We got rid of Culverhouse,Karsa and Keane because of their training ground methods, and yet people want to bring in Lennon, the mind boggles.

The difference is, Lennon is getting results
Not in the real world, though.

Bolton were bottom when Lennon took over. They are now 13th, 7 points clear of the bottom 3. I think you will find in the real world, that is called getting results. But dont let get facts get int the way of fantasy.

  5. Most winners aren't likeable. Who gives a shiit if you don't like Lennon.

Totally agree. I said this last night, who cares if you like them or not, if they get results?

Lambert came across as too weak to me, more the teams mate than a manager. Need a bit of steel and authority in there.

Most winners are nasty b******s :D

Are people still kidding themselves on here that Richard knows what going on at VP?

Richard might not be 'ITK' but he does seem to have an uncanny sixth sense for what's going to happen, only yesterday he was certain that Lambert was going to leave and that's what happened.

What, you mean when he said "It will be a mutual agreement, he will not be sacked"  :D

I think it was odds on that he would be sacked yesterday or today, wasn't really hard to guess.

I have got nothing against Richard at all, just he has never got anything right about Villa (which couldn't have been easily guessed beforehand) what i have seen in the last couple of years.

Yep - but Richard posted 'The end is Nigh' quite early yesterday. Others were still adamant he wasn't going anywhere @ 7pm..

I don't Richard is ITK in the sense of having a source at the club - I do beleive he has a finger on every rumour - coupled with villa knowledge, enables him to make very good calls.

I certainly look out for his posts...

That's you r opinion mate, fair play.

But he posted that after it was reported on here that he had been cut to 1/8 on Skybet, which was a certainty really.

I don't actually think Managerial betting is a good guide - a small of money can move the market significantly

If thats what you want to believe, fair enough.

Anyone who knows betting knows that to take it from 1/3 to 1/8 takes big money, not fivers and tenners. I also commented that Paddy Power had cut odds from evens to 4/11, which was very unusual as Paddy Power usually stand firm in their odds, so i had just as much idea he was going to be sacked.

    So there! :D

  8. Hoddle has links to Wenger

Cmon, you take Richards posts far to serious sometimes.

Martin Keown on Match Of The Day said there was talk of Glenn Hoddle coming to the club. Tom Fox came from Arsenal, so it's pretty obvious he might consult in Wenger for recommnedations.

This is not inside information, just intelligent guesswork which anyone could do.

If it then turns out the new manager has no links at all to Wenger, it's just 'This was the info i was told'.

Lennon has came in from 25-1 to 14-1 past 5 minutes. I hope its him.

Are you serious? He's vile vile creature.

I would find it devastating if he was in the premier league never mind our great club.

Why are people so obsessed with a managers personality? If he can get a team winning, who gives a flying f**k how he acts? I want to see someone with a bit of passion, instead of another Lambert pretending everything is ok. Ron Saunders hardly ever smiled and came across as a proper hard, miserable sod. Who cares?
This is about as naive as Tom Cleverley's Twitter Q & A.

Why, because i don't agree with you? Ok, so why is Lennon a vile, vile creature?

He is a guy that beat Barcelona with a so called 'pub team' as some people like to refer them as.

  12. Well your never going to listen to me again, genuinely gobsmacked

Haha, i was just thinking, who was that guy who said he knew someone at the club and said Lambert was going nowhere lol!

Fair play for taking it in good humour!

Probably nothing, i know William Hill and Skybet were 1/3 and 2/7 in the betting.

Pappy Power were evens, but within an hour they have cut the odds to 4/11

    Now thats interesting.

Interesting in what way? Really wouldn't read much into betting. Remember Bob Bradley being favourite for the job.

Paddy Power usually stand pretty firm in their odds.  Like i said , probably nothing

  14. I quite like Paul Lambert in all honesty - I think he's genuinely honoured to be at the helm of our club, has handled all the uncertainy over the club's future with integrity and finally assembled a decent squad.

However, no matter how much I would like him to succeed here, I just can no longer see it happening.

Something is 'wrong' at the club, be it from the top down and the apathy has leeched it's way on to the pitch, where no one really seems to care (barring the fans)

I feel we can no longer just bimble along 'hoping and reassuring ourselves' that all will be ok.

A change is needed and the only change that is viable and can be immediately effected is replacing the manager.

I have no idea who would want to step into his shoes considering the current predicament the club find themselves in though...

Agree with this.I think he is a genuine, hard working guy, but enough is enough. I really wanted him to turn it around and prove us all wrong, but he doesnt help himself sometimes in the interviews. He said last night that Benteke and Gabby were unlucky with chances. Paul, it was the 92nd minute.
